How to import photos on ipad series 1 created in old windows pc into new imac?

Just taken delivery of new iMac and trying to import (and save) the photos on my iPad Series 1 into iPhoto or iTunes on the iMac. Understand that photos on iPad are stored as Saved Photos Album but don't know how to find the album and copy it inti iMac. Please can anyone help?

If you prefer, delete the iTunes folder on the Mac before copying it from Windows 7.

I can not import my photos from my iphone6 to my Macbook pro. I have plugged it in and clicked import and nothing happens. It's very frustrating. I've tried unplugging and re-plugging the phone. I've tried restarting the computer but it will not let me saying "photos are being imported". Though at this point my phone is no longer plugged in.

Can i import photos from ipad to windows based computer.

my ipad is losing charge very quickly and I have been told by apple genius bar support that the battery is working fine. They say I need to back up the ipad and then reload from scratch. But they say that if I simply use the back up I am likely to have the same problem, so what I really need to do is make sure that my photos are safe and then can choose what to reload. But I have a windows pc not a mac and I cant see how to transfer the photos on the ipad to the computer. Apple say they know nothing about windows computers. Any easy, non technical ideas please?

Then, to import photos from iPad to computer, there are two ways:
Way 1: If you have enable iCloud, you can see and copy the photos you took in the last 30 days on Windows iCloud panel which you have installed on your computer. However, there is an advantage that you can not import all photos.
Way 2: You can use iTunes to copy the photos on iPad to your computer. Install the latest iTunes and connect iPad to the computer. Then, you'll see your device on the "Computer (disk)" list , click it, you can see all your pictures on the iPad and import or copy it to the computer.

I have contacted iTunes and they are going to refund my money which is great.
I went to store and purchased Adobe Photoshop and Premier (single package) Elements 10 s. I am using a new iMac with OS 10.7.4
The Photoshop installed OK but she I chose to import photos from my camera and chose to create new folder named as the date shot a new folder is created but it totally shows the wrong date, I am sure we are not in 1970 or 1999 LOL. This happened with both a Canon Powershot and a Canon EOS camera. This problem does not occur with Picasa which works perfectly and does beg the question why I am persisting with Adobe products!
The Premiere (on the same disk as Photoshop) will not install and I get the following error message

You can't import a one library into another library with either Photos or iPhoto. You could with iPhoto if the library to be imported was created by iPhoto 6 or earlier and still had a normal folder for the library. Since iPhoto 7 libraries became packages and can't be imported into another library.

thanks but exactly how do I do this. I tried setting the new macair up using migration assistant but for some reason not everything has come through. I bought a thunderbolt cable to improve the transfer rate.
