How to import PS layers in Edge animate

Hi, I want to import PS layers in Edge but I dont know how... I know it in Illustrator...but there is a subtility that I dont know with Photoshop...Someone can help me ?

You can use the script to save your layers unless your have groups. In that case I save my file as a second psd and in that one flatten my groups before exporting to files.

Are you talking about the Creative Cloud? If so, you can compress the Edge Animate files into one folder as a .zip file, and then upload the entire .zip file by clicking the Upload button on Creative Cloud:

I am having this same issue! I am searching through forums on what tools to use to create a good zoom and pan on an image that contains hyperlinks an other things, developed in Adobe Edge Animate.
So far, here are some solutions I have come across:

Thanks a lot for replying, actually i am creating a short LAMP animation. In which i used Blur filter on the fire flares(SVG images), everything works just fine on google chrome, but for IE10 & Firefox the filter seems not working, so i need to know is it possible to override the fallbacks for the Blur Filter through external StyleSheet.
IE10 & firefox rendered Image, blur filter not working Google Chrome rendered Image, blur filter working perfectly
So, can you please guide me, what shall i do in maintaining quality of my graphics as well while such animation's.

Yes, i have tried already. I just thought that could be another way. I do
infographics, so i need to make the graphics and the rest with illustrator
first, and it takes some time to export all the elements individually with
svg format and then, get all the elements together in AN to finally do the

Sprite sheet from PhotoShop CC 2014 layers to Edge Animate?

The Photoshop CC 2014 script that takes layers and generates a sprite sheet to the latest Edge Animate does not appear to work correctly. Unless I"m missing something very obvious (that isn't in the instructions below provided by Adobe), it doesn't take the seperate layers and seperate them out correctly in the output png file. You can use the Export Png Sequence feature included with Flash CS6 to export a series of pngs from your symbol animation (tut by Tom Green):

Then import the pngs to Fireworks, and use John Dunning's plugin to export a symbol directly to Edge Animate:

I am trying to import a Photoshop psd file into AE. This file has a lot of layers. When I do File > Import > FIle, it ask me whether I want to import as footage or Layers.
When I chose Layers, I am asked which layers I wanna import in. As I have to import one layer at a time, this is time consuming. How can I import all layers at one go ?

How do I stream video in edge animate?

I am a Flash Pro convert, which means I know action script, but not html, html5 or js. I found a training video that talks about embedding youtube video through the use of a container and creationComplete coding. However, I would prefer not using embeded youtube video (since I think it still requires flash player). I also was unable to even make the youtube embeding work.
I downloaded a html5 player/converter thinking I could convert the video to html5 video and drop the associated code into my composition. But unfortunately, I don't know if this is possible or where I might "drop" the code in. I've searched for several hours for a solution to this problem and have found very little information related to my issue.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm willing to put in the work to find answers and learn, but at this point I suspect I may not know the right questions to ask.

How do I turn an entire Edge Animate project into a symbol

I have created an Edge Animate project that features a short animated tutorial for our website. Now I realize that I would like to incorporate that project inside a larger project. Is there any way to convert the entire tutorial into a symbol that can be added to the larger project?

Hi, Paul-
You'll need to do a little bit of wrangling to make this happen, but the easiest thing to do is:
Select everything in your elements panel and convert to symbol
Transfer all of your triggers by highlighting them all in your main timeline and cutting (Ctrl/Cmd-X), then:
Open your symbol
Move the playhead to the time location of your first trigger
Paste (Ctrl/Cmd-V)
Transfer all of your timeline-based and stage-based code manually
Hopefully that helps - it's a little bit of a pain if you have a lot of code involved, but if you only have timeline-based things, most can be cut and pasted over.

Hi guys, please am new in a lot of stuff in edge animate but I need some help. I want to create a lightbox containing image slider (loading from an external image folder) but I want the images to be preloaded first then edge displays the slider for a smooth experience. Or is it that Edge preloads all assets before playing the website if of course I use the inbuilt preloader built within edge. I often assume that the preloader built into edge might not include the image slider i intend to load externally.(Please correct me if am wrong). Still struggling with a Edge. How do I edit text in Edge Animate?

I do not code. I just want to format my text boxes in Edge. What if I only want a portion to be in bold? What if I want to indent in a certain spot? I have been cutting and pasting from a word document. Some formatting comes through while some does not. Please advise.

This is easy - just use html tags and styles or use and load a css file.

How to add css styling to Edge Animate elements?

I have done a complete search on this, and have tried based on the example here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/979124?promoid=KBHBD
But I can't seem to get it to work...
I am trying to justify text created in Edge (in which I named the div "bio" in the properties panel) using this method in document.compositionReady - $("#bio").css("text-align","justify");
But it won't work.. I can't find many examples of using css to style divs in Edge so can someone help me?
ALSO - to help others who may have the same question, would you also be able to explain to noobs what the generic proper method is?
