How to import the IDOC into Seeburger BIC mapping designer

Hi All,
Can u please tell me how to import the IDOC into Seeburger BIC mapping desginer.
I have scenario My scenario is SAP GTS 7.0.....>Seeburger BIS.....>Atlas customs system for Germany
Idoc coming from SAP GTS to Seeburger BIS and then convert to EDIFACT send
to Atlas systeam.
Regards,
Ramesh.

Hi Ramesh
BIC is a tool from Seeburger to transmit the XML data to EDI and EDI to XML.
Seeburger mapping programs for transferring the XML data to EDI data and EDI data to XML data, but not for the structure changing, in the IR your mapping program is same.
Receiver side you need AS2 Adapter for converting data to EDI target structure. we have many EDI versions are available, for converting the EDI to XML or vice versa AS2 gives some default mapping programs, xml to EDI or EDI to XML convertion done through this mapping programs.
Seeburger AS adapter provider provides some mapping programs(for example EDI4010 version or other), if you are using the same EDI version(4010) then you can use that mapping programs, if the version is different then we can manually generate the Seeburger X2E and E2X mappings for the corresponding version and signal(850 or 810 or ..), for this seeburger provides the mapping designer tool (BIC), there we can develope the X2E and E2X mapping programs and configure this in the Seeburger work bench.

  • How to import Custom idoc into  IR?

I have a custom idoc and i need to map it with the receiver format after importing into IR . Please let me know the sequence of steps to import custom idoc into  Integration repository?
I think I need to first import into IDX2 and then import into repository. Am I correct?

    Hi Prateek,
thanks for the information .The normal standard idocs we import by searching the idoc eg- for importing matmas we type mat and we search it, since it is a standard idoc it will be available in the list (after selecting the chek box "Import of idoc or rfc interfaces from sap system permitted").
But my question is how we import custom idoc as they wont be present in the list?

  • Seeburger BIC mapping designer : querry

    Hi,
We have installed the SeeBurger BIC adapter. I have a querry regarding the mapping that we specify as a parameter to the BIC module in the modules tab of the communication channel.
Are there standard mappings provided with the installation for EDI -> XML and vice versa , and we simply need to provide the name of the mapping that needs to be used or do we need to develop the mappings from scratch using the BIC mapping designer.
If the first case is true then how to get the names of all the mappings that are provided so that we can make out which one do we need to use. If it is not so please help me with the BIC mapping designer manual path on the installation as we are not able to figure out the path to the manual.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pravesh Puria.

    Hi Babu,
<i>1."you can use these mappings in "Modules" of your seeburger communication channel."
    >> can we use these developed mappings with BIC MD in any communication channel of Seeburger like OFTP,FTP ,AS2 ,BIC or we need to use those mapping with only BIC communication channel?</i>
    >>> Yes Babu,You can use this in all communication channel modules .
one thing, "BIC" is not a seeburger adapter type.
You need to deploy BIC Mappings in your XI server.
You have to refer Seeburger manuals for this.
<i>2.lets say if we have developed mappping with BIC MD ,then do we need to develop mapping with XI mapper too or its not needed?but if we do mapping with Xi then data format will be of xml but it needs to be converted to/from EDI ,so how it can be possible just with XI maping and no BIC MD mapping?</i>
    >>> No, You Cannot do it in only  with XI Mapper.
First you need to use BIC Mapping in modules which will convert your EDIFACT format to EDI-XML.
After this you need to Apply XI Mapping Which will Convert EDI-XML to your IDOC-XML.i.e. your mapping program.

  • Mappings_user.sca - Seeburger BIC Mapping Designer

    Hello experts,
I have read SAP note 1353318 about how to start the BIC adapter on PI 7.1.
Question: where do I get the file "mappings_user.sca" from? It says it is on the BIC Mapping Designer-CD, but the installation files I received via the Internet - I do not have the CD.
Can I somehow create that file with the BIC Mapping Designer that I have already installed?
Thank you for any hint you can give me!
    Best regards,
    Peter

    Hey peter,
go to your seeburger installation directorys bin folder and check for bicdesigner.ini file and add the  below cmd
CmdLnArgX=-ProjectAdmin  where X will be 4 (i.e. count of cmd line agrs used ) .
Then start the bic mapping designer tool and go to tools option there you can see a new option called Assign Projects to SDA, after that you can create a deploy file..This is new option provided by seeburger bic so that only project Admin can have rights of creating the deploy file.
If you still face any problems post the same..

  • Seeburger BIC Mapping Designer: Special Character (German Umlaut) Problem

    Hi,
i have created a Mapping with Seeburger Mapping Designer (Invoicd96a to XML). I started the test environment, compiled the mapping and converted the Message to XML. I got a syntax error in the destination file so i added the setSourceEncoding("UTF-8") option and i got a working xml file.
My problem is that all special characters, will be displayed as ? So the word "Beträge" will be converted to "Betr?ge".
What i have to di, to fix this problem ?
    Thanks in advance

    hi,
i have to create an Edifact to XML Mapping with the BIC Mapping Designer. After creation i can deploy this mapping to SAP XI and calling it by using it as module in the specified adapter.
My idea is that the mapping should working correct in test enviroment before i deploy to SAP PI.
    Perhaps anyone has an idea.

  • Seeburger BIC Mapping Designer Material & Further Validations

    Hi Guys,
I was hoping if someone can point me to more material on BIC Mapping designer as only thing i have the standard PDF which came with it. However I need to do more stuff e.g. enhance validations and put a few more checks in. Was wondering If one available?
    regards

    Hi Mimranacc,
Can you please give me an example of the kind of validation that you would like to do?
SEEBURGER do have separate integration tool called SEEBURGER BIS(Business Integration Server).Check with any of your friends who are working on that. They can help you out for more material. Some times the content tend to change based on the version of BICMD do check that also .I don't think its available on SDN as its SEEBURGER proprietary content.

  • How to import the data into another Tablespace?

I have a Oracle user USER1 with default tablespace on "SYSTEM" tablespace.
I export utility to export user1's object with "exp" utility:
    c:\orawin95\bin> exp userid=USER1/pwd file=DATA.dmp owner=user1
Now I upgrade my Hardware Server and reinstall Oracle, I created USER1 again but change default tablespace to "NewTS".
I use import utility to import data.dmp into user1 :
    c:\orant\bin> imp userid=USER1/pwd file=DATA.dmp fromuser=USER1 touser=USER1
Question: Although I created USER1 with default tablespace "NewTS", but the imported data will still occupied on "SYSTEM" tablespace, How can I "move" the imported data to "NewTS"?

    See
Considering user = USER1 and default tablespace for user1 is SYSTEM.
    1. login to USER1
    2. create script for all the tables with dynamic statement.
    spool cr.sql
    Select 'Create Table '||Table_name||' As Select * from '||user||'.'||table_name||';' from user_tables;
    spool off
    remove garbage lines from cr.sql
    3. login in User2 ( where default table space is NEWTS )
    SQL> @cr.sql
    4. login to user1 drop all the tables from user1
login to system alter user user1 make default tablespace NEWTS
login to user2 run script in step 2 again.
    login to user1 run cr.sql
    login to user2 drop all the tables;
login to system drop user user2.
Hope this will solve your purpose

  • Reg: Seeburger BIC Mapping Designer

We are using BIC to resolve hierarchy issue.. <u>As you know we can not pasre more than 2 hierarchy levels in XI.</u>
we have a text file which contains all the records in one row..
    <Recordset>
        <Record00>  1-unbounded
             <Field>
             <Field>
            <Record01>1-unbounded
                 <Filed>
                 <Field>
<b>I did following steps in BIC...</b>
Created Datatype in INHOUSE to user project
    Edit structure and save
    Export structure (msg_....xml)
Run “CreateXMLmessage”, source file msg_....xml, target file XML_....xml)
    Import XML….xml to User Project
Run “CreateMappingXMLToEdi” source file msg_....xml, target file X2E_....xml
    Import X2E….xml to user project..
Run X2E Map by giving our source text file and output will be in xml.
    <u><b>Problems:</b></u>
<b>      In 5th Step. while importing XML to user project i am getting auto correction window which  is changing field occurances and false to true etc.
In 8th Step i am getting errors with conversion and i got the output xml file but with default values which i have given while creating datatype.</b>
I have gone thorugh all the links related to seeburger.
I would really appreciate if anyone thorw some light on the same.
    Thanks in Advance...
    Regards,
    Mansoor.

    Hi
the steps to generatt the file using the BIC is
    1.create the structure in inhouse
2.select the structure you have created , right click then go to the Export, give the destination, the file will be saved at that location.
3.now create the XML message using the create XML Message
4.After creating the XML Message import the XML file .
    5. After importing the file the file can be see in the XML node in the BIC mapper for the inhouse structure you have created.
in this way you can create the XML file.
and the created xml file you cam export as XSD,as XML. or as DTD
if you still face the problem please reply me back
    Thanks

  • Error in the Seeburger-BIC mapping designer

    Hello,
I have changed the source structure of my XML journal. I have added few extra fields to the source.
After the change my mapping started giving me errors like below
" [Error:ID=1017;LEVEL=1] BICMapping: runMapping() FATAL ERROR: null
[Description:ID=1017] BICMapping: FATAL ERROR: Internal Fault. Class could not be load or instatiated. Check Installation, access rights.
    [Error:ID=not set;LEVEL=1] null"
The strange part is the error does not occur always.
There are two mapping with the same source structure . Say A and B
Out of these A works perfectly fine but B has a problem.
One more strange thing that I observed is.:If I run mapping B and if it goes in error , it can be redecided in the following way to be successful
1.Run mapping B and it goes to error.
2.Now run mapping A .It will be successful
3.Now redecide the mapping B that you ran in step1 now even B goes on success.
If anyone of you know the reson for such kind of behaviour , please reply to my post.
    Regards,
    Aruna

    Hi,
If possible execute the mappings in BIC designer tool instead in PI...
if still some error occurs check the source data is as expected or not also the new line characters handled properly...
probably error can be due to new line handlings..

  • SeeBurger BIC mapping designer

    Hi,
I have generated two files mappings_sys.sca and mappings_sys.sda using seeburger BICMD version 1.8
In earlier versions the file generated was mappings_user.sda.
So i have doubt that the two files generated in new version are deployable or i have to do something more to get the exact deployable files.
    Thanks,
    Akkasali.

    Hi
You can deploy either by SDM or JSPM.

  • File to IDOC Scenario: where to import the idoc structure?

    Dear all,
I have a short organizational question for you all. I have created a scenario where the MDM server places a file in a FTP directory and XI will take it from there for processing to IDOC towards the SAP system.
During design time I need to import the IDOC structure as the inbound interface for the SAP system.
My question in this situation is: do I import the IDOC into the namespace of the MDM (in which I keep the outbound interface and the mappings) server or do I place it in the namespace of the SAP system?
I ask this because in the latter case the IDOC structure will be the only object in the SAP namespace. If I do not do this, I don't have to create this.
What is the right thing to do from an organizational point of view?
Thanks in advance for your input.

    Hi Yomesh and Sudheer,
thanks for your answers. To conclude this topic I will demonstrate how I have understood this all by giving you a short overview of how I will proceed now. Could you please comment???
Sender system is a SAP MDM system. For which I will create a SWC called <Company name>_MDM_DEV version 1.0.
For the receiving SAP Enterprise system I will create an additional SWC called <Company name>_SAP_DEV version 1.0.
And thus I do not put any objects under SWCs from the original installed product components.
Then I create a SWC for common objects as IDOCs (to what product does that need to be assigned???)
Then I will put the interface and message types in the corresponding SWCs and put the mappings in the source SWC as our landscape is not that huge.
    How's that???
So under which product to create the SWC for common objects is my final question...
I will provide points to you both.
    Cheers,
    Auke
