go to Tools ---> Transfer form System Landscape Dir ---> Import Software component vesrion

1. create a new software component in SLD
2. create a new version of this software component in SLD
3. import in into the repository
4. try using release transfer to transfer objects
from old on to the new one

Error in IR Namespace is not defined in the software component version

Hi All,
Please provide your valuable inputs to resolve the issue.
Namespace http://xxx.com is not defined in the software component version xxx_xxxxxx , 1.0 of xxx.com
Though the software component was already created in SLD and imported.All the developers were able to access the software component and create the Namespaces for their scenarios, but when tried to Activate the scenario above mentioned error is displayed.
Below are the checks done.
1.In Exchange Profile checked the properties,
com.sap.aii.connect.cr.httpport
com.sap.aii.connect.cr.name
com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.httpport
com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.name
2. Tried to import the software components once again through IR -- No results
3. Restarted the Java Engine through SMICM -- No results

Hi Jochen,
This is occuring due to that the created namespace is not getting activated. As mentioned in earlier replies that if you have copied objects from somewhere else then all the related information should also be copied. If the problem resists then you can create all the needed objects in IR again and activate it separately instead of activating all at once.

When u click on Product then it will give u one screen where u need to provide product,Unit,vendor,version,name all fields are mandatory.
Yes it is mandatory field.

Problem with importing software component versions from SLD to I.R

Hi Guys,
I have some problem in importing my software component versions from SLD to IR. While connecting to SLD it is using the port 50100. Instead of 50000. We are manually correcting it while connecting to SLD. but when we try to import the Software Component Versions from the SLD to IR. It is saying no objects available in 50100. It is not connecting to port 50000. Pls any body help me with some solution. Thanks in advance.

In the Integration Builder page, Click on the Administration and check the following parameters to make sure they are pointing to right SLD system and port.
com.sap.aii.connect.cr.httpport,com.sap.aii.connect.cr.name,com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.httpport,com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.name
Also check with Tcode SLDCHECK too

How to delete a software component in the IR

I imported a software component from the SLD to the IR.
Now I want to delete it. I can delete it in the SLD.
But how can I get rid of it in my IR. The software component is empty.

You can delete software components & versions from the IR in XI 2.0. (We're on Service Pack 5, and I've done it to clean up our IR.)
Here is the process:
1. Delete all configuration and/or import objects from the SCV. Don't forget the 2 fault data types that SAP automatically creates in every namespace.
1a. Activate all change lists? I don't remember for certain if this is needed here; if it won't let you save the deleted namespaces in step 2, then do this first.
2. Double-click on the Software Component Version so that it comes up in the right pane. Click on the change/edit button. Delete all the namespaces from the SCV. Save.
3. Activate all change lists. (It won't let you delete the SCV if you have uncommitted changes.)
4. Open the SCV again (if it's not still open). On the menu at the top of the right pane, go to Software Component Version...Delete. You may or may not have to activate changes again.
If I remember right, the software component will disappear automatically with the deletion of the last version.

Hi Gurus,
I was trying out the import export function of XI. I export a message mapping and then re-import it back into XI. However, after doing that, it is telling me that the Software Component Version cannot be changed. I'm now unable to make any changes to any of the objects.
Is there anyway to go ard this?

Originality indicator for the software component version set later Ensure that the software component version only contains one original repository
i ignored the error and activate the change list.
However, im still unable to make changes. I tried ticking the "Original Objects" as well but still unable to change.

Insufficient authorization to import software component version from SLD

hi guru
i can not import software component version from SLD into ESR. once the software component version has been chosen, a message will be displayed, Insufficient authorization to create object ElementTypeId: 0, Name: SALES, Vendor: sap, Version: 1.0, GUID: 32e93300b3e511decc06ecae0a421877, after CREATE button has been clicked.

Hi Stephen,
If you want to create the SWCV and import that SWCV to the IR/ESR then your user having either one of the below roles.
SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR
SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER
Go to transaction SU01 and give your user name and click on display.
Now click on Roles tab, here you check the above roles are appearing or not, if not then you don't have privilizes to do that things.
If you don't have that credentials then contact your BASIS guy.

Can not view a Software Component Version in Enterprise Services Repository

Hello,
I'm trying to import in ESR the software component version created in the SLD. I'm using SAP PI 7.3.
Into to work area select Software Component Version and click on checkpoint Import from SLD. Click in bottom Display (List of Software Component Versions) and it show me the list but cannot view the Name of the SWC created.
I cleared the cache (Environment - clear sld data cache) and the result it's the same, not show the SWC the I created.
Do you have any idea?

as it's a new installation, you certainly missed something. have you did controls of Readiness Check doc and tcode SLDCHECK ([see PI 7.1x oss note|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1143810]).

Error during import/export Software Component in IR

After updating XI(DEV) to following SP19 stacks, the problem was encountered with the export or import of design objects in integration repository.
All following were completed successfully,
1. SAP KERNEL 6.40, to latest patch level 155;
2. SAP BASIS 6.40, from SP15 to SAPKB64019;
3. SAP ABA 6.40, from SP15 to SAPKA64019;
4. SAP J2EE ENGINE 6.40, from SP15 to SP19;
5. XI ADAPTER FRAMEWORK CORE 6.40, from SAPXIAFC15 to SAPXIAFC19;
6. XI ADAPTER FRAMEWORK 6.40, from SAPXIAF15 to SAPXIAF19;
7. XI TOOLS 6.40, from SAPXITOOL15 to SAPXITOOL19;
When we try to import the Software Component XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_19_00.tpz, a problem happened with the exception (See Exception below), and then we cannot log in any component of JAVA stack for unauthorized reason untill we restart the J2EE engine.

If I use the "release transfer" function of IR, the new created version can be export correctly.
I've tried to create a new SC and SWCV, it can be export & import correctly.
Also, if copied all of the objects from a namespace to a new namespace, and delete the old one, that SWCV can be export correctly.
Anyone knows what's wrong within my IR?

While Importing some components has missed and the Exception is unable to handle it. Is it possible for you to Import again and check the table space is sufficient.

How to import the SAP R/3' rfc's and Idoc's in to the integration repositor

Hi all,
        One of my friend who is practicing with SAP XI software. He installed SAP XI and SAP R/3(using the VmwareWorkstation ) in single system. What i have seen that is,
Left side we can see(IR) the software component version's and namespaces. Under namespaces we can see imported objects. If we right click on the imported objects then it will show import of SAP objects.
            Then it generally show SAP R/3 system name and client number(800) + input text parameters for the application server and system number.
           But what it was showing that XI's system name and XI's client(100) number. Even i have entered SAP R/3 server name and system number and it's username and password. Then it was telling the corresponding client doesn't exist.
Please help me to solve this problem.

Transport products and software component version

Hi,
I created a Products and its Software Component Version in System Landscape Directory of XI development.
I imported this Software Component Version into Integration Builder and developed design and configuration objects.
The scenario is completed and now I want to transport the Products and Software Component Version to XI Production.
Could someone please explain the transport procedure.

Thanks four your instructions. I would like to have more details on the export/import procedure. Please confirm the following steps are correct:
From SLD of XI development:
1/ Edit new product and its software component version.
2/ Click on icon Export: XI generates a zip file and downloads it in c drive.
From SLD of XI Production:
1/ Select Import utility under system catalog.
2/ Browse and select the zip file
In XI production there are existing third party products, and I do not want the transport of this new product causes any problem.
Design and configuration objects will be exported/import ed after the successful transport of product and software component version transport.

We have XI 3.0 running on MaxDB & Linux environment. Due to some mistake we had imported ALL Software Component versions from SLD. Since it was not required, we have to delete around 150 objects from repository.
We can delete one by one. But I am looking for option where we can delete multiple objects at time, which will save our time.

You could try to get the Basis people to restore from a backup. (But that would only work, if you had a backup from just before, or there aren't too many changes after the last backup you can rollback to).
I don't think there is any other way of doing a mass-delete of SWCs.
