How to import video into premire 8

After the welcome screen, the premiere element 8 displays a grey screen. i cant work on any project. i used it before. what i am doing wrong.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 8 running on?
Are you working from the 8.0.1 Update of the program?
Do you have the automatic Background Rendering and AutoAnalyzer features disabled?
When did you use the program last for a successful video import, edit, and export?
For starters delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole 8.0 Folder that the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists.
Assuming Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit....

and in the 8.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then you delete the whole 8.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.

How to import video into iTunes?

This may be obvious to some but for the life of me I can't find out how to do it. Perhaps someone can give me a hand. The Apple documentation is incredibly vague about this topic.
I have some video files (in .wmv format, but I have a converter that can convert to other formats). I want to import them into iTunes so that I can play them on an iTouch. It shouldn't be rocket science but I can't find precise instructions on how to do it. I have the latest iTunes and OS 3.1.2 for the iTouch.

Well with some help from a co-worker and some experimentation I finally managed to load video onto iTunes. Apparently only files of the type .mp4 and .m4v (maybe .mov also?) will work. You have to open the "Movies" panel from the "Library" tab and then drag the files over there. Try dragging any other kinds of file and iTunes will just ignore you. Is it really so hard for Apple to describe that simple procedure in Help?

But we have videos that were downloaded from another program that we would like to import into iTunes. When we select import file, and then chose the video file, the computer freezes. I'm from Canada and am looking for help in downloading videos to my 30GB video ipod. I seem to not be able to purchase videos because I live in Canada. When I enter my address and credit card info - it notices its from Canada and won't let me download anything. Not sure what to do - support is non-existent for itunes and Apple. Any ideas? How to import swc into Adobe Flash CS3 ?

I use following command to create a swc file,such as test.swc, there is a file named test.swf in myapp directory
compc -include-sources myapp -output test.swc

I'm running Windows 8.1. I do see the QuickTimeGlue.dll file as you stated.
I have actually found a solution to my question. Since QuickTime 7.7.5 might be too new, I tried installing QuickTime 7.1 and the message went away. But now I run into a new problem: only .avi and a few .mov files can be uploaded correctly. When I try to upload other common video formats like .mp4, .m4v, etc, then the layers just come out as black, white, and sometimes green layers. The preview window where I drag the range length of video I want to import as layers is also blank as black, white, or sometimes green. You have any ideas what's causing this? At times, I cant even see the preview, I just get a new error message: "Could not complete the Video Frames to Layers command because the file name was not valid."

I would probably use MPEG Streamclip (free) for this. There are versions for both Mac and PC platforms and if the PC version works the same as the Mac version, it will allow you to convert your files to DV, AIC, Motion-JPEG, MPEG-4, or H.264 video with Linear PCM, MPEG-4 (AAC), or other audio compression formats know to be accepted by iMovie '08.

And yet just another example of how apple-centric limitations frustrate even the simplest functions. If I can import a video directly into my iPad from my "non-apple" camcorder, and play it... Then I shouldn't have to use iTunes on another computer to not only covert the file, but to import it as well so that iMovie can "see" it!!!

Importing Video into Flash Project ?

Hi, I want to ask you about how can I import video into my Flash Project and make it possible to view ?
I tried to choose embed FLV but the sound quality is quite shity and the video quality too. Furthermore, It expands the timeline which is too long because my video is quite long too. It said that it can be at least 16000 Frames to run.
Now I choose Import -> Import Video -> Load External ..... and then I put it on one scene. The thing is that when I test it, it looks like I have to expands the timeline too so that I can play the videos fully. And It will slow down the computer so much when I want to export. Is there any way I can play the video only by just creating one keyframe ?
Please help me.

i choose Load -> External and it gives me some FLVPlayback in the library too ... But how I can make it relate to the previous scene and it can play the whole video and then back to the first scene...
First scene is where people can choose some option that I made of ...
A is where I link to the scene 3 of my project
B comes to Scene 4
C comes to Scene 5
What I'm stucking right now is how can I made the C choice for people to choose and they can see the videos. I tried to drag the FLVPlayback to the scene 6 and it shows some result. But I think if I want to watch the whole video I need to expand the timeline as much as possible and I really don't want that. Is there any actionscript code or some tips that I can make it possible? Sorry because I'm a newbie so I don't understand your words. Can you explain it more ?

I'm trying to get a video that I recorded and edited with my iPhone 4 and iMovie, on my PC so I can share it with others. It won't email because the file size is too big (but the video is only 1:20...) and I uploaded it to YouTube but they removed the audio because it's copyright infringment. I've going through My Computer and a few other things and all the photos get imported but when I try and play an imported video it won't load and just freezes. Any tips?
