How to Import Website File with Live Links?

I recently switched to a brand new MacBook Pro laptop and couldn't be happier. The last thing I need to migrate from Windows is my website, and I've run into a hitch.
I originally did the website in MS Word, and saved as doc type HTML, and used FTP to upload it. Not super-techie, but I'm not a web designer, and it worked to handle the basic text website.
For importing to iWeb, I've simply copied and pasted directly from the website, and that's worked okay, because most of the hyperlinks on the pages are to other pages on the site.
The problem page is the podcast page. For each podcast, there's a text block of live links to the topics/people/places discussed in that episode. When I copy and paste it into iWeb, the links are no longer live.
I can't spend the hours and hours it would take to recreate the hundreds of links, even if I wanted to.
The page is http://www.tarot-to-go.net/podcasts.html
Is there a way to import the live links?
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Hm, I'm not getting the same results when I copy and paste it into a text box into iWeb - I get blocks of text, but none of the links are live. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?
Here's the updated URL of the page:

  • Print web page to PDF file with live links in PDF file like Apple Safari's pdf prints?

    With Firefox for Macintosh, can I print a web page to PDF in such a manner that when I option the PDF file and click on a link, it is a live link that opens in my system's default web browser?
    With Apple Safari, when I print a web page to a PDF file, the links on that page are "live" and work to open the web browser to their destination. The PDF files I get from Firefox are dead. Clicking on link does not open in browser.
    Is there a way to get FireFox to act more like Safari in this regard?
    Thanks

    Seems the referenced thread is about Lion. I am having this problem in Snow Leopard 10.6.5 with Firefox. Any way to get PDFs with working links in Snow Leopard using FIrefox? I do not really want to have to use Safari for this purpose.
    Going forward when and under what circumstances will future versions of Firefox be able to create PDFs with live links? Are there any circumstances where a current or past version of Firefox can do it under any current or past version of OS X?
    Thanks.

  • How to open a file with a link ?

    I am using servlets to design an application.
    The application supports uploading and downloading of .DOC and .RTF files.
    My problem is that I am opening an uploaded file via a link.
    OPen File
    The above is also working fine and opens the file in the IE browser.
    But my problem is that I want to open the file with MS-Word...as is done on many resume-building websites.
    1) How am I supposed to do that ?
    2) Can I specify ContentType="application/msword" in a link ?
    Please Help !!

    I did the foll. w.r.t a docbase.
    A docbase stores documents and assigns an unique id to each one. The foll. is a code snippet that opens a document's contents in a browser.
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException
    Connection conn = null;
    Statement stm;
    ServletOutputStream sos = null;
    ResultSet res;
    // .... get id of document u want to open
    query = "select id from .. where object_name = ' xx' .."
    res= stm.executeQuery(query);
    Blob blob = res.getBlob("_content"); // this will get content of document identified by id
    int blobLen = (int)blob.length();
    //the foll. is the part u need..
    if (blobLen > 0) {
    InputStream contents = blob.getBinaryStream();
    response.setContentType("application/msword"); // MS Word
    byte[] buf = new byte[blobLen];
    int length = -1;
           while ((length = contents.read(buf)) != -1){
              sos = response.getOutputStream();
              sos.write(buf,0,blobLen);
    sos.flush();
    System.out.println("Doc Received");
    contents.close();
      res.close();
      conn.close();

  • How to import flat file with date in filename on a regular basis

    Hi,
    Using OWB 11gR1
    I have a file that will be delivered to an FTP each night with the date in the filename having the form YYYYMMDD-FILE.txt (ex: 20100326-FILE.txt) that I want to import to an external table.
    Now I've set up the import to the external table but am only able to import files that I specify the name for exactly. I've tried pointing to filenames such as "*-FILE.txt" and "%-FILE.txt" but that only results in errors.
    It must be possible to automatically import files with different filenames but the same structure, or isn't it? Could anyone help me solve this it'd be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi
    For dynamic files you can;
    1. either do the DDL on the external table to point to the file with the changing name
    2Copy the file to a fixed name before using the external table/maps
    3. Use the preprocessor to cat/pipe these files for the external table. See the post here http://blogs.oracle.com/warehousebuilder/2009/06/file_staging_using_external_table_preprocessor.html it shows using gunzip but could simply be doing 'cat' on a bunch of files to standard output
    Cheers

  • How to import CR2 files with XMP files?

    I'm using LR 1.4.1 on a Vista platform (with service pack 1). Last week my OS got corrupted and I had to reinstall everything.
    So I'm trying to get my catalog back into LR but am having a lot of trouble. When I try to open LR using the latest backup of the catalog, it only opens certain files. All others show up as a grey preview.
    Frustrated at this not working, I decided to just import the CR2 files from my external HD. Problem with this is that it's not bringing in ANY of the develop settings. So all of my edits are gone. This is going to cost me hours and hours and days of time to redo.
    I have several clients waiting on orders, galleries, etc and I'm at my wit's end on how to fix all this! Can anyone help me?
    Thanks,
    Annie

    > All others show up as a grey preview
    Do you mean grey boxes as thumbnails or are images grey in loupe or develop module? If it's grey thumbnails, then it's because there are no preview files generated. Generating standard previews (or 1:1 previes) should fix it. If Develop module shows images as grey then I have no idea.

  • How to import csv file with multiple tables into sql server

    I have multiple csv files that has one sheet but has 130 headers with each header having different data.
    I'd like to import each one of these header rows with data into its own file in sql server.
    I know very basic SSIS and am but am not familiar with the scripting in it though which what I assume I'd have to use.
    Each header in the csv file is structured as such(also see example pic):
    first header would be this:
          ITEM = ORG_V
          DATE = 2013-07-22 10:00 ~ 2013-07-22 10:15
    column names
    data
    second header would be this:
    ITEM = TER_V
          DATE = 2013-07-22 10:00 ~ 2013-07-22 10:15
    column names
    data
    The headers can be at any random row number as well as the data size in each excel file differs but they all start with "ITEM ="
    and then in the next row "DATE ="
    I could also convert these to excel files if it makes this process easier.

    Why don't you put a filter on D3, filter out the blanks, copy/paste to a new CSV file, save it, and import it.
    There's no way you're going to get SQL to do that kind of thing for you.  The language is for set based operations, not for complex data manipulation tasks.
    Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it.

  • How to import MXF files to Final Cut Pro with smooth editing

    Summary: Follow this tutorial to learn how to import and edit MXF files in Final Cut Pro by converting MTS to FCP native format.
    If you have a Panasonic P2, Canon XF or Sony XDCAM series camcorder,
    you may be familiar with Material eXchange Format (MXF). Though MXF is a
    great video format to record high-definition videos, it is not easy to
    use in that they are not natively supported by most NLE systems like
    Final Cut Pro. In order to import MXF to FCP for editing, the easy workaround is to transcode MXF files to FCP compatible video formats.
    Along with some help from a top MXF Converter, it can be done. To
    help those who wanna edit MXF files in FCP without problems, here I
    share with you a simple guide on how to convert MXF files to edit in
    Final Cut Pro 6/7 or FCP X.
    First of all, downloading the App- Brorsoft MXF Converter for Mac
    Overall, the program is a professional yet easy-to-use MXF Converter
    on Mac (Mavericks included) which can not only convert XF100, Canon
    C300, XF105 and XF305, Panasonic P2 recorded MXF files, but also provide
    simple video editing functions for you. The MXF to FCP Converter not
    only can convert MXF to ProRes for FCP, but also can transcode MXF
    videos for editing in Avid MC, Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie, FCE, etc.
    Just download it and follow the tutorial below to get the work done.
    Transcoding (P2) MXF files to ProRes for Final Cut Pro 6/7/X
    1. Import MXF files to the converter
    Launch the best MXF to FCP Converter, and then click the “add files” button to browse and import MXF videos from your camcorder or hard drive.
    2. Select FCP editable format
    Click the Format bar, and move mouse cursor to choose “Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov)” as output format.
    Tips:
    a. Settings- click to set video
    resolution(1920×1080/1440×1080/1280×720/720×480), bitrate (from 1Mbps to
    20Mbps), frame rate (24p/30p)
    b. Editor (next to “Add” icon)- click to set deinterlace, trim, crop, add effect, attach subtitles, etc
    3. Start transcoding MXF video to FCP
    Click “Convert” button to start converting MXF files to Apple ProRes
    MOV for FCP 6/7/X under Mac OS. Once the MXF to ProRes 422 conversion
    is done, you can transfer MXF footage into Final Cut Pro (X) for editing
    smoothly on Mac with ease.

    You may refer to this step by step guide on how to convert MXF to Final Cut Pro more supported Apple ProRes or DV at http://www.idealshare.net/imovie-fcp/mxf-final-cut-pro.html
    It also applies to convert MXF to other video or audio format. It even applies to convert other videos like AVCHD, MOD, TOD, AVI, and MPEG etc to FCP format.

  • Mts files cannot imported with audio in pro cc6. how i can import mts files with audio?

    when i am importing mts files in pro cc6. every time it is being imported without audio. though original mts files have audio. how can i import mts files with audio in cc6?

    To clarify Media Browser suggestion - very important that you copy ALL content from SD card to hard drive before importing using Media Browser. If you only have the .mts files alone, there is stuff missing that is needed for Premiere to properly interpret the video/audio.

  • Pdf-file with clickable links from iweb 09

    How can I create a pdf-file with clickable links from a website created in iweb 09?
    All iwork apps have an export button, which fulfills this task, but iweb does not.
    Any idea?

    I am running 10.5.6 on a MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz. I create my PDFs via the print dialogue. I tried to create a PDF from iweb with Hyperlinks activated and all links are dead. I tried to create the PDF from the Safari window, were all links are active, and – funny enough – sometimes all, sometimes half of my links are dead. But most of them do not work. As soon as I create PDFs from third party sites, everything works fine.

  • How to import DivX files???

    How to import DivX files??? File format not supported... Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.

    I am with you, as I get handed all sorts of "stuff." I have a normal workflow, with about anything but DV-AVI (I only do SD for now), and that is do a batch conversion with DigitalMedia Converter. I have also found that some other NLE's are more lenient, regarding odd CODEC's. I have used PrElements, CyberLink PowerDirector (does DivX pretty well, with the CODEC installed) and Magix MovieProducer Pro.
    Still, PrPro is my NLE of choice by a great stretch, and I just use the others as tools to get the media in the proper form. I have been amazed at the spectrum of formats/CODEC's that people come up with, but also by how well (when you factor out those heavily compressed deliver-only format/CODEC's and the quality loss) I can convert, and then edit some of this stuff.
    It's just the way that it goes. It's like the client, who comes in with a DVD, created in some DVR unit, and wants it edited and shipped off on another DVD. Quality loss with 2x MPEG-2 Transcodes, and the first VOB is going to also have cr*p Menus and navigation, that I have to rip around. Still, the job gets done.
    With the Moyea FLV Importer for Premiere, I can even edit that junk, when they pull something off of YouTube (only if the © issues can be handled).
    Good luck, and sorry for the bad news. PrPro is very sensitive to the CODEC's that it will edit with. Others, well not so much, but who would want to edit with them?
    Hunt
    [Edit] PS - I have never been able to Export to Xvid, though I can Export to DivX just fine. Xvid hangs PrPro, and PrE too.

  • Get 'Generic Error' when attempting to import .mov files with transparency?

    I get the 'Generic Error' when attempting to import .mov files with transparency? I'm trying to use mattes with an alpha channel but I cannot import them. I have had this same issue since cs6, now I have it with cc 2014? Any clues would be most appreciated.
    I have uninstalled the DVCPro Codec, but it didn't help.
    I have tried converting the .mov file (which is now automatic in Yosemite) and this creates a ProRes4444 Codec, Again no luck with import.
    I've seen this issue on the web, but never a solution? Anyone?

    Hi Terence,
    I tried iPhoto Library Manager but it could not solve my problem. Opening the iPhoto library I can see that the reference to the pictures are pointing to my old location not to the new one. I considered running a script that would change all pointers since this is basically what is needed (in my case from /Volumes/RAID1/Fotos/XXX to /Volumes/Fotos/XXX). Instead I inserted a soft unix link to make to connection but that did not work. It is referring to the airport disk by the airport name rather than the mounted disk name. Very strange indeed. The problem is maybe not in iPhoto but in OSX? Anyway, maybe the only way out is to take some hours and manually run through all linked photos... cumbersome and annoying!

  • How to Import AVCHD Files?

    I recently purchased a Sony HandyCam HDR-SR10 Camera. I love the camera overall but now i have video files that i need to put on my computer. After speaking with Sony Support they said that in order to transfer files i must use the camera as a hard drive basic stuff just click and drag. However i ran into the problem that all of my AVCHD Files were not able to be opened by any program. After reading up and looking around i found that it seems Final Cut Express 4 now has the ability to import AVCHD files DIRECTLY from the camera to Final Cut Express... I really would like to know how to do this in Final Cut Express.... Any Help, Insights, or Tutorials, would be GREATLY appreciated. I really just need to know how to import the files to my computer and be able to edit them.....

  • Can one make a template with live links?

    I have a simple .htm file with 5 links going out, created with image map tool.
    I'm going to create 80 similar pages, but different names, titles etc.
    Is there a way to have a template with live links retained? (inserting a new jpeg image map each time)
    Currently, I'm dragging in the big jpeg and re-creating the squares on it, and corresponding links out.
    I don't imagine a template is possible for this, but it's good to ask. thanks.

    I'm still not sure I understand what you need.  Sounds like the image map is the same for all the pages, but the image itself is different, although the images are the same size on each page.  Is that it?
    In that case, you could do this in a number of ways, but the best might be -
    Make the page have a transparent PNG/GIF image the same size as the map that has the 5 mapped areas defined on it.  Make the container for that image have a CSS BACKGROUND image that is the actual map.  Specify this CSS background image's path in an embedded stylesheet in the editable region of the head of the page.
    With this as the template, all you need to do on each page is to respecify the background image - since the embedded stylesheet is in an editable region that's do-able.  In other words the TEMPLATE would be -
    <html>
    <head>
    <!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="head">
    <style type="text/css">
    #foo {
         background-image:url(path_to_map.jpg);
         background-repeat:no-repeat;
    </style>
    <!-- TemplateEndEditable -->
    </head>
    <body>
    <div id="foo">
         <img width="map_width" height="map_height" src="transparent.png" usemap="#foomap">
    <map name="foomap">
    </map>
    </body>
    </html>
    The map image can, itself, be in an uneditable region of the page....
