How to include a property file in ear

I have a weblogic integration application inside which I have created java control project and processes. I am packaging the entire application using ant script (wlwBuild).
My requirement is to include a text file inside this ear and access it from any of the java classes inside the java control project.
Is there any way to do that?

You can add a java project in the workshop. In that java project you can have properties files, XML files or any other file.
These files get boundled with the application EAR and you can access them as if they are available in your classpath.

In the same manner i need to include the *.js* file in the JSP.It took me about 3 minutes reading through the [DWR Getting Started|http://getahead.org/dwr/getstarted] page to learn that you don't have to do any of that. Perhaps you should read that page?

How can you change property files of a EJB at Runtime?

I have got an ejb and want to change my variables which I stored in property file at Runtime.
But the property file isn´t in the jar-file of my ejb...
How can I add it.
Or How can I change the property file without new compilation.

Hi Uli,
the previous post is generally correct, but without taking any part in the sensibility of this (there are valid reasons why you would not store the values in a DB) it would be necessary for you to be a bit more specific.
Is your problem that you can not see the file from your EJB or that you don't know how to change a property file entry in general?

My requirement is to create an iView for my Web dynpro appn in EP. That is possible only by creating a PAR file. so How to create an PAR file from EAR in NWDS(NetWeaver Developer Studio).

Hi,
To create a iview,
log on to portal, New iView and select SAP webdynpro iview.
It will ask for namespace which is usually , local/Project Name
and application name is the name of the application.
We dont have to create par file for this requirement

My understanding is that mxmlc will use all available resources in the source path, as needed. Instead of giving it individual resources to include, you simply need to give it the source-path that contains those resources. This is different from a library project, which may need to include individual classes that are never used in that library.

The include directive <%@ include ... does not work with dynamic file names, because it is evaluated at compile time.
You have to use the include standard action <jsp:include page=... This is executed during runtime, and hence a dynamic file name can be used.

if i use,
<%@ page import = "FileName.class" %>
then also the same problem persists
& if i use
<jsp:include page = "Relative address"/>
the problem still remains as it is...
please help me out...i am working on developing an EJB application in which client interacts with server's Stateful session bean through a jsp page...it is necessary for me to include the home interface class file in my jsp page.
P.S. do not suggest me to include the class file in a package & then use

I did this exact thing in my jsp but it did not work, nothing popped up.
When I tried replacing it with:

It worked. Can someone tell me why? Can't i refer to javascript files this way?

I want to include a .Changelog file in a package I'm building. But in the wiki, it only mentions that it could exist, and not how to include it.
Someone knows how to do it?

just put a file named `ChangeLog` in the same directory as PKGBUILD and makepkg

How will read the property file on dynamically?

I developed 2 java files...in both the files i am reading the some content from .property file(Notes.properties)....
I created the jar file call Aix.jar using the following command.
jar -cvf Aix.jar *.class(without specifying the notes.properties file)...
then i executed the java file using the folowing command
java -cp Notes.jar;Aix.jar NotesToolTest
now i am getting following exception:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
Caused by: java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find bundle for base name Notes, locale en_US
at java.util.ResourceBundle.throwMissingResourceException(Unknown Source)
at java.util.ResourceBundle.getBundleImpl(Unknown Source)
at java.util.ResourceBundle.getBundle(Unknown Source)
at NotesToolTest.<clinit>(NotesToolTest.java:28)
I got the problem why this happening...because notes.properties is not included in jar file...that's why the above exception is coming.
But my problem is can i run the java file that will take .prooperties file dynamically(if .property is available on the current directory)...

because notes.properties is not included in jar file..Wrong. It is simply not available in the classpath.
The solution is either putting the properties file in the classpath of JVM used, or adding the system path to the propertiesfile to the classpath of the JAR.
