How to increase a column width in numbers

Hello,
Is there a way to increase the column width of a numbers table by using a short cut.
In a few words is there any shortcut to increase or decrease the size of cells and columns?
Something like command+?

No key commands are available. You can select the table then use the "Table Formatter":
These controls will apply to the items selected. If you have one column highlighted then you can change the width of that one column. If you select all columns then this control will apply to the selected columns.
you can also hover the cursor over the dividers between columns (the lines in the header... the lines between, for instance, the "A" and the "B"). The cursor will change to a vertical bar with a horizontal line with left right arrows, then click and drag as needed. Similar for rows.

How to increase the column width when viewing a spreadsheet created by a concurrent request

I have created a BI Publisher template to display the output from scheduled discoverer reports. It contains sixty three columns and the heading for each one is a variable but, in order to fit these on the page, each column is about a half a centimeter wide.
When I use the Preview Template option from the RTF file and select Excel the columns are automatically sized to accommodate the data (which is what is required). However, when I upload the template and run a concurrent request and view the output, each column is shown as half a centimetre in width so the user can see very little of the data without resizing all columns. We do not think that this will be acceptable to our users.
We are using Excel 2010 in both cases.
I have looked at this forum and tried a few things without success so any help will be gratefully received.

You can achieve this by formatting your output using HTML table tag.
Try the following code.

Whatever the version, you can click on the gutter figure and edit it.
Click once on the column and a second time on the Gutter measurement.

The PO number in our sales order is of 28 characters..
However when we display list of sales orders using transaction code VA05 only first 20 characters are displayed...
Is there any settings required so that all the 28 characters are displayed in the report.

If you have put the 28 characters PO number in sales order header -- purchase order data tab then only you can see these 28 characters in VA05. Also, increase the column width for this PO number column in VA05 then you can see the 28 characters number. I think you have put less that 28 characters in the overview screen assuming that they are 28... right? this PO number field in overview screen in not of the same length as the mentioned above...

Menu > Table > Freeze Header Columns.
You can only freeze Header Columns. So you need at least one!

I have a Interactive Report and I want to wrap the column values.
Also want to increase/decrease width of the columns..
I have 2 columns say.. Description and List
List - aaaaaaa, bbbbbbb, hhhhhhh, nnnnnnn, 222222, 55555555, 77777777, ..... // list of values are seperated by ,
         // 1. want to wrap the values ..I mean to decrease the width

Actually, I want to increase/decrease the column width in Interactive Report.
As shown the in the example of Description field...it's coming in 4-5 lines.
I want to increase the width of Description column..so that it should come only in 2 lines..

I am executing an ALV report in background , in front end i am getting data properly, in back end for some columns some of the digits are missing.For example if PO no is of 10 digits it will display only 8 becos column size is like that , how to extract coulmns in back ground.

How to set dynamic column width for analysis item

Dear Experts,
I have a query view which is added in the web template as an analysis item. The web item properties on width is not working - I tried entering a value in the width but when I execute the template, the query view's width still stays the same.
Module com.sap.ip.bi.rig.ColumnWidth don't seem correct because I don't want the column width to be static. As my number of columns may change, I wanted the overall width of my query view to stay the same.
Appreciate any ideas which can solve this issue

Hi Huimin,
I don't think it is possible to fix the width of the Analysis webitem since it dynamically adjusts its width based on the text maxlength within its cells. Unless you use com.sap.ip.bi.rig.ColumnWidth where the cols are static, you cannot achieve this.
Even if you do override the css settings using a cell padding or something, the portal settings would override the same. How about using a Report webitem to insert tables/charts & check if the width can be adjusted here - just a thought.
