How To Increase Display Resolution on RD650

How do I increase the display resolution of the console via the Java viewer or ThinkServer System Manager software? It's currently limited to a max res of 1024x768. This is a Hyper-V server and I need a better resolution on the host for managing VM's.

If you are mirroring the displays they will have the same resolution, if you are extending the displays you can have different resolutions for each display.

The display brightness can be changed using the key combination FN + F6 (increase) and FN + F7 (decrease).
Did you read the user manual? This is mentioned in the manual preinstalled on the notebook.
Furthermore you should also check the Win 7 Power Options.
You can find this in control panel -> power options.
I assume the notebook switches to another battery optimized power plant while you disconnect the AC adaptor. In such case the display brightness goes down to ensure longer battery working time. You can change the brightness level for this power plant too.

On my report, I have to display labels with a length of 35 or more character for parameters. ex."Please Enter the Payment Date(MM/DD/YYYY)*". But When I try to run the report in BI Publisher, I am seeing the display label only as 'Please Enter the Paymen... '. How can I increase the display label width for parameters?
I am using Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.6.5 .

I have this 'Please enter the Payment Date(MM/DD/YYYY)*' for a label with text size 100, but when I am trying to open the report, why I am seeing only this much 'Please Enter the Paymen...'. I am missing 't Date(MM/DD/YYYY)*' in the display of parameter label.

Just installed S10..The monitor that I am using runs pretty high resolution but the highest option that I can choose is 1024x768...What is the easiest way to increase the selections?
Also where would I look to find audio drivers for this box? The speaker has a red line going through it...Speaker works fine with latest dev build of opensolaris, though...Thanks.

try to use <MaxVisibleRows>500</MaxVisibleRows> this will apply entire application, if you just want to set particular report edit analysis--> table/pivot view properties and increase the no of rows display.

How to force display resolution at 1280x1024, or any specific value?

I bought a KVM from aten, a cs-1764 DVI model, on which both my powermac G4 and G5 attached. The console monitor is Samsung 172x with native resolution at 1280x1024.
For both G4 & G5, the systems can detect my monitor as syncmaster and use its native resolution if I start the system from either box. But when I switch from another, for G4, I have to re-detect the display if I didn't start from that box, the system only knows it's a 1024x768 KVM monitor. For G5, it automatically detects syncmaster everytime but takes 5 seconds to be ready for use.
Is it possible to turn off autodetect feature at specific DVI output and force it to use resolution as designated?

I have the exact same KVM and the same issuue with my powermac G5. I just tried SwitchResX and I don't think it helps. It can configure and fix a resolution for a particular monitor, but the problem with using the KVM, is that it thinks the monitor has been disconnected and so re-arranges the desktop. When you then switch back, it re-arranges it again to fit the 'new' display.
What is needed (I think) is a way to force the resolution of the machine to stay the same when the monitor is disconnected. My G4 and Intel Minis have no problem with this.
Any more ideas anyone?

Okai. This might sound silly. But I wanted to ask. The maxium resolution of my Macbook Pro is 1280 x 800.
Is there any way I can increase, or get a bigger resolution?
I like to design websites, and I want a bigger workspace to arrange all my windows. So do you have any suggestions for me? I use an external monitor when im working at home, but when it comes to work outside (coffee shop or anywhere else) I don't wanna carry the monitor with me

No. Physically impossible.
You have to think virtual desktop. Begin with System Preferences > Exposé & Spaces > Spaces. If that's not enough, try Hyperspaces or VirtualDesktop (I haven't tried either), or google for one.

How to reset display resolution on a MacBook Pro

Hi,
My MBP 15.4 /2.4GHz display is stuck at a low colour display and I am unable to get it back to normal. I was working in MS Remote Desktop Connection, switched into OS X's Universal Access in System Preferences and that's when the fun started.
I've tried resetting PRAM using CommandOption+PR, but to no avail. My display settings in System Preferences show what one would expect - 1440x900, millions of colours. Changing these and switching back does nothing.
The thing is, when I start up, the desktop shows the display as it should be for a split second before it garbles the display's colours. It looks like an old Win 3.x box with 16 colour settings.
Is there a config file I can delete to reset the display, or some other way round this? Any suggestions would be much appreciated...

Called Apple support, turned out to be a corrupt preference file; I renamed the preferences folder & rebooted & that resolved the issue. Now have to rebuild / copy back my old preferences...

How to increase screen resolution in Vista under boot camp?

I have installed Vista Home Premium under boot camp (OS X 10.5.7) but in preferences I can only get the maximum of 1280x960 while my screen resolution on SyncMaster P2250 in OS X is 1920x1080.
(I am using new Mac mini with NVIDIA GeForce 9400).
I have inserted Leopard disc in Vista and installed boot camp but still I can't make the resolution higher.

OK everything works fine! The problem was that after installation of Vista I was inserting old Leopard disc that I bought a year ago instead of inserting the Mac OS X installation disc that I got with new Mac mnini.
When I put the Mac OS X that was toghether with new Mac mini it installed missing driver and everything started working

How to increase scan resolution above 300 dpi on Officejet Pro 8620 e-AIO?

Hi everyone, I wonder if anybody can help me with this, as I haven't found any info in the product support options ...
I've just checked the technical specs for my relatively new printer (bought about 3 weeks ago), and on HP's product page, it says that the scan resolution of said model should be up to a max. of 1200x1200 dpi.
However, in the scan window, there's no selection above 300 dpi possible anywhere. I've tried all kinds of different scenarios, eg. scan colour photo to jpeg/pdf, colour doc to jpeg/pdf, but in any of the selected options, the highest I can go is 300 dpi. File size is not an issue, this is about quality of the scanned document, and at the moment, I'm not happy with the results I'm getting at 300 dpi. I've played with additional options, such as Brightness/Contrast, but that's not giving me the desired results either. And besides, it's about prinicple - if it states a higher resolution, where is it?
I'm attaching a screenshot, if that's of any help. Shouldn't I see more dpi options in the drop-down menu, ie. 600 dpi, 1200 dpi?
I'll be really grateful for any insight you might have on this issue! Many thanks in advance.

How do I increase photo resolution?

Hi there, I have iphoto 6 and have imported all of my digital photos onto this. I like to use websites like photobox for printing photos but whenever I try to do this it says that the resolution of the photos imported from iphoto is too small.
Please can someone let me know how to increase the resolution? I am incredibly untechnical and just want to be able to print off photos that are of a decent quality!

The information box says 2304 x 3072
THose are nice 7 meg photos so unless you are accessing the incorrectly or trying to print very large photos you are fine
To upload the photos you should select the photos you want in iPhoto, export them to a desktop folder as actual size JPEGs, upload them and then delete the folder from your desktop - If you are pulling them directly from your iPhoto library you are in danger of corrupting your library and you can easily get the wrong size photo

How to change external display resolution WITHOUT clicking "CONFIRM"?

I have a somewhat unusual situation. My MacBook laptop is actually now a ModBook (a pen-tablet computer), and as such I no longer have a trackpad attached to it. All of my inputs are via the stylus, tapping directly on the built-in display.
This works perfectly fine, except when I need to give presentations on an LCD projector (which is quite often lately). I like to use the projector as an external monitor, so that I can run the Keynote presentation on it while using my laptop screen as the presenter's display, with the upcoming slide, etc. If the projector doesn't give me an ideal native display option (sometimes, the aspect ratio for the 3 or 4 resolutions available in the Displays drop-down in the menubar turn out to be stretched or squeezed), then I, naturally, have to open the Display System Preferences and try out different resolutions.
The problem is, since my stylus only interacts by clicking directly on the built-in-display, I have no way of moving the cursor over to the external display when the dialog box with the "Click here to confirm change/You have 15 seconds..." message appears. So I can never click it ... so I can never confirm the new settings.
The workarounds I've used so far are:
- Mirror displays (not ideal, as I need the presenter preview of the next slide)
- borrow a mouse from someone (usually from a Windows desktop, frankly) and plug that in to briefly mouse over and click the confirm button
I'd love to find a software workaround that allows me to NOT mirror displays and also doesn't require me to carry around a mouse all the time (my laptop bag is already overstuffed...).

I think the standard template in 2004s is named 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN. You can find it in Web Application Designer, open, and search for the technical name. If you want to change the number of rows or columns, you can find this setting near the bottom of the XHTML view of the template:
<bi:BLOCK_COLUMNS_SIZE value="4" />
<bi:BLOCK_ROWS_SIZE value="17" />
Then just save, and ignore the error messages.

Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Displays. Depending on your version of Mac OS X, it may be set for "Best for Display" in which case it should already be set at the optimum for your monitor, or it may display resolution options in which case you should set it for the native resolution of your display.
