Right click to Essbase cluster node->Edit->Properties->Security Tab->Auto Log off node->Inactive limits.

You supposedly feed it a (undocumented) parameter, -rxidletimeout, with the time in seconds, at startup.
app.serverSettings.sessionTimeout will report back whatever value you fed it. However, in my experience so far, the timeout is somewhere around 30 seconds no matter what value you feed it. I might be doing something wrong.
I currently have a ticket open with Adobe support about this very issue, but it's slow going. I'll try to update you with whatever I find out.
I'd love to hear whether anyone else has this working.

i too got the same problem. At present i fsession expires i'm farwarding it to Some general login page. But we've diffenternt employers with differnet login pages. How can i farward to login page wich the use entered in previously
For this i got one solution buti don't how to implement it.
After login page i'll send one value as parameter to Servelt controller.This value ,i append as query string to all requests which are going through the Servelt. And i'll retrive this value from the URL referal. whenever session expires i'm farwarding to some Session Expired JSP . There i want to check this varibale's and depanding on that i'l farward to particular login page.
This is in my mind . Can any help me how to Implement this.

How to change ADF default session time out behavior to count down

the ADF default session time out will show a message before some time set in the web.xml , after this time anther alert will show the time out message.
But our recruitment what use one message dialog first show the session will be out then count down the time at last show the session time out message.
Dose ADF provide interface to change this ?

If using pure JS and Html I can write thousand way to implement session time out function , but we use ADF :
ADF limit user to do a lot of thing but only use itself way , it is very hard to change its component's behavior and also hard to get doc introducing how to change its behavior though it can be change.
So what I want to know if there any interface ADF left to change itself session time out behavior , I think your answer is no.

How to set per user session time out.

Hi folks,
I am trying to set longer session time out to selective users with the following line, but it turns out setting this time out for the whole app. Is there a way to change the session time out per user only?

Well, there's the rub. If you want more control over session handling, you have to take the good with the bad. My suggestion is to use a good open source caching solution and let the cache evict entries for you. You should be able to specify both an interval over which data goes stale and/or the maximum size you want the cache to reach. Really, a session is just a specialized form of caching anyway.

We have been using replicated-if-clustered property of session-descriptor element of weblogic.xml and things were smooth and fine until our application didnt grow. Now there is a heavy traffic on the application and we want to increase the session replication thread count to more then 2 servers. Does anyone have any idea how to go about it? I dont see a way of defining how many servers the session should be replicated. Right now it does on the 2 servers which forms the cluster. Is there really any difference between replicated and replicated-if-clustered property?

Yogendra N Joshi.To start with persistent store/session replication options:
•memory—Disables persistent session storage.
•replicated—Same as memory, but session data is replicated across the clustered servers.(No Persistent store)
•replicated_if_clustered—If the Web application is deployed on a clustered server, the in-effect persistent-store-type will be replicated. Otherwise, memory is the default.

Regarding increasing traffic on the servers:
If there is heavy traffic on the servers and both servers in a cluster are utilized fully, you can add more managed servers to the cluster and load balance the requests amongst them equally.
The sessions will be replicated across all the servers in a cluster as you have session replication enabled already.
But for increasing load/traffic we will have to analyze the capacity of the present setup and then add more servers to the cluster as required.

rdisp/max_wprun_time                        600
If its a portal or something else it might differ, above parameter is for a regular work process in a SAP Netweaver installation.
This can be set in the startup profile of your system using transaction RZ10.
*Indeed dynamic parameters do not require stop/start

Session time out and automatic log off

hi,
I have been using JSC for a while but I am not JSC guru.
I want to implement automatic logoff when the session timesout. I know that I can set session time out in tomat web.xml file. but I cant understand how to check if the session time is out and logOff the user.
When user logs in, username is stored in the database, so when the user logoff the username has to be deleted from the database and he should be redirected to the login page. I want all this to be done automatically when session times out(i.e if the user is inactive for specified amount of time).
Any help is greatly appreciated. Please reply ASAP, i need to get this working by tommorow.

Though the user logged in from any other ip address. It shows the same for all

Stuck Thread Max Time and Stuck Thread Timer Interval (give your required time)
This will definitely increase the Stuck Thread time interval.

by using work manager also you can define Stuck Thread Max Time interval by editing deployment descriptor file

How can I get the elapse time for execution of a Query for a session?
Example - I have a report based on the procedure ,when the user execute that it takes say 3 min. to return rows.
Is there any possible way to capture this session info. for this particular execution of query along with it's execution elapse time?

You can use the dbms_utility.get_time tool (gives binary_integer type value).
1/ Initialize you time and date of beginning :
v_beginTime := dbms_utility.get_time ;
2/ Run you procedure...
3/ Get end-time with :
v_endTime := dbms_utility.get_time ;
4/ Thus, calculate elapsed time by difference :
v_elapsTime := v_endTime - v_beginTime ;
This will give you time elapsed in of 100th of seconds...
Then you can format you result to give correct print time.

How to increase built-in cisco vpn peer response timer?

I use OS x in-built cisco vpn client to connect to work VPN.
The VPN server, or perhaps the radius server, takes a long time to return a response. OS X always try for 10 seconds, then drop the conneciton when no response from the remote peer. When I use cisco vpn client on a windows machine, the vpn client has a setting to allow for 90 seconds remote peer response time. It works fine using cisco vpn client.
I prefer to use os x as my primary working environment, so I need to fix this problme. My question is how to increase the phase 1 & 2 timer for vpn under 10.6.7. I have tried to change racoon.conf phase 1 & phase 2 timer, but it made no difference. OS X only try for 10 seconds.
Any ideas? (besides asking work people to fix the server or radius problem)
