How to increase the input filed length in a sap standard transaction

Hi All,
Below is my user's requirement.
Tcode->FS00-->f4 help for GL account number --> in this pop-up go to the tab G/L Account description in company code
Here the input field G/L Long text allows 25 chars as input where as user want it to increase till 50 chars.
Actually this input field G/L Long text is refering the sap standard database view GL_ACCT_CC_TEXT (Field: MCODF of length 25)
Is it possible to increase to search to 50 chars, if so how to do the same.

As per my requirement user enable the DFF Fields in perticuler pages in sshr module like PMS So ...i create the attribute columns and viewinstance through personlization create the column and i give the hight and lenght in column cration time i create the id like "XXApr" same id name i gave in DFF Field Names.....so i did like ....this is my approch.....

I built a copa report with material and customer as characteristics for a drill down report. Unfortunately, the total description of the material is not showing up in the report. Is there any way that we can increase the description field length, so that the users can see the whole description of the material.

Hi,
You can make a Z copy of the report you are asking for.
In this Z copy, you can ask your ABAPer to increase the length of the Material Decsription Field,i.e., to change only one field and keep the rest as it is.

i have scenario where we are having the scenario like dat ..
container id with 10 chars previousl y in sap system
currently from sap they have changed the length to 20 char in sap tablle.
from web dynpro java we have set length 20 char .
scenario: user can enter text from web dynpro view (portal form ) when click on ok it will save in sap table.
example
we are entering text testbyvenkatreddy
click on save
testbyvenk
now i need to display the full 20 char length
can inputs ?

actually the user can enter the value from portal ie thru web dynpro form
example :
'testbyvenkatreddy'
when user clicks on save .
it will call bapi and update the database the same value will be updated in portal ..
but it is taking only 10 char when we put an external breakpoint in BAPI we observed the input to the bapi is going only 10 char even we have more than 10 char .
From SAP system side they have changed only char length 10 to 20 thts it ...
they didn't changed the filed name or structure only they changed in dataelement ..
is we need reimport the bapi agian or reboot the server ?
wht we need to do exactly we are on support project having lots of bapis in single application ...

How to increase the check number length from 13 to 15( PAYR-CHECT)

I have the requirement to increase the check number (chekt) length from 13 to 15. Bcz few vendors UTR number generating with 15 degits in the the bank which are updating as check number in our system. But payr-chect (check number field ) length is 13 , so it is not getting updated. so customer wants to increase the length from 13 to 15.

How to increase the input gain within the program not just with hardware?

Im guessing its probably the simplest thing Ive just overlooked,but can you increase the gain within the program its self. Ive just been doing it with my interface and I cant always get the amount I want.Any help would be great.Thanks

As I understand, you'd like to record things louder than they appear on your audio interface input, don't you? This is not possible at all. But you can make it louder after recording and this can be done in several ways:
1. Move the fader up (you can add 6db this way)
2. Add the helper plugin Gain - this way you can add additional dbs
3. Add any EQ plugin, they always have a gain fader but remember, EQs usually add some colour to the sound even if no other parameters are altered.
The above were the ways to increase the voulme without altering the soundfile itself, the following alter the soundfile:
4. doubleclick the file and it will appear in the sample editor. Now you can use 'normalize' to max the volume, you can use 'audio energizer' to make it louder but also to change the character.

EDIT
If your audio interface has its own mixer which comes BEFORE the signal gets into your sequencer then you can increase the volume there. But I guess this is not your case.

Which field are you thinking of in particular? Are you wanting to increase or decrease the length?
Some fields are used so extensively that a change to their length will mean adjusting many tables, some of them potentially very large, and hence taking a long time to adjust.
Some standard SAP programs expect certain fields to be of specific lengths and won't work if the length is changed.
Some screens could cease to work.
If you decrease length, then you could lose data.

It appears that there is some configuration you can do for BOM Message types to change the message type. The IMG link for this function is:
Production->Basic Data->Bill of Material->General Data->Change Message Type
However you need to read the IMG documentation to see if this will work for you. There are only certain messages that can be changed with this configuration step.

I am sending a mail to my vendor as attachement .
I have developed one report which caontain 90 coulums now i am taking my final
internal table and sending it as a Mail but not able to send whole as an attachement Bcoz tht 90 columns
length is more than 255 characters which my OBJBIN not allowed to send so its automatically get truncated ..
How to solve this problem . Please help or sample code for this issue .

How to Increase the Length of Condition table in OV20

While creating a condition table in T.code OV20 if fields length is more that 50 bytes table is not getting generated.it gives error as Too Many Fields Selected(More than 50 Bytes).
Actually i need to create a tabel with Basic Material(WRKST) which has length of 48 bytes.
Is there a solution on how to increase the length so that error is avoided.

In this fld1 to fld135 are defined in internal table.
But if the number of fields are more than 135 then the program is going to short dump.
Some times fld1 to fid170 or more fields will be there in my internal table.
Please suggest me how to make my requirement dynamic and display this data fetched into this internal table onto a .XLS file in the presentation server ?

Hi,
i use a abap webser where i've uploaded some JAR files into the mime repository.
Unfortunately the string length is limited by 40 characters and so longer file names are cut.
How can I increase the default string length? Does somebody know a workaround?

what i guess copying those jars should not create this problem.U just try in db using
"ALTER TABLE <table_name> MODIFY <column_name> VARCHAR2(<new, larger length>)"
may be it works.

Split your text into different lines to fit it.
Create a text element for your text and write it as comments.
