How to insert a 1d array line into a 2 d array?

I have a vi that acquire the signals of several pulse encoder and store it into a 1d array, and I want to move these data to a 2d array and fill it. I mean I want to acquire signal and store at line 1 of the 2d array, then acquire again and store at line 2 of the 2d array and keep going like this successively.
how can I do that?

You need to be careful with the terminology, because there are two very different scenarios:
You have an existing 2D array and you want to insert a column(or row), thus growing one of the dimensions by one and moving everything to the right (or bottom) over one slot. (similar to "insert column" in excel)
You have an existing 2D array (possibly all zeroes at the beginning) and you want to replace an existing column with new data. (many newbies call that "insert" too, even though it is not)
If you know the final size of the 2D array, option 2 will be orders of magnitude more efficient, because it avoids constant memory allocations. Every time (almost) you grow an array, it needs to be recreated at a new memory location because arrays need to be contiguous in memory.

In your view layout you take table UI element and then you bind it with some context nodes.
The attributes of your nodes comes as a field.
Now in these fields you can set various properties and image is one of them.
Go to ->
1. View Layout -> Right Click on ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER -> INSERT ELEMENT -> TABLE
2. Right click on table -> Create Binding.
Here you have to bind it with the appropriate context node.
You will get two properties here
a- Standard Cell Editor :- ( make it image )
b- Standard properties :- ( If required set image properties ).
3. If you want put image from out side then import it as a mime object and set the source of your table field ( used as a image )

I have made the changes to the web gallery index page (from Bridge) as indicated in http://foundationphp.com/tutorials/gallery/embed3.php in DW. However, I normally do not use DW, but need to now. I have the new web page where I want the gallery to appear, but am currently stuck. I need a very clear, basic step by step instruction as to how to insert the gallery/index page. How to insert a very long string into a column of datatype 'LONG'

Can anyone please tell me how can I insert a very long string into a column of datatype 'LONG'?
I get the error, ORA-01704: string literal too long when I try to insert the value into the table.
Since it is an old database, I cannot change the datatype of the column. And I see that the this column already contains strings which are very long.
I know this can be done using bind variables but dont know how to use it in a simple query.
Also is there any other way to do it?

If I were in your shoes, here is what I'd try. Place the
content from Articulate in a specific folder. Then publish your
Captivate to the same folder to ensure all files are there
together. Then test. Obviously, this may work or it may fail. And
just as obviously, if it works, you're done!
If it fails, I think I'd try publishing my Captivate using
different settings. Try publishing for different Flash versions.
You might find that if you target Flash 6 it fails, but 7 or 8 may
work.
If the Flash version bit fails, are there some settings in
Articulate that allow you to reduce the number of files that are
required? For example, I know that when Captivate 2 came out, many
folks had to scramble (and some still do) over the fact that it
produced multiple output files. Some LMS' didn't like the fact
there were typically two .SWF files to distribute. We then learned
we could eliminate one of the .SWF files by turning off the
borders. So I'm wondering if perhaps Articulate may have similar
output options you could use.

If your NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET is set as AL16UTF16, then you can create a table with datatype NCHAR or NVARCHAR in the same instance and will be able to store foreign characters provided your client termional is configured to enter chinese characters.

How to insert 4K of XML data into XMLType column?

I use OCCI and our Oracle version is 9.2.0.1.0. I have successfully been able to insert xml data (any size) into a clob column using "insert into...values(.., empty_clob()) returning c1 into :3"; and then using Statement::GetClob() to acquire a reference to the internal clob and populate it. I cannot seem to be able to do the same when the column type is of XMLType.
I could not find a single sample code which demonstrates inserting into a table with a XMLType column. Using SetDataBuffer(OCCI_SQLT_STR) with data over 4000 bytes does not work.
I'd greatly appreciate any feedback.

Pretty sure this was a bug in the base 9.2 release which was fixed in a patch drop. Try 9.2.0.6 or later.

How do I turn a dashed line into separate paths?.

I have made a dashed line by turning the path into a dashed line using the stroke panel. I now want to separate the dashed line into separate paths. But when I expand the line it asks to expand the fill and stroke. I don't want an outline and fill, I just want paths. Can anyone throw some light on this please.

The length of Order notes and shipping notes can vary.
I am using wrapping. But I need to insert a line feed just before Shipping Notes so it comes on a different line inside the textedit box.

What I'm trying to do is to allow users to fill out all the certificate data and upload a file in an APEX form. Once submitted the file should be uploaded in the USER_FILES table and all the fields along with CERT_ID, which is the foreign key pointing to the file in the USER_FILES table to be populated to the CERTIFICATES table. APEX wizard forms are based on one table and I'm unable to build form on both tables.
That's why I've created a view (V_CERT_FILES) on both tables and using INSTEAD OF trigger to insert/update both tables. I've done this before and updating this kind of views works perfect. Here is where the problem comes, if I'm updating the view all the data is updated correctly, but if I'm inserting into the view all the fields are populated at CERTIFICATES table, but for USER_FILES only the fields FILE_ID and LAST_UPDATE_DATE are populated. The rest three regarding the LOB are missing: BLOB_CONTENT, FILENAME, MIMETYPE. There are no errors when running this from APEX, but If I try to insert into the view from SQLDeveloper, I got this error:
ORA-22816: unsupported feature with RETURNING clause
ORA-06512: at line 1
As far as I know RETURNING clause in not supported in INSTEAD of triggers, although I didn't have any RETURNING clauses in my trigger (body is below).
Now the interesting stuff, after long tracing I found why this is happening:
First, insert is executed and the BLOB along with all its properties are uploaded to wwv_flow_file_objects$.
Then the following insert is executed to populate all the fields except the BLOB and it's properties, rowid is RETURNED, but as we know RETURNING clause is not supported in INSTEAD OF triggers, that's why I got error:

Next my trigger gets in action, sequences are generated, CERTIFICATES table is populated and then USER_FILES, but only the FILE_ID and LAST_UPDATE_DATE.
Finally update is fired against my view (V_CERT_FILES), reading data from wwv_flow_files it populates BLOB_CONTENT, MIMETYPE and FILENAME fields at the specific rowid in V_CERT_FILES, the one returned from the insert at the beginning. Last, file is deleted from wwv_flow_files.
I'm using sequences for the primary keys, this is only the body of the INSTEAD OF trigger:

I'm surprised that I wasn't able to find a valuable source of information regarding this problem, only MOS note about running SQLoader against view with CLOB column and INSTEAD OF trigger. The solution would be to ran it against base table, MOS ID 795956.1.
Maybe I'm missing something and that's why I decided to share my problem here. So my question is how do you create this kind of architecture, insert into two tables with a relation between them in APEX ? I read a lot in the Internet, some advices were for creating custom form with APEX API, create a custom ARP, create two ARP or create a PL/SQL procedure for handing the DML?

How to insert a new step type into a submenu?

I'm inserting a step type into the MyTypes.ini file with c++.
With the code below I managed to put it into a menu (in the step type menu editor it is called "Group").
But I want a sub menu.
How can I put it into a sub menu (in c++)?

There is no API method to edit those groups. I can only suggest to use the Step Type Menu Editor to create the group you want and make it a submenu. Then when you call stepObj->PutMenuGroupName("SubMenuGroup") the step type will be in that submenu.

I'm transferring an MS Access column contains characters such like \' and \" to an Oracle table.
The following statement can work PROPERLY while rsSrc.getString(1) does NOT contain \' and \".
But when \' or \" occurs in rsSrc.getString(1), a SQLException was caught as "ORA-00917: missing comma".

Original statement is right...

Your statement will not work properly when rsSrc.getString(1) contains " or '.
sqlCommand="insert into myTable values ('"+rsSrc.getString(1)+"')";
The best solution should be preparedStatement. Please see another topic with the same topic name.
