How to insert automatic, serial numbering in Illustrator CS, v. 11

I am trying to create a series of raffle tickets and would like to have each ticket identified with a unique number, generated in order--so that the first ticket reads "number 1", the second ticket reads "number 2", etc. I know how to do this sort of thing in word-processing programs, but I can't find instructions on how to do this in Illustrator. I am working on Windows XP and am using Illustrator CS, version 11. I would be grateful for some guidance. Thanks.

describes an AI Javascript I hacked out for a similar purpose. Take a look at the scripts named JET_SerialNumbers.jsx and JET_NumberedCallouts.jsx.
Alternatively, since you know how to do it a word processor, etc., you can also do it using FillDown in Excel, copy and paste into Illustrator:
1. Open a new Excel file.
2. In the first cell, type "Number 1".
3. In the next cell below, type "Number 2".
4. Select both cells. Drag the Fill Down handle downward as many rows as you want.
5. Select the column. Copy.
6. Switch to Illustrator. Paste. Ungroup.

How to get the serial Numbers issued for an STO

I created my own STO and mapped a serialised material for the same using transaction. I increased the stock by issuing serial numbers. The /SYCLO/MM_DOPURCHASEORDER_GET BAPI returns the PO header, item and longtext details. I want the serial numbers which are issued to the STO and the list of serial numbers for which the receipts has been done.
I want to know how to get the serial numbers which are issued to the STO throught the standard function module. I want only the issued serial numbers not the one for which the receipts has been done.
I tried using the standard BAPI, "BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL1" to get the serial number collection. But the FM is not returning the issued serial number as well as the list of serial numbers for which the receipts has been done. It is returning only the PO history in which the list of document number are present.

Hi,
Using the transaction "MB1C" and movement type "561", I filled the required details such as Material Number, Quantity, Storage Location and Batch. After filling all these details, when I press enter, it will ask for me to enter the serial numbers equal to the quantity specified. I entered the serial numbers by selecting the available serial numbers for that particular material by pressing F4 help.
Please let me know if you need any more inputs in this regards.

Sorry to say you are out of luck.
The serial numbers came on the cd case. If they are no longer there, you have no way of using the program except as a 30 day trial. Adobe does not sell CS5 licenses any more.

How to generate sepecific serial numbers?

We want to generate specific serial number for item from paraemters, don't want to use the prefix or start number of item attribute.
Serial Number should generated not associated with transactions. And Item attribute defined as "PRE-DEFINDED"
And we do not want to insert basis table MTL_SERIAL_NUMBERS.
We need API or Interface to do this.

Go to HRMS resp..create employment...then go to sysadmin user form and query the user for which u want to associate..
then in the person field map the user which u created employment

Hi,
If you dont want to use the serial number at all, you can always go the particular item and chane the "Manage Item By" to None provided you don't have any instock for that item If you have some stock, you have to make the in stock zero and then change this setting.
Else, you can use, On release only setting rather than On every transaction. Hope this helps.

Automatic Serial numbers

We serialize our laptops. When ever we place an order for laptops vendor supplies laptops those are serialized in an order, and mentions first and last serial number. At the time of GR Store Clerk wants to enter First serial number in that lot and wants system to generate rest. How can I handle this. Is there any configuration behind this. Please answer as soon as you can.
Ex: PO for 10 laptops
Vendor supplies 10 laptops with serial numbers 12380 to 12389, Store clerk wants to enter just first serial number i.e. 12380 system should gernerate rest. This process should happen for all the subsequent PO's as well. For the next order vendor sends 12760 to 12769, Store Clerk wants to enter just 12760, system should generate rest.

Yes I can find out drive model and (sometimes) firmware level hovering over drive position on storage status.
But I have found no way to determine invidual serial number.
(BTW same is with unit SN)
( Would you do the same with a faulty PC to ask for the serial number of a faulty VGA card?)
Background: having an open service call with confirmed drive replacement necessary. NAS is still active 24x7 in a business production environment with remote access from business partners internationally.
Lenovo will only pre-ship replacement drive and complete RMA-procedure if I can give SN of faulty drive. Finding out would need to assign service time with the customer ( outside office hours) and extra 20 kms travel plus the risk ( as usual) that drive will not return into operating state after powering off (have seen that too many times).
ADD: Pls. correct RMA procedure, SN of unit should be enough and is registered with Lenovo for warranty purposes anyway.
Various PCs / Laptops ( sorry I still really love Dell and Fujitsu ;-))

Now I need the serial number fron primary and secondary pix firewalls
I can do a # sh version on each pix and notice the serial number to bring it manually to a RME UDF
Any way to sent the show version to a tftp server ?
Any way to read via snmp the serial number from the pix ?

I'm not exactly Probably the easiest way to accomplish this would be to use a serial naming scheme where these two tests would have a similar names, for example, the two tests' serials could be 000001-A and 000001-B. Another option would be to include both sets of tests within the same test, considering both boards as a single unit under test. Please provide a bit more detail, and we can look into other options.

How to insert automatic Date/Time Stamp on filename?!

I have a simple chart that I fill out for work hours and whatnot every day with the Numbers program.
I would love to have the date inserted into the filename automatically so that I don't have to manually enter it every day when I save.
Is this possible?

You may navigate to Projects Implementation Options, and go to the tab - Internal Billing.
There you may find the field - Invoice Numbering. You can select Automatic or Manual.
Per your requirement enter - Automatic, and go on entering the starting number to use for internal invoices.
