How to insert live type?

when I select live type, how do i put in the type?
is there suppose to be a box where you can type?

OK, this might be slightly different as I'm in Motion 3
You can do this a few ways
1) Click on the LiveFonts icon in the library and start typing on the canvas -you might need to hiot play to see anything as it will be at the top of the animation
2) With text already on the canvas, click the font type to LiveFonts in the Format section of the Text tab in the inspector

There is a LiveType (or LiveFonts) content section in the Library in Motion 4 (but NOT Motion 5 - LiveType is obsolete, much to my chagrin...) - but you can still import LiveType projects into Motion 4 just as you could in Motion 3 - a simple drag'n'drop from the finder will do; or use Import from the file menu.

I was just refreshing myself by one of the FCP dvds from magent media where Even Schechtman show his window of External Editors in System Settings.
I have the latest FCP version but that line which reads "Live Type" in external editor window is missing. Though he didnt discuss anything on the dvd but made me curious of my observation.
How Can I add Live Type message box which can be checked in External editor Window?

This is something specific to FCP4.x ... it does not appear in FCP5.x
Final Cut Pro HD: LiveType does not appear in the External Editors tab
Under some circumstances, the External Editors tab (choose Final Cut Pro HD > System Settings) in Final Cut Pro HD does not display a setting for "LiveType Movie Files."
This can happen if you installed Final Cut Pro HD from a new Final Cut Pro HD disc, as opposed to installing it from an upgrade. If you upgraded from Final Cut Pro 4 to Final Cut Pro HD, you will not have this issue. If you upgraded from an earlier version of Final Cut Pro using an upgrade disc, you will not have this issue.
You can still add LiveType files to the timeline even if LiveType does not appear in the External Editors tab. The behavior may be slightly different, depending on whether you add a LiveType project file or a LiveType movie file to the Timeline.
If you add a LiveType project file (for example, MyProject.ipr) to the Timeline and then choose to open it in an External Editor, the file will open automatically in LiveType as a LiveType project.
If you add a rendered LiveType movie file to the Timeline and then choose to open it in an External Editor, the file will open in the Editor you've selected for Video Files (in the External Editors tab) or in QuickTime Player if none is selected.
In summary, "LiveType Movie Files," only appears if you upgrade to Final Cut Pro HD from an earlier version of Final Cut Pro 4. It is not required in the External Editors beacuse a LiveType project file will automatically open in the LiveType application and a movie rendered from LiveType will automatically open in QT Player.

What I want to know is
1) why are you trying to convert an int[] to a String[]
2) are you trying to convert from a int[] to String[] or from an int[] to a String (i.e. treating the ints as chars or even simply concatenating there String values to a single String) and , once again why
There is probably a better way to accomplish your goals, but without cleary stating your goals we cannot help you. And as far as there being multiple int values, so what, the code snippet I posted would work for a hundred int values, you would just need to make the String[] long enough and loop through the values, you can't just simply do it all at once (unless of course, they are to be treated as char values, in which case you can probably cast your int[] to a char[] and use new String).

How To Install Live Type In 10.8.3

Hi My self Varun, My English is not Good.
I am using 10.8.3
and i have Final Cut Studio 2.0 (48.52 GB)
1st i installed rosetta from my 10.6 installer
In 10.6 DVD there is a folder name Optional Installs.mpkg, run it and install rosetta, bcoz FCS 2 works with power pc and rosetta is a part of Power pc.
install rosetta.
Then Run FCS 2
first this window will open
Press OK
then this window is open
and finaly this window will appear
If u need only Live Type so uncheck the otheres, then install it.
After installing Live Type there is no live font in it, So you have to Run the other components of Live Type from FCS 2 folder
and Enjoy!

The above document includes information that you can add four types of markers by using the Audio Editor in Presenter and one of the marker types is mouse-click animation. Your delta setup for the related master and transaction data needs to be reinit.
What happens is when you init. the delta and subsequent delta is all maintained in your source system

I don't have time to read thru all your code, but I hope this information will help you.
It depends on how the Oracle database was set up. Usually, the date format is something like this: '27-MAY-2003 22:10:00'. A quick check will be to run this SQL script in SQLPlus:
select sysdate from dual;
You have to convert the date from textbox or whatever to this exact Oracle format. Otherwise, Oracle will not accept it. It is very picky on that. I found the best way is to do the conversion inside the SQL statement. It makes life so much easier.

Welcome to the forum.
But it causes problem for insert the data in database table for some special character senario.Looks to me that the '#' in your table name is giving you trouble:
SQL> CREATE TABLE #test(test_col VARCHAR(20));
CREATE TABLE #test(test_col VARCHAR(20))
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00911: invalid character
SQL> --adjusted testcase, put the # in the end:
SQL> CREATE TABLE test#(test_col VARCHAR(20));

"Quoted identifiers can be reserved words, although this is not recommended."
Rule 5:
" Nonquoted identifiers must begin with an alphabetic character from your database character set. Quoted identifiers can begin with any character."

How to install Live Type in FCPX ?

Hi there,
During my FCE4 days, LiveTpye comes pre-installed and I even purchased some of their Expansion Packs.
Now that I am usinf FCPX and suddenly I need some of the effects from LiveType, how do I use this LiveType in FCPX ?
Any ideas ?

I haven't tested it properly but it opens and the animated fonts appear to work so I would imagine everything else will.
It's only a tiny app even with the fonts etc. so it won't take 5 minutes to load . . . then you can find out for yourself.
iDVD also works pefectly in Mountain Lion and produces the best quality DVDs that I know, and to anyone about to tell me DVDSP is better, I can only say that my hi-def videos put onto standard DVD are better and more artifact free than anything I achieved in DVDSP in over 4 years of use and experimenting.

There are two table T1,T2
T1 has these fields code varchar,time varchar, date date
T2 has these fields intime date, outtime date intrin date ,introut date
I have tried to move time to intime Ie from T1 to T2
update T2 set intime= to_date((r1.bartime||r1.bardate,'dd-mom-yyyy hh24mi')) ..... like this but i got an error
list of values not allowed as argunment to this function or procedure

Imac won't let me install Final cut studio 2..it will let me install the upgrade, but it has no live type and i need it to work on my current projects. How do I get Live type back installed in iMac

I just purchased an iMac for home and went to install final cut studio 2 and it gave me an error saying something about "PowerPC" not used or something like that. Installed the studio upgrade just fine...but it has no "Live Type" which I need to work on projects I have been using in my Mac Pro at my work place. How do I get "Live Type" to install in this iMac? Downloaded Live Type upgrade but that won't update cause there's no "Live Type" in the applications.

It sounds like you have Lion installed on your new imac, although your profile says SL 10.6.8 (you may want to change this.)
If you have the Snow Leopard install disc I believe you can install "Rosetta" from the extras folder which will then, if you have the original FCS2 discs , allow you to select and install Live Type and LIve Type content only from the custom install options.

Live Type How do you get a transparent background?

Im trying to create just text for FCP using Live Type, but no matter what I do when I export the Live Type movie, Its exporting with a black background. I went into the settings and changed everything around and tried everything. Opacity levels, render background, etc.. I either get the color I choose or black when it should be transparent. I know there has to be a way to just creat text with no background. Much help needed!

When you render your movie, make sure you don't have the "render background" box checked.
Once your movie is rendered it is displayed with text over a black backgournd but rest assured when you put your rendered .mov text into Final Cut it will have an alpha channel and not a black background.
