Can you please advise how to insert multiple queries in the same workbook in BI 7.0 web analyser.

Hi,
You need to switch to design mode (BEx Analyser Menu - Design Toolbar - Design Mode). For each query that you want to embed, insert an analysis grid item in the workbook. Link each analysis grid to its corresponding data provider (query).

I am trying to insert two queries in a single workbook. The queries are of Accounts Receivable.I have inserted one query in a workbook , but am not able to proceed to inserting the second query. In BEx analyzer, in design mode , using analysis grid , i tried inserting the second query but when saving and running, i am getting message " Variables are present, change their values " . should i maintain same variables for two queries ? i am stuck up. please explain me as how can this be done.

Hi,
If you get the message "Variables are present, change their values" ,it means that the query which you inserted having variables.
You just click the "Change Variables" icon in the Analysis Toolbox,which will invoke the variable screen.
Set the values in the variable screen and click OK.
Now you will be able to see the data in the grids based on the values selected in the variable screen.
Both queries data will be displayed in the workbook.

Please tell me how to run two queries in the same preparedStatement object ?
In my module I have to run two queries and I don't want to make two methods for running two different queries.
I just want to call this method for both of my queries.

Can any one tell How to Add 3 queries in the same work book?
Example, daily report,Monhly and yearly reports for sales should be in the same workbook.
Please help me if any one have a pointer or a how to doc if available.

Hi James,
According to BI 7.0 Version
Steps of creating workbook and to insert more than one query in a workbook.
When you run a query and it opens in Bex Analyzer you can click the save button and pick "Save as Workbook".
Once you save it as a workbook Click on the "Design Mode" button in the Bex toolbar (looks like an A).
Click in the sheet where you want the new query to go, click the "Analysis Grid" button. It will add the analysis grid to your new sheet.
Right click on the Analysis grid and go to properties.
Click on button to change data provider and select the query you want to attach.
Exit design mode and you should be all set.

0PA_C01 different results from two queries on the same cube ....

Can you please help with this problems ...
i am running a two queries with the same restrictions e.g
Sep 08 for employee 22345 ,
In one report it shows the Pay Scale level as A1 , then in the other report it shows Pay scale Scale level as A2 ,
looking at the master data in 0employee , the first report is right ... this is how the data looks like in 0employee
Employee Valid from      To                Pay scale Level
222345       2007-11-03   2008-09-30     A1
222345       2008-10-01   9999-12-31     A2
Can someone please shed some light on this , im thinking it has something to do with update rule but even that is supposed to use last date of the month , not 1st day of the following month. The Cube is a stndard cube 0PA_C01 and the update rule aswell .....

Please check in the cube whether the data for the Employee is getting with two values like shown in your question:
Employee Valid from To Pay scale Level
222345 2007-11-03 2008-09-30 A1
222345 2008-10-01 9999-12-31 A2
and also check whether when the data loaded to the cube.
There may be some change in the report structure where the difference is getting may in the column wise or row wise restriction may present.
Please check on the structure of the report also.

I like to use multiple desktops and move back and forth between then using gestures. At the moment I have 5 open: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Photoshop CS 6 and a desktop. I use "gestures" to navigate between them:

and I use Mission Control (F3) to move the various desktops around in the order I want them.

So say I'm searching for a photo to open in CS 6, I find it on the open desktop then hit select "open" in CS 6 and go to that folder in the select pane.
Even right now I'm typing this in Safari and "gesturing" back to Chrome where I did the search about multi touch and mission control. I drag copy the URL there and gestured back here to paste the URL into this text.
If you did a lot of photo searches, I set professional clients of mine in Chicago up with dual monitors (In this case you'd have an external monitor on extended desktop.). So all you need to do is just glance over at the second monitor slide your cursor over there open stuff up find your photo and go back to Photoshop and open it up.

In the smartform the main windows is 20cm.I use the table output my data.Because the output is two item in same line,I define two rows in the table line type.
Question:
Should I define the table width 20cm?
In the main area of table , should I define two folders and each of folder include a line? The second item I had already defined as Append Directly,but the item 1 and item 2 don't in the same line.

I am now running an artists collective and will publish the collectives icalender on the web. I don't, however, want to mix what will be a pretty busy calender with my own already too full one. Collective Calendar
You can then switch which groups you wish to display by activating/deactivating the check mark in the Calendar source window.
That will also allow you to selectively publish the Collective Calendar.

Ok, so what I'm trying to do is basically play two videos, which are already saved on the computer, at the same time. I can get one video to play, but when i try to start another it just displays a blank screen.

HELLO AGAIN! I guess i post too soon....
So i modified my code and now the videos play together. Threads, sigh.
But the audio that comes with the video doesn't appear to be starting at the same time. And this problem I ASSURE you i have no clue how to handle. And yes i know, the two video audios will overlap, but this a test for heavens sake!

Its very much possible for 2 portals to make use of one datasource for UME.
Lets assume for a scenario sake we are using an LDAP server as the UME for portals environment...so you would simple need to point for the UME's to the LDAP datasource.

How to connect two iMacs to the same FCE project?

Hello All,
Right now I have an iMac that is about 1 year old. I'm about to purchase another iMac. What I want to do is run FCE on both and work on the same video project on both. Is this possible?
So the idea would be that I one person A could color correct and person B could edit and perform other functions on the second iMac. Can you hook them up by firewire and do this or is this beyond what you can do with FCE and two iMacs?

Hello Michael,
First, you will need two fully licensed copies of FCE, one for each iMac. Each license allows you to install FCE on 1 Apple desktop + 1 Apple laptop as long as you own both computers and do not use FCE on both at the same time. But it *does not* allow you to install it on 2 Apple desktop computers (eg iMacs).
Second, in order for two people on different computers to access the same project, you would have to store all the media & scratch files in a common location, and set up each copy of FCE to access the files from that location. The problems with this approach are 1) FCE cannot do this over a network, 2) you cannot connect an external FW drive to both computers at the same time, 3) FCE prefers that your FCE Project file(s) be on your system HD.
You could use an external FW drive to store your media & scratch files; then connect the FW drive to the computer that is going to work on the project - but not to 2 computers at the same time. You will still have to copy the FCE project file between the two iMacs each time you swap from one to the other for editing.

How to process two files at the same time using BPM

I have a Integration Process it takes two files one Header xml and one Lines xml. These files shoudl be processed at the same time because them will be mappend in a Idoc.
The realy trouble is that these inbound xmls never are executed at the same time. Then a IP is executed for each inbound xml.

Hi Jose,
Don't specify any end condition for fork step and check the start process check box in both the receive step.
Also put all steps inside the block.. so that the control step in deadline branch can throw exception and after that the BPM ends. As per the design now, if a deadline exception is raised (it will b handled) but after that the transformation step and send step is executed. There the BPM fails.
