How to install a 2nd 10.2.0.5 OMS without the 'upgrade database' step?

Fellow DBAs...
We have OEM environment which uses OMS version 10.2.0.5 - it's recently been upgrade from the 10.2.0.1 base release.
We are trying to install a 2nd OMS. In order to do this we install the base 10.2.0.1 release, and then apply the 10.2.0.5 patch - however, during the patch install the installer tries to 'upgrade' the database again - this causes the install to hang, and eventually we have to crash out of the install.
Does anyone know how to get round this? Is there a flag to skip this step? I thought it would be something like "softwareonly", but I can't find anything that works...

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

FYI: POP will by default, delete messages from the server after downloading them (This applies to most pop clients, computer or mobile). POP is old tech and is not recommended if IMAP or Exchange are available. The default when setting up a g-mail type account is IMAP. Full synchronization with the server. You may also be able to set it up as an Exchange account, allowing for push e-mail and sync of calendars and contacts as well. See the Gmail help pages for instructions.

Currently, i am trying to install patches for portal server.
The server OS is Sun Solaris 8.
We are using Oracle9iAS.
Now, we are installing 9.0.1.4.0 patch set for the Oracle Database Server.
We managed to install the patch, but have problem with the Post Install Action.
We managed to run
-ALTER SYSTEM ENABLE RESTRICTED SESSION;
-@rdbms/admin/catpatch.sql
-ALTER SYSTEM DISABLE RESTRICTED SESSION;
-CONNECT / AS SYSDBA
-update obj$ set status=5 where type#=29 and owner#!=0;
-commit;
But, when we come to the next command, which is to shutdown, it gives us like
this..
SQL> update obj$ set status=5 where type#=29 and owner#!=0;
1402 rows updated.
SQL> commit;
Commit complete.
SQL> shutdown immediate
Database closed.
Database dismounted.
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01219: database not open: queries allowed on fixed tables/views only
We tried to startup the database..it gives us this error..
SQL> startup
ORA-01081: cannot start already-running ORACLE - shut it down first
So, we tried to shutdown again..
SQL> shutdown immediate
ORA-01089: immediate shutdown in progress - no operations are permitted
I been informed that this is maybe a Database problem related. Any ideas?

SP1 to R2 Upgrade - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the operational database

Hello,
Am trying to upgrade a SCOM SP1 environment to SCOM R2( 3 MGT servers, 1 GW and 2 Web console boxes )
The prerequisites are failing and it is stating the following ;
Operational Database SQL Version Check - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the operational database
Data Warehouse SQL Version Check - The installed Version of SQL Server is not supported for the data warehouse
The SQL servers are running SQL 2012 SP1 64 Enterprise, which is compatible.
All other pre-upgrade tasks have been done.
Help appreciated!

I'm having the exact same issue, I believe. I think that Tubble has problem with SCOM 2012. Not 2007.
I've checked the compatibility list for both SCOM 2012 SP1 and R2. All newer Windows Server and SQL versions are supported. We're running the SQL 2012 SP1 x64 Standard edition on a Windows Server 2012 Standard.
I even tried to move the database from SQL 2012 to an older SQL 2008 R2, but that's not supported either. Only upgrading. Not downgrading.
So, I started checking the opsMgrSetupWizard.log file for clues. And the error message was there as well. But the reason why it says not supported is that it can't get the info about the OS version, so I guess it assumes the OS version is to low. The RPC
service can not be reached.

So, in our case this was just a FW that was blocking some high ports between management server and SQL. I believe TCP port 135 also needs to be open.

You will (often) see a preview of the attachment, depending upon the file type. To get rid of the preview: control click on the attachment select "View as icon".
(What the recipient of your message sees is dictated by that person's email application. If you want to make sure the person gets an attachement which is not previewed, you can zip it (control-click, "Compress...") and then attach the zipped file(s). A "factory reset" means you erase the drive securely. All of your files will be removed permanently. I suggest you make a backup:
Clone using Restore Option of Disk Utility
1. Open Disk Utility in the Utilities folder.
2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag
it to the Destination entry field.
5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
the Source entry field.
6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.

I have a B&W G3 Powermac...It currently has a 20gb SCSI with about 11gb free...I mainly use this older G3 for just messin around on the net, but a buddy of mine gave me an old Seagate Cheetah 9.1gb SCSI, and i would like to install it as a 2nd HD, but i have no idea what I am doing...I am not new to Macs, but this will be my first HD project...Any info is greatly appreciated!!! Also I curently am running 10.4.8 w/ 320mb of RAM...Thx...

Exactly what model is it, how tall is it {1 inch, 1.5 inch, 3 inch} and how many pins on the data connector {50, 68, 80}?
You will need a SCSI PCI card, such as the ATTO UL2D or ATTO UL3D that shipped in those Macs and later. If you get one of those, there are firmware updates that it may need to get it to work under Mac OS X.
IDE drives (which this is not) use address 0 and 1. SCSI drives use 0 through 6, the controller gets 7, and some controllers and drives can support addresses through 15. This makes the Addressing a little more complex, but there are tables that show how to set it if you don't do binary. The downside of being able to connect an arbitrary number of drives is that the end of the cable MUST be terminated.
For a 68-pin drive, you will need a 68-pin flat SCSI cable, either pale yellow shiny "teflon" or "twist-and-flat". Most SCSI drives that size and larger cannot be terminated with a strap-setting. The required terminator is non-trivial in size, and is often fixed at the end of the cable (and that is by far the cheapest way to buy it if you need to buy one).
80-pin Single Connector Attachment (SCA) drives are "hot-swap" drives, and you will need a small converter board to make the conversion back to 68-pin. In this set-up, the SCSI Address and options are set on the converter board. The drive picks up the address and options it needs as it powers up.
It is unlikely, but possible for that to be a 50-pin drive. You can use a 50-pin converter at the drive, or if you expect no further SCSI devices, you can cut corners and use less-capable cabling and controller.
