How to install Acrobat XI Pro on a mac airbook has no cd drive

I need some kind of real support as my Acrobat XI Pro installation disc won't work with my new Airbook. Li'l help?

I bought the student/instructor version (boxed CDs) from a campus store. (The find your serial number quickly tried to bring me back to this forum after my product key code was not found (?).) I eventually landed on a "lost serial number" Adobe site. The product number was still not found (?) but - by entering my email address used to previously submit redemption codes, I was able to find retrieve my serial number . It is now safely written down with my (useless) discs.

Trying to install Acrobat 11 pro on a Mac. The Adobe application says my SN

I just installed Acro 11 pro on a Mac and the application manager says my SN is valid but it doesn't list my product as an option. I can see Acro 11 pro in my finder, the App Manager cannot. Does anyone have a way to install this??

I think it may be asking you for a "qualifying product"? If so, this is because you purchased (or were sold) an upgrade from Acrobat Pro 9 or Acrobat Pro X. You now have to prove you qualified for the upgrade by giving the serial number from that older version of Acrobat Pro.

I'm trying to install Acrobat XI Pro on my pc that has Windows Vista Business 32 bit.

When I click to download this program, it brings me to the Adobe Application Manager but Acrobat is not on my list there, even though I purchased all the programs through the cloud.

Sorry, but VISTA is not a supported OS for AA XI. From what I have heard on the forum, there is no way to get it to work. It is interesting that it will run on XP. Seems VISTA was another lame OS from MS, though I am running it on this system and it works fine. However, I use AA8 on this system.

Since you're using Acrobat on Windows, you can set up a scanning preset that uses the scanner's TWAIN driver. When the automatic document feeder is loaded, use the preset to have Acrobat "talk" to the scanner. For information about setting up presets, see Acrobat Help | Scan documents to PDF.

The only reason why Acrobat installation fails and throw this error message is when there are some services running in the background causing the installer not to complete the installation. My take is try the following steps and suggest if you were able to install the products or not :
1) Navigate to control panel and confirm that there is no line Item that talks about Acrobat. If you see Acrobat XI listed there, please remove them.
2) Perform a selective Start up using the steps mentioned in this link.
Please suggest if the above mentioned steps were able to resolve the query for you or not.

Unable to install Acrobat XI Pro via CC

Whenever I try to install Acrobat 11 Pro it ends after 51% saying "the older version of Acrobat 11 Pro can not be removed". Well, there is no older version, I didn't install this software before, although I had Acrobat X previously on the machine which I deinstalled before. Are there any leftovers of the former installation? If so, how can I get my PC clean so XI will install? And: yes, I already tried the installation via "as administrator" with the same negativ result.
Besides that, dear developers at Adobe, the error message "7" is anything but helpful ("42" would have been more acceptable )

Install MSI payload failed with error: 1603
Third party payload installer AcroPro.msi failed with exit code: 1603
System: Win 7 Ultimate, 64 bit

There's no difference between the installer on the disk and that available online.
You can download Acrobat 10 Pro from : http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html
and use the purchased serial number to activate the software.

Step 1
Install Acrobat on your new computer. For example, use the software installation disc or download an installation file from the My Adobe website.
Step 2
Run Acrobat on your new computer, enter your serial number when prompted by Adobe, and then click the "Activate" button. Acrobat will attempt to communicate your licensing information with its servers.
Step 3
Click "Help" in the top file menu of Acrobat and then click "Activate." If only "Deactivate…" is available, then your software has been activated successfully.
