How do I install an Adobe PDF toolbar in Internet Explorer?

If you install Acrobat 10 then it will automatically configure the PDFMaker toolbar in I.E. You can try repairing the software.
Open Acrobat -> Go to Help menu -> Repair Acrobat Installation.
Solution #2
Select "Enable third-party browser extensions" in Internet Explorer Properties.
1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. Select Tools > Internet Options and click the Advanced tab.
3. Select "Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart)" and click OK.
4. Close all Internet Explorer windows.
5. Restart Internet Explorer.
If still doesn't work then let me know what the version of I.E and Acrobat you are using.

Hello. I need help installing Adobe PDF convert web page to pdf toolbar to my Internet Explorer 9. I uninstalled Internet Explorer 11 and 10 because I could not open pdf files in IE 10 or 11 -- trying to open pdf documents froze/locked up Internet Explorer and I had to use Task Manager to exit Internet Explorer every time I tried opening a pdf document. I have downgraded to IE 9 with the hope that I will have better luck.

If it is an issue of the AA X disk, you can download from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. Be sure to create a replacement CD in case it is not available in the future. You will still need your S/N for any reinstall. You can usually get that from the Adobe site as long as you registered Acrobat (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html).

You can only print from SeaMonkey. You have to use IE or FireFox to get the toolbar. It might be possible to use the FireFox system to get the toolbar in SeaMonkey, but I don't think so. When I need the toolbar, I open things in FireFox or IE instead of SeaMonkey or open the URL directly in Acrobat.

Need information on how to install adobe pdf as a printer in my device-printer file in windows 7. I currently have adobe 8 pro & acrobat distiller on my pc.

Acrobat appears to be running just fine- I am running windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I don't know why it just didn't automatically install- I just replaced an older HD that was going bad. Copied my entire system using windows mirrow image. Adobe pdf converter was in my device and printer file before and now its's not. I did have to reinstall several programs, such as Adobe Acrobat, etc.

Go to Page Setup and click on Any Printer.
It should show a drop down list of all printer drivers you have active.
Example for what list should look like (note your set of printers should be different):
Choose desire printer. Set scale and orientation. the cclick okay.
Then in Print menu clicl on list of printer and choose Adobe PDF as the one to make a PDF.
When finished go back to Print menu and check to see if it has defaulted back to your regualr (default printer). If not choose your default printer go go to setting click on settings and save as default. At that point it will always bounce back.

I don't understand what you mean by "I downloaded and installed pdf pack". PDF Pack is not downloaded and not installed. Please take a close look at what you did download and install. Let us know what it was, and we can lead you in the right direction.

What happened to PDF toolbar in Internet Explorer?

(Think I may have posted in the wrong forum -- Acrobat.com -- so I'm reposting here)
I recently installed the beta of Internet Explorer 9 on my Windows 7 system. I liked it well enough, but the install caused my Acrobat 9 Professional toolbar to disappear. The only PDF item under "Manage Add-ons" is Adobe PDF Link Helper, which doesn't seem to do anything. I ran "Repair" several times from Acrobat to no effect. I then uninstalled the beta IE9 and restored IE8, then ran Repair again. No joy. The two icons in the toolbar (convert and convert rectangular region) are long gone. However my Office 2007 applications all have their Acrobat items present and they all work.
I understand that the PDF toolbar has some problems with the 64-bit version of IE8, so I've tried using the 32-bit version, again to no effect.
I can print to the PDF print driver, but that's a bit of a blunt tool and rather inconvenient. I just want to get the toolbar back. Any suggestions?

Keep in mind that IE9 is still in Beta. They may have support for it once the full version is released. I
have IE9 Beta installed on my Win7 notebook and I will take a look to see if I see any options for the toolbar.
I know that with IE9 they were trying to eliminate a lot of the "chrome" of the browser to streamline it like Google's browser.
Firefox 4 Beta has done something similar to maximize website real estate.

Anyone can help me with this issue. Due to our company policy, Download is disable in the Internet Explorer (IE). With Adobe Reader 4/5/6, we are able to open and view the pdf on the IE. But with Adobe Reader 7/8, it require IE download enable before open the pdf file.

Yes, I agree that PDF always downloaded to IE Temp folder. But with IE download disabled and using either Acrobat Reader 6, we can open online PDF files. With with the same setting as above, but now using Adobe Reader 7 or 8, we would get the message "The current security setting does not allow for the files to be downloaded".
Anybody know of any workaround solution or something changed with Adobe Reader 7 or higher?

Acrobat PDF Toolbar in Internet Explorer 7 Disappears

I have the Adobe Acrobat Web PDF Converter addin on IE7 under WinXP Pro. The toolbar for the function appears normally when I am browsing in the first tab. If I open another tab for browsing, the PDF toolbar disappears. It is listed in View/Toolbars, but it is deselected for viewing and cannot be selected; if you select it to display, it simply does nothing.
In other words I always have the PDF toolbar displayed and functioning in the first tab, but for any subsequent tabs it is not present. This happens even though the toolbars are locked, it just disappears when I select a secondary tab.
Any ideas? Is this an Acrobat bug or not?

I'll think about it. I can live with it only being functional in one tab, and I do not see much in A8 Pro that I use that would justify $150+ for the upgrade (I am just a retired guy with no active employment and limited income).
The only reason I have the Pro version now is for the forms features and the PDF driver, I do not use much of anything else beyond the standard functions. And act8ually I have several other programs that have a PDF converter in them to save a file as a PDF.
However, I may consider an upgrade to A8 Standard, is this toolbar functionality provided in that version? Also, the product info is unclear, does A8 Std have a form tool that I can use on a scanned form to provide fillable form fields like I can with A7 Pro?

I want to implement button installer in java so that users can use the utility that i want to provide by clicking the button that appeared on his/her browser (like after installing yahoo toolbar the menu appeared on browser).
I developed web project and i want to provide link on my website and after clicking on it user gets the wizard to download the utility after finishing the install process.I want the button to appear on users browser and after that when user click on that button then i want to execute my project that developed already.

How am I able to install Adobe (PDF) Reader on a PC without Internet.
Downloading the installer and moving the file on the other pc didn't work sadly.
Is there a full installation zip file? If so i definitly missed it !

I can't tell from the screenshot, but it's possible you are running in the Metro version. Could you try this page using Internet Explorer in desktop mode to see if that helps?
right click in the browser and click the tools button
In the menu that appears, select "view on the desktop"

How to restore the Adobe PDF toolbar in Outlook

I inadvertently removed the Adobe PDF toolbar from Outlook. I have tried to restore it but it is no longer listed as one of the available toolbars. How can I restore it? I know I can convert emails to PDF using the PDF printer option, but I would like to have the toolbar back to be able to convert entire folders of emails to PDFs in one operation.
