You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
If you still feel the need to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

Hello everybody,
I have a problem. I bought a new Iphone and wanted to give my old one to my mother.
With the help of Icloud I'd installed my new Iphone with all the data and apps of my old Iphone and after that I'd removed by hand my agenda and contacts from my old Iphone. Today, after switching on my old Iphone and after that also my new Iphone, I noticed that with Icloud all the contacts and calendar items of my new Iphone had been replaced by the items of my old Iphone, which means that I've lost them.
Installing my new Iphone with an old copy of Icloud did not help. Still my empty calendar and contacts are in my Iphone.
Does anybody knows how to put an old version of my calendar and contacts back on my Iphone?? Please help!!

Yes, what is happening is that your calendars are being restored and then over written by the latest version from iCloud. You might try the following:
    1.    Ensure the device is connected to your local network.
    2.    Start the restore from iCloud back up.
    3.    Allow the devices settings to restore (watch for the confirmation of completion).
    4.    As the apps begin to restore pull the connection to your router WAN port (the one that goes to the telephone point).
    5.    Wait for the time out confirmation.
    6.    Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn off contact syncing (keep contacts when prompted).
    7.    Reconnect the router to the internet and let the restore process complete.
    8.    Delete the iCloud contacts from iCloud.com on a computer.
    9.    Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn on contact syncing (merge contacts when prompted).
You need to follow a similar path for calendars and anything else from iCloud you wish to restore.

You need to restore the pre-upgrade backup of the library file in the manner shown in Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

I just purchased a Macbook Pro 13" non-retina and would like to know if (and how) I can install an old version of Logic Pro, such as Logic Pro 9 rather than the latest version, which is Logic Pro X.

It depends on which version of LP9 you own.....
If you don't already own an earlier version you cannot buy Logic Pro 9 any longer from Apple.. It is discontinued....
If you do own an earlier version then...
App Store version? Just sign into the Mac App Store... using the same Apple ID you used to purchase Logic in the first place...and Logic Pro 9 will be found under the Purchase Tab for you to click on and download..
DVD Version? Install via DVDs .... If you don't have a DVD player in your Mac you will need to purchase an external one.... or use another Mac which has a DVD drive using Remote Disk

Install....
Do not run Logic but instead....
Update to 9.1.8 via this link....

But before you to go the effort of trying to downgrade, try these steps, presuming you're referring to iTunes 11:
- Press Control-B to show the menus
- From the View menu, select "Show Sidebar" and "Show Status Bar'
That makes iTunes 11 look much like earlier versions of iTunes and satisfies many people.
