How to install and boot both Leopard and Snow leopard in the same Mac?

I've installed 10.6 (SL) on my MacBook. After I installed SL, I found that a couple of softwares that were working in 10.5 don't work anymore and the providers don't have any update nor any support to the date. Then I decided to make a disk partition: the main with 10.6 and a small one with 10.5 to use with these specific softwares. (the idea is to switch from 10.6 to 10.5 and vice versa)
I've searched in many Mac discussion forums and manuals for instructions to do that without success.
I'm novice with these stuffs, so, somebody could help me with the right steps to do that? (in this moment I've already partitioned the HD: 220 Gb and 25 Gb)

You just insert your install disk and when it asks where you want to install the OS, you choose the partition you want it on.
If there is something about this which is still not clear, just post again.

Hold down the option key while starting iTunes and make an new library. Will it open then? If so, you have a bad library. With the new library import the library.xml version of the file in your iTunes folder. This will make it 90% like before (some metadata are not identical, but I don't know which ones).

You don't need to buy an earlier version of iDVD to have it run with Lion. iDVD 7 has been with us since iLife 08. Tell us in detail what you're experiencing.

A purchased app is associated with an Apple ID. A user with a different Apple ID cannot use the app unless they also use the same Apple ID.
I cannot use my wife's apps nor she mine because each were purchased with different Apple IDs.

The reason is,
The key registry entries are common and shared by All Client Versions on your machine and not separate for each installation.
Even if you being an expert find a method of running multiple versions, the chances of having problems in future are very high.
Note:
Oracle Primavera may not provide full support in case something goes wrong on a machine having multiple P6 client nstallations.

At work we have Master Collection CC to each employe, but because Lr doesn't include that I bought the Ps + Lr bundle at home for private use. Is it possible to use two accounts on the same Mac, because I use to work a lot at home and need Ae and Pr on the same Mac as my private account with Lr?

Depending on how many pictures you wish to share there are different options.
1) Steps to share your whole iPhoto Library
A) Share your photos
Firstly setup a shared folder that the other user(s) will be able to access. This can be done in System Preferences, Sharing, then selecting the checkbox next to 'File Sharing'. You'll then want to select the folder to share and also the users who can access it.
In your instance, I would suggest sharing the folder where your 'iPhoto Library' file resides, which is most likely going to be in the default 'Pictures' folder. The other user will then be able to access your 'iPhoto Library' in their iPhoto application under their user account and see all contents in your iPhoto library.
B) Configure the other users iPhoto to access your shared iPhoto Library (or any library of your choice)
Logout of your account and into the user who requires access to your iPhoto Library. Find the iPhoto application, press and hold the option/alt key and click to open the application. 'What photo library do you want iPhoto to use?' will appear in a window, click 'Choose', navigate to your preferred iPhoto Library and iPhoto will now load your pictures.
2) Steps to share a few selected pictures
You will follow the same steps as above in order to setup a shared pictures folder, however in your user account, drag and drop photos out of your iPhoto library into a shared folder which the other user can access.
Notes:
The method of sharing your whole iPhoto Library means that both users will be accessing/editing the same library. This means you will be able to see pictures imported/edited by each other. If this is undesired, you can create a copy of your iPhoto library on the 2nd user account instead of both accounts running the same library from a shared folder.

Presuming you moved the entire iTunes folder to the shared folder the other users need to start their iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and select the iTunes Library.itl file in the shared folder. Only once should be necessary. Note that any changes anybody makes will be seen by everybody, so you have to trust each other a lot.
If all you moved are media files each user will have to add those files to their iTunes library.

Install and uninstall deployments at the same time?

I've a question about the behavior, if there is an install and an uninstall deployment at the same time?
Background:
I've a device collection called "Default Client" wich deploys all our default software for installation and all special software for uninstallation. For each special software, there is a device collection with an install deployment for it. Now I can
add machines to this "special software device collections" to install the software and after removing them from the collection, they uninstall the software.
In my tests on two clients this worked perfect. But can I assume that this works every time or could this behavior be serendipity because of these two competing deployments?

I'm assuming the membership of the uninstall collections is dynamic and based on the fact that the client are not members of the "Default Client" collection correct so that when a resource is removed from the "Default Client" collection
it is automatically added to these other uninstall collections?
If so, then yes, the uninstall is happening because of this.
If not, then what you've seen is a coincidence because Applications will not be automatically removed just because the Install deployment is no longer applicable to a system.

The problem I met is I should not export/import Oralce folder in registry.
If do that, Oracle only configure one home to either oracle817 or form6i.

I'm running CS 5.5 on Mac OS 10.7.3, runs pretty good, with some caveats. In your experience, if I install the CS6 trial, will I still be able to run 5.5 in case I have problems with 6? I want to have the option of NOT using CS6 if I need to, but I'm anxious to try CS6.

How to transfer user settings from one account to another (on the same Mac)

I'd like to create separate user accounts for "work" and "play" (so that I can do things like have separate address books, etc...). However, I already have LOTS of personalized settings (trackpad behavior, login items, etc) that I'd like to keep the same between the two accounts.
Is there a way to transfer all of the user settings from one account to another?

You'll need to copy your /Home/Library folder. Make sure you back up first before doing the following. Log out of both your Work and Play accounts. Log in to a third account with administrator privileges. Assuming you are copying from the account called "work" to the account called "play", enter the following in Terminal:
sudo rm -rf ~play/Library (this deletes Play's Library folder.)
sudo cp -R ~work/Library ~play/Library (this copies Work's Library folder to Play's folder.)
sudo chown -R play ~play/Library (this fixes permissions of Play's new Library folder.)

How can I configure one of them so that workshop refers to one type of domain at a time.
As of now, first installed version seems to take precedence.

Tiger and Snow Leopard on the same Mac

I need to use some Apps that are Tiger only and so I thought to install Tiger on my MBP using a virtualization software. What would you recommend? VMWare Fusion? Parallels? Any other?
