You cannot install Android onto a Lumia 520. You should have done a bit of research before buying the 520 if you feel that the phone doesn't meet your requirements.

I don't personally know how to do this, but it seems that some people have been able to do it on certain devices.
I found a video on Youtube of someone that was able to port Android 4.4 KitKat to the ZTE Open C:

Please keep in mind that this would be very experimental, and there is always the risk of bricking your device.

How deactivate automatic sync in Lumia 520

Hi, I would like anyone to help me solve the following matter.
I have a problem that my phone chows up my internet data bundle even when I don't use it. I can just put my phone on a table for hours and find my data disappeared.
The other thing that would like to stop is automatic synchronization when I open OneNote. Please help a brother out! I cannot afford to pay for a lot of internet data everyday.

Switch off data in Settings > Cellular
Ensure you are connecting to WiFi wherever possible which will override cellular
Find the apps using much data and remove or disable their acces (usually the backround process). You can find this information in the Datasense application
Unless you have a minute (as in below 100MB/month) data limit I would not worry about any sync action as the used data is really minimal. I just went abroad for Xmas and only stopped automatic uploads of photos in Settings>backup while leaving any data/mail syncing active and did not use ore than 5-7MB/day

I just purchased this phone Lumia 520-already very confused.
How do you save to SIM card. My storage is being used up rapidly.
Mainly: How do you save apps and contacts to SIM and/or S/D card.
Facebook: loaded all my contacts and pictures on my phone. How do I unsync them or delete them?
I need major help, please if someone has this information let me know.
This is my first smartphone and I thought I had it down, I am finding out I do not. I am confused about Cloud and SKy Drive as well?

1.You can't save contacts to SIM
2.You can only store Media Files and Maps data (using THIS application) on the SD Card
3.Go to the 'people' hub and tap (...) at the bottom -->settings-->filter my contact list ..and uncheck 'Facebook'

Can anyone please assist me on getting my Lumia 520 music app update itself on wifi. For a long time now it always gives an error message. Other apps are updating whenever there is a new update.

What is the exact error message that you're getting when you try updating the Music app? Have you tried downloading the app update via mobile data connection? This is the default Music app and not a downloaded one, correct?
Make sure that the phone's SW is updated. If you're phone is already running the Lumia Cyan SW, make sure that Update apps automatically and Only get updates over WiFi are both enabled under Settings > swipe to applications > store.These settings will allow automatic update downloads for all apps you've installed in your Lumia 520, though some apps have their own inbuilt auto update features.

Nokia Lumia 520 screen cracked

I love my Nokia Lumia 520 but very disappointed with the thin glass on the screen. I fell over on the path and had my phone in my hand therefore when I fell over the phone screen cracked and now the touch will not work but the LCD is fine, the screen still lights up. I'm on waiting for a new screen so I can replace it myself but like I said seriously disappointed! I got this phone in June for my birthday and then one mistake it just cracked.

Once linked to a specific account the contact will sync there and not to another account. It may be possible to backup contacts using an app like Contacts Backup, Remove them (from outlook,com) and restore the backup at which time the app may ask to which account to backup.
As I recall Contacts Backup creates a .VCF (VCARD) file on skydrive which you might be able to import into an Android phone or you can export the contacts from outlook.com and import them into gmail.
So you have options, but it would be better to ask in an Android community to make sure.

you don't use zune for wp8.
just connect your device with a usb cable to your pc and it should auto--detect, then auto-install the drivers and then you can just go to "My Computer" and you will see "Lumia 520"
it will show up as a drive and you can just drag and drop mp3/docs/etc to your device now.
