How to Install application to BB ?

We can install an application(say "xyz") through BB Desktop Manager using "xyz.alx" file?
What to do if we want to INSTALL same("xyz") application in our Blackberry directly using Internet Browser(Wirelesslly).
Without using any USB.
Is there any installer sort of thing .
I have BB 8110 Pearl.
Please assist me..

Hi and welcome to the forums.
What you are looking for is the words (OTA) "over the air."
Most vendors have these links so you just point your BB browser at the link and
it will install the program. Be sure to allow connections, so the program has what it needs
as fas as access to other programs.

How to install applications on the 8700c

I am new to Blackberry, just started using a 8700c. I found numerous applications I would like to try, but cannot figure out how to install them. I loaded app world on my device, but I get a message that says App. World is not available on devices with track wheels. How do I install apps from App World that are listed as compatible with this model? I did not find any way of downloading the app to my PC so I could use the app loaded in the desktop manager.

Unfortunately the App World won't work on devices with a traackwheel. Do you have a BlackBerry data plan? I so most apps can be downloaded OTA from thieir respectivr websites.

I just installed AS 10g 10.1.2, upgraded it to 10.1.2.3 and applied Jul2008 CPU.
It was initially a simple J2EE install (with only J2EE and OC4J).
It seems there is no EM Application Server Control component since all attempts below failed:

How to install Application Tool Box in HFM

Hi
I have a requirement to just install Hyperion Application tool box on a client machine (say Windows 7) for Hyperion 11.1.2.2 version. I have tried installing via HFM Utilities installer available on OTN but I get Active X error and I am not sure if that will get the required software. On HFM server I see that the tool box exists.
Please let me know if someone has already installed this or faced similar issue.

If you create a dependency for app A to install App B then you cannot have a dependency for App B to install App A, that would create a loop.
I would either just deploy one of the apps and use dependencies and inform the users to install App A to get B as well or group them together in a Wrapper that runs both installations when you install the application as that is what you want in this scenario.

I think what you may be refering to in "Q1" is the "January software upgrade", to buy this you will need an iStore account but I don't know if you can get one in Pakistan.

With regards to "Q2", you need the above mentioned Upgrade to be able to customize your home screen.

How to install applications dvd AND keep computer on setup screen?

I have a 21.5 imac with snow leopard 10.6, I reinstalled the OS by dvd so its on the "bienviedo" part with the movie like a new mac, I want to keep it like that to sell it - but I see a 2nd applications DVD.

Actually the way Apple does it is they Image Hundereds if not Thousands of drives at the same time with an image containing all of the OS and apps before they are installed in the computer during the manufacturing.
What I was referring to was when a system is returned to an Apple store or to Apple directly and then they refurb it, whatever that really means, before selling it as a Reburb unit. Most of the time Apple directly would just Re-Image the drive but a Store may use the system I was talking about for returned unit or if your drive need to be replaced.
NOTE:
You Really Must supply the Original system disc with the system. You should not keep them as they are Machine Specific and really can't be used on any other model Mac computer. Otherwise if the new owner ever need to reinstall the original OS X version they would need to buy a replacement set from Apple.

I have the following question and I hope to find a creative solution.
My applications architecture is a client server one.
I would like the server to remotely connect to its clients machines and silently install a client java application for 2 purposes:
1. Install new clients on computers that werent part of the deployment yet. When the server connects to a new clients he needs send the installation file and execute it
2. Updated existed clients (replace jars, configuration files, etc)
My main goal is to do everything in silent mode (without requiring the users to connect the clients and actively install clients application).
Can any of you think of a Java solution for this? I think the first purpose if the harder one so in case I ask my users to install the clients for the first time, how do I silently upgrade their applications when needed?

I have to prepare many iPads for work, and I've found the process to be very redundant. In order to ensure that the applications are tied to the ID of the final client, I have to first create an account under my email, download all the applications and then change the email to the client's. Now when I have to prepare another device, I have to delete the applications in iTunes and re-download them with a new account to make sure they are tied to the next ID. Is there a way to download and sync all the applications under one ID, and not have issue with updates in the future? Keep in mind I'm only installing free applications.

I want to install Oracle Application Server and then To Deploy forms there.
I am doing this on Linux with 10G.
So I know that First I have to install Oracle Infrastructer & then Oracle Midtier
Servers.
So Probably these two installations will create two diffirent home.
So in Which home I need to configure my forms in Infra or in Mid ?
And also as I am on Linux due to some reason I want to install all these
through single os user Oracle by which I have already installed Oracle Dev Suite.
So the .bash_profile for Oracle user is now set for Dev Suite.
So what changes I will need to do in .bash_profile to run Application Server
with same user ?
And as I was starting Oc4 by ./startinstance.sh for DevSuite
What shells I need to fire to up Application Server.
If possible please forword any useful link related above stuff.

Hi James,
Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 is supported, but not yet in the oraparam.ini
You can either comment the OS line in oraparam.ini, to prevent OS checking.
Or run runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs if you're sure all other prerequisites are met.
The first option is preferable, since the second will ignore all prerequisites.
The installer should run fine.
