How to install apps purchased from itunes 11 without removing old apps installed from ipod touch?

I recently purchased apps from the app store using my computer (through itunes) and I cannot sync those apps to my ipod touch. Whenever I try to sync those apps I got from itunes, it automatically removes the apps I downloaded directly on my ipod touch. How can I install the apps I got from itunes without removing the apps I downloaded directly on my ipod touch? I hope my question is clear and I hope someone can help me Thanks in advance!

I already use the "Transfer Purchases" function in itunes and sync. And then what happened was when I try to click on "install" on an app I got from the computer, I can see the summary bar of my ipod's memory move. For example, my ipod has 3.23 gb remaining memory and then I try to click on "install" on 1 app then suddenly it moves to 5.21 gb remaining memory.

  • Removing songs from itunes without removing them from ipod

Is it possible to remove songs from iTunes without removing them from iPod? When I attempt to delete songs from iTunes I get a warning that they'll be deleted from iPod as well. I've got Manually manage music and videos checked under Options in the Summary window.

You can delete songs from your iTunes/computer hard drive after transferring them to the iPod, and for this you need to set your iPod to manage the iPod content manually.
However, this is an extremely risky option because when (and not if) there comes a time to restore your iPod, which is a very common fix for iPod problems, then all the music would be erased. If you no longer have the music in iTunes (or any other back up), then all that music would be lost.
What if the iPod were lost/stolen/needed repair? Again, the music would lost. I strongly recommend a back up, and if computer hard drive space is in short supply, you should seriously consider an external hard drive. They are not expensive, and the cost is well worth it when compared to the loss of all your precious music.
At the very least back up your music to either cd or dvd before deleting it, particularly any purchased music/videos, as this would have to be bought again if it were lost. See these about backing up media.

To move music from iPod to computer, check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
There is also CopyPod. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

  • How do i transfer a new album to my iPod from iTunes without overwriting my library on the iPod

If i try to add a new album or song to my iPod from iTunes all the other data is deleted. How do i do this without having to trasnefer my entire library every time i have new music to add?

If you sync your iphone, then open itunes, connect iphone, select everything that you want to be on the iphone and sync.
If you manually manage, then drag and drop what you want.

  • Songs that I recently added to my iTunes (not purchased from iTunes store) will not sync with my iPod touch 4th generation. How can I fix this?

I typically download my music directly from youtube. I have never had any issue when it came to putting it on my ipod touch (4th generation). However, today, I downloaded a couple of songs, added them to my iTunes (11.1.4). When I hit "sync" it said at the top that it was "Synching iPod: Steps 1of 3." It went through these steps incredibly quickly, a matter of seconds really, and I went to check it they had synced. They had not. I tried this several times before uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. Even with the re-install, it does not work. I am wondering if it is because these songs were not downloaded directly from the iTunes store. i tried downloading a song from the iTunes store and it is currently in my iPod, so I know that it is able to sync music.  I just started using this version of iTunes as I just installed it on the laptop I just bought (windows 8).

Was the iPod setup via iTunes on this computer?
    Setup via wifi?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?

I am trying to delete a song from my ipod and I deleted it from itunes but it is still showing up on my ipod touch. How do I make it go away?

  • How do I transfer music on itunes on powermac g4 mdd to my ipod touch 5g

It may sound too radical but I want to transfer my music stored on iTunes on my Powermac G4 MDD to my newest toy, iPod Touch 5G.  I connected the ipod to the powermac.  iTunes didn't show my iPod.  Does anyone know how to get around to do this?  Other than these two, I have an iPad 2 and a Macbook Pro.  Using all these, can I somehow get the music from my antique Mac?

Here's your problem. the iPod Touch requirements:
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac requires:
Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
iTunes 10.7 or later (current version is v11)
Your PM G4 is at its max OS. You need a Mac with an Intel processor.
But you say you have a MacBook Pro and it can sync to the iPod. Still you need to get your music to the MBP. There are several options. You could connect your G4 to the MBP and use Target Disk Mode, or you could use a Flash thumb drive to transfer.

I installed the latest version of itunes on a widows 8 computer but my ipod touch is not syncing all the albums.  Why and what can I do to fix it?

Does the not-playing music play in iTunes?
Is there anything different about what does sync and what does not?

  • How can I purchase from Itunes without store jumping (I buy from the Guyanese store and some products are listed as only in US Stores)?

How to avoid store jumping? Why cant there be a seamless Itune Store?

Due to the rights of certain content not all content is available in all areas.  This means the US store may have items that are not available in the UK store, and the UK store may have items that are not available in the US store, and etc and etc.  This is likely to not change anytime soon.

  • Can't drag/drop music files from Itunes 10.5.2 to my new Ipod Touch

    Greetings!
I I spent about 1.5 hours on the phone with an apple tech and really feel like we've tried everything! Switching from manually managing music to auto synch and back, reinstalled ITunes, etc and I still can't drag and drop music files on to my Ipod. I am able create a new playlist, but music files can't be dragged into there either... Could it be a conflict between Itunes 10.5.2 and Mac OS X 10.5.8 that I'm unaware about? Any ideas?! I'm stuck!

Every time I get an email, that darned notification banner pops up in the upper right corner.  I don't want to eliminate Mail from my dock, because it's handy, but is there a way to simply stop that annoying Banner in the upper right corner?

  • How do i sync apps to my iPhone 4S using itunes without losing aps already installed on the phone but with a different apple ID, and i dont have the apple ID??

how do i sync apps to my iPhone 4S using itunes without losing aps already installed on the phone but with a different apple ID, and i dont have the apple ID??

How have you managed to get apps on your phone that are tied to a different and unknown AppleID?
If these apps were not purchased by you, having them is effectively software piracy and you should purchase them using your own AppleID if you want to keep hem.
