Want to install bluetooth to my HP Pavilion.
What can I use to install to my laptop?

I have an imac G5 PowerPC with 20" screen. I didn't get a Bluetooth Card factory installed but recently decided I needed it so I bought one from a 3rd party vendor. Question is how can I install it?
I don't really care about voiding warranty, so if someone can point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the response. I guess the question I have is then if there is no way to install a bluetooth card into an iMac G5, why is this part sold? Indeed, Apple even has a part number for it.
Do I trash the little guy that I already purchase and buy a dongle (I've always wanted a dongle....)? Or is there some way to get the card installed, as (a) I don't want to sacrifice yet another USB port and (b) I already own the thing! I would take suggestions such as:
- Just bring it to a dealer and they can install it for you (helpful, if true);
or
- Ideally, the method by which the end-user can install it at the expense of the warranty (question solved) is: <Follow that link>.

How to install Bluetooth Stack for L850-1EZ?

Hi,
I have Satellite L850 - 1EZ with short model number: PSKDNE and I can't install the driver for bluetooth device. I downloaded it from the site, but in the process on installation it says "Please plug in the Bluetooth device and click OK button".
My bluetooth device was working properly before I sent my notebook to technical service because of motherboard failure which ended up replacement of the motherboard. And before that -unfortunately- someone tried to reinstall the operating system and all the drivers were gone.
After I recieved my notebook from the technical service all my drivers were back except Bluetooth driver. Now I'm trying to install it but keep getting error messages. My operating system was originally Windows 8 - 64bit . Now it is updated to Windows 8.1 .
Can anyone help with this issue ?

No error messages during the installation process but nothing happened after the installation. Still no sign of Bluetooth on the right down corner.

HP appears to have no maintenance guide available for this model series. What's up with that?
Please, do not offer the generic (and out-of-date) Pavilion 17 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide. It does not appear to apply to the 17z-F series. This guide instructs to remove the bottom service panel which I could have figured that out on my own. However, the 17z-F series does not appear to have any removable panels at all. I took an up-close look at the Pavilion 17z-F100. And, it does not have any removable panels on the underside, except for the battery. So, I presume the 17z-F200 to be the same.
I am a computer technician. And, this is the first laptop I have seen without any service panels. I am probably going to have to disassemble the entire outer-shell to install memory (or to replace the hard disk drive once the time comes). But, every laptop I have worked on in the past had its own special array of hidden screws or special tricks for disassembly. So, having a maintenance guide is a necessity to avoid damaging plastic mounts, clips, guides, etc.

Don't get me started on this. It's one of my pet peeves, too. HP is not the only one doing this. Acer and Toshiba, etc. also are selling "closed" systems now. I hate it. I will absolutely never knowingly buy one but I am spending a lot of time here answering questions just like this. Good luck and let us know how you do. Sounds like you will be fine.

I took a look at the Pavilion 17z-F100 (sent by mistake). It does not have any removable panels on the underside. And, the User Guide for the 17z-F200 indicates that it will be the same (assuming it ever arrives).

According the notebook specification BT on your notebook is not available and it means your Qosmio is not BT upgradeable. Only solution for you is usage of external USB BT stick.

How To Install internal Mac Pro Bluetooth?

Could anyone draw me a picture in my head of how to install this bluetooth device before I get it and put it in pretty quick? Users guide is no joy. Can';t be too hard? I'm softwared up and external now. Keyboard connectivity is not what I'd like... maybe on account of the third party external usb/bluetooth.

*****Disclaimer*****HP doesn't recommend the installation of Windows 7 on a computer shipped with Windows 8, nor will it support the installation of Windows 7. HP will not provide Windows 7 drivers and suitable drivers may not be available for the hardware in the computer. Make sure you create your HP Recovery Discs or USB Flash Recovery media before modifying or changing ANYTHING. I just received the card (Part# MA252G/A) in the mail but have no instructions on how to install it.
The Apple website makes it seem like you have to have a BA in computer science to do it, and provides no instrutions. I'd like to see what's involved before attemting the install myself. Mind you, I've built computers from scratch so I'm inclined to believe I can do this myself with a little help.

I was told that they wouldn't sell it to a third party. But if you got it, Apple installs it without charge so I'd let them do it and insure that your warranty isn't voided. Get to know the folks at the apple store near you (if you have one). They're really helpful and do things "gratis" on occasion. This is one of the reasons I usually try to "buy locally" for everything. It may be cheaper online but the personal relationship often helps out in the long run and the cost winds up being less. fwiw, my 2¢.

Consumer models generally use HP Wireless Assistant, but I was not able to find this exact model on the consumer support site for some reason.
As a result, I found the HP Connection Manager on the business support center. It essentially accomplishes the same tasks as HP Wireless Assistant in the consumer models. Install it using the link below.

It is strange the F12 key is not enabling and disabling wifi and bluetooth simultaneously. My consumer model notebook's F12 key turns my wifi and Bluetooth off and on. Apparently the same design decisions are not used across all consumer notebooks.

I'm new to Macbook Pro w/ Retina Display. I'm a non-tech guy. Well, I'm familiar with Windows PCs but not familiar with Macbook Pros and OS X.
Please if you people can step me step by step that how to Install Windows 8 on Macbook Pro w/ Retina Display 15 inch.
Because recently, Apple released OS X Update 10.8.3 which includes support for Windows 8 in Boot Camp.

NB100 - How to install Windows 7 without CD drive

Hi. I wondering if some one knows how to install Windows 7 whit out a CD player.
I have an external HDD.
Is it posibel to do a image on that one to boot from?

I'm typing this on an NB100 (Upgraded to 2GB of RAM) running Windows 7 RC .
Make sure to update your BIOS to the latest version (1.9 I think) and then you can mount the Windows 7 .iso as a virtual drive using Daemon Tools in XP and run it and do a clean install.
Windows 7 will back up all your documents, music, videos etc in a folder called Windows.old and it will find all the new drivers you need all by itself (at least it did for me). If I remember correctly the only one I had to install again was the Bluetooth Stack.
All the Toshiba drivers and manuals etc will still be on your hard drive too, I think they're all stored on a small separate partition, which I think is pretty neat.
It took me a while cus I did as much research and reading up as I could beforehand but in the end it was really easy. Shouldn't take you more than an hour really.
Windows 7 is also running pretty damn well too. The only problem I have is that sometimes the taskbar disappears after the screensaver has been running, but a friend of mine is having the same problem on his Samsung netbook.
