How to install BPS Business Content

Hi All,
I'm not able to install BPS Business Content, can anyone tell me the process. Transaction UPB_APPL_IMPORT (in client 000) is not working (Error says transaction do not exist)

To transfer and activate a DataSource delivered by SAP with Business Content, in transaction SBIW in the source system choose Business Information Warehouse à Business Content DataSources or Activating SAP Business Content àTransfer Business Content DataSources.
The following figure displays the DataSources in an overview according to the application component.
       2.      Select the nodes in the application component hierarchy for which you want to transfer DataSources into the active version. Do so by positioning the cursor on the node and choosing Highlight Subtree.
The DataSources lying under the subtree and other subtrees are selected.
       3.      To check for differences between the active and delivery versions of the DataSources, choose Select Delta.
DataSources for which differences were found in the check (for example, due to changes to the extractor) are highlighted in yellow.
       4.      To analyze the differences between active and delivered versions of a particular DataSource, select the DataSource and choose Version Comparison. The application log contains further information regarding the version comparison.
       5.      To transfer a DataSource from the delivery version into the active version, select it in the overview tree using the button Highlight Subtree and choose Transfer DataSources.
If an error occurs, the error log appears.
Regardless of whether data has been successfully transferred into the active version, you can call the log by choosing Display Log.
       6.      To provide the active version of the DataSource in the connected BI systems and to enable data extraction and transfer, replicate the DataSource(s) with a metadata upload to the BI system.
and in RSA1 in businuess content search ur required cube and select all the req fielsds in the next colums and select before and after is a must..in the selection field..
this will solve ur issue..

How to install/use business contents on Erecruit - in BW 3.5

I am challenged with a brand new BW 3.5 install where I am trying to install Erecruit (ODSs) business contents. I cannot find any documents on what is needed before I can use the business contents as well as what's included in the ODSs and the rest of business contents. Perhaps they share objects from other infoCubes that I do not have. This is a fresh installation of BW 3.5 and nothing else is installed. We have a fully functional ESS/Erecruit so it'd be nice to analyze that data into BW system. Thanks for any help or clues.

How to find BW-BPS Business Content / SEM-BPS Business Content

Hi All
We have BW 3.5 and SEM 4.0 in our system. I am trying to find some Business Content for BPS. It seems that there is no Business content for BW-BPS. I know there is Business Content for SEM-BPS. My question is how do I get to the SEM-BPS Business Content. Is there any T-code or something to go and find the Business Content. I am trying to find a Planning area for Cost Center.
Please provide me with some details. I would appreciate any help ASAP.

Hi Nag,
The process is different to the normal BW process, instead of installing it directly on your client, you have to select the process in client 000 and then import in your working client.
The process is as follows:
1) log on to client 000 of your BW system
2) goto transaction UPB_APPL_IMPORT (in client 000 of course) and click the planning function you want to install the busines content of
3) run transaction UPB_APPL_IMPORT; this will generate a transport request
4) release this transport in client 000
5) import in the working client
Most of the planning areas are defined as remote planning areas, you will receive an error if you try to access them.
Switch to local planning areas in the planning area.
You also have to install the BW transactional cubes, this can be done using the normal BW business content transactions.

Installation of BI-BPS Business Content

Hi All,
      I have installed business content for BPS Business Content Cubes :
      Average Prices for Sales and Profit Planning : 0SEM_C10
   while installing the content i have made sure that "before and after data flow" option was used.
     Installation went successfully but when i navigate to Planning Workbench BPS0 I am unable to see the corresponding Planning Areas.
    Please tell how i can get the Planning areas for this content.

Hello Sunil,
BPS content is not installed when aktivating BW content, because it is a different method to be used.
I remember, that you have to go to the 000 client in your system and perform a special transaction.

Error in Installing the Business Content for 2LIS_06_INV data source

Hi Experts,
We are trying to install the Business content for 2lis_06_inv. When we replicate the datasource, we are not seeing it in 3.x version. It is only vailable in 7 version. There is no transformation available in Business content for this data source. Please let me know how we need to proceed with this installation. Should we install the 7.0 flow or 3.x flow? Please provide th details if you have implemented th same in your system. Thanks is advance.

Follow bellow steps:
1. Goto RSA1.
2. Select the BI content.
3. Select the Grouping as' In Dataflow before and after'
Then,you can get the data flow which are haveing the DS/TR/Data targets.
4. Select the Install by setting the 'Install in background'.

Hi Hassan,
Well i would like to quote one more point here, although you can import a buss pack into the portal but there are some std methods to be followed for every thing in portal, When it comes to deploying a busines package, you should always do it from SDM only !! although we can use import facility. now let me tell you the difference between the two. When you use import, you are just putting the contents into the portal and not deploying it, where as using SDM you deploy the SCA files on your portal totally. you must be knowing that business packages are always delivered in SCA formats.

Install the business content

Hi Bi experts,
i need to install the business content of the purchase contract ODS and Cubes. now we are using the netweaver 2004s. can any body explain the how to install the . one more i should not overwrite the existing active objects. how do i know datasource of the that ODS. can anybody tell the how to find the datasource for respective ODS.

Hi
To see the corresponding datasources of the particular ODS
u have to view thru help.sap.com.From there you have to go thru BI Content - and click Netweaver2004's.
From there check which industry your ODS belong too and then you will find your datasource and correponding logic , cubes , standard reports..
To install BI content.
1. Use tcode RSA1
2. Select BI Content
3. Find Datastore object
4. select and find teh name of ur ODS and darg to the right pane.
5. Once you drag on the right side, you will find cxertain objects in green status color - theese are the objects which are installed in your BI . make sure you dont check it otherwise it will overwrite.
6. the objects which are not green should be checked. BI Content automatically checks only those components which are not installed.
7. Select Grouping "In dataflow before and after "
and then click Install
8. your BI content will be installed finally.

How to see the business content workbooks

Hi All,
I have installed some of the business content workbook from RSA1 and want to see them in Bex analyser , i can see some of the already avilable workbooks there with my user id , but when iam clicking on that the system pop ups "Cant find workbook on the server".
Moroever , how can i see the workbook that i installed from business content.

But there is something that confuses me - I want to migrate from Win2003Std to SBS2008. And also, I want to keep the existing Win2003Std as a second DC for a long time.
But it is written in the shown article:
... After the migration is finished, you must remove the Source Server from the network within 21 days. ...
Is this rule mandatory for the scenarios where the Source Server is Std, not SBS ? As I know, I can have more than one DC(Win2003Std/Win2008Std) together with SBS2003. But what about SBS2008 ?

Error While Installing the Business Content Query

Dear Friends,
We are in BI 7.0 and trying to install a business content query "Balance Sheets Profit and Loss Statement" but while activating we are getting the error that some Particular Request has not been found or not suitable. we checked for that request in SE09 and found that there is no such request existing in the system. So what could be the cause of the Error and what to do for successfully Installing the Query.

Error when installing the business content (update rules)

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to install the Business Content for Plant Maintenance. When trying to install the update rules UPDR BN10TVY8N84KARHU2FLSSYL56, I was able to see the update rules in the collected objects. But, when trying to install, it throws an error saying that the update rules is not found.
Could you please help me in resolving the issue and install the update rules successfully.

You should install corresponding neccessary object with it, like update rule data target, and connected infosources also.
infosource -> update rules -> data target
Cross check you have infosoure, and data target installed or not, and if not install all these together.
You can also use grouping option as install all neccesary options. It will collect all neccessary objects.

How to get apo Business content

You can still activate this DS in BW side. However if you have no APO system available they will simply not be used.
