How to install Developer Suite 6i on Cent OS

i need oracle developer suite 6i to run graphics on oracle application server but i cannot install devsuite6i.
i downloaded d2k6irelease2.tar from oracle site. help me to install it on CentOS
i tried:
1. extract .tar into folder
2. yum install FolderName
[root@ServerName DevSuite6i]# yum install DevSuite6i

No Match for argument: graphics60/
Nothing to do

Intalling developer 6i in Linux is not difficult, but I bet that you won't be much impressed by the graphics. Download the software, extract it and then run ./runInstaller from user Oracle (after giving it permissions), and thats it.

How to install developer suite on windows vista

trying to install the dveloper suite on windows vista, keep gettting error that the pagefile(swap file) size is 0 and need to fix this problem.

And note the fourth paragraph from the top. There is a BIG bug in Forms Builder 10g running on Vista. When you try to compile a program unit (procedure) that calls another one that has compiler errors, the Forms Builder crashes. So it can be pretty frustrating if you actually try do any forms development work.

my question is
how to run form in developer suit i was using developer 6I now i want to run my module to developer suit 10g first i install developer suit 10g then database 10g and make a simple module of emp table
now when i run its give me error The HTTP Listner is not runing
i start OC4J Instance then again i run the form its run and install

then its give me again error

i check my firewall setting its check all program and service excluding Remote disktop

How to install ovi suite to a drive other than C:?...

how to install ovi suite to a drive other than c:??? my c: drive is almost full with other partitions perfectly free to install it, how do i do that? can i use previous versions of ovi suite to use with my e63? at this point, i'm unable to use ovi suite at all, because there's no room to install it on my c: drive.
allllllllso there's one more thing, when i originally had tried installing ovi suite on my computer i had more than 1gb free. after installing it i on'ly had 500mb free. i had only intended for it to use a very small amount of space, and since i also use my c: drive for virtual memory i quickly uninstalled it, looking for an option i'd maybe skipped over while installing it the first time. no luck. anyways, when i looked in the add/remove programs control panel the installed size of ovi suite was only 40-50mb. even after uninstalling ovi suite the extra memory space that seemed to all of a sudden taken up by the installation stayed used.
when looking at the file sizes of everything on my hard drive, (including system files and paging file) there is still a descreprency between the amount of memory used and the size of all files total on the drive. at this point im quite disgusted and disapointed in ovi suite as i'm mostly unable to use it to connect my phone to my computer and i'm also having problems with the CA101 cable as well. i guess i'll have to go check for another cable.

When installing Nokia Ovi Suite to PC, Windows makes "system restoration points", which are available to restore operating system to previous condition, if something goes wrong, for example in driver installation.
You can change install location of Nokia Ovi Suite with following:
- Download Nokia Ovi Suite install package from Nokia Ovi Suite pages
- Start Windows Command prompt
- From Command prompt, navigate to folder containing Nokia Ovi Suite install package, which you downloaded
- Start Nokia Ovi Suite install package with command line "Nokia_Ovi_Suite_webinstaller.exe /TARGET="D:\TestDir\Test"
- This results, that Nokia Ovi Suite installer creates folder D:\TestDir\Test (if that doesn't exist) and installs Nokia Ovi Suite there.
- Unfortunately, Windows Installer still keeps installer cache files and system restoration points in C: drive (or whatever your system drive is)
As you can see, this is possible, but it is very much recommend to have enough space for installing software into system drive.

Installing developer suite on ubuntu 8.04

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu since a couple of months now and i'am very happy of it.
I want to install developer suite 10gr2 on ubuntu. Of course I can do that with an xp virtualization.
But as the XE database is also available for ubuntu, with explanations for installation http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/linux/install/xe-on-kubuntu.html I want to do the same with forms builder.
Is there a tutorial for that ? is it even possible?

Problem Installing Developer Suite on WIndows Vista

Hi! i'm a student of computer science, and i need to install developer suite for a proyect i need to do for one of my classes.
I have a problem installing developer suit on Windows Vista. After i download and unzip both disk, i run the setup from the installer folder and i get an alert that says: "abnormal termination. There's been an internal error. Send the following files to the Oracle Suport Services: Unknown, Unknow, Unknow". I've also tryed with the setup from the main folder and i get the same alert. I don't know what to do, i've tryed setting the compatibility mode to windows XP, runnig as administrator, changing the performance configuration of my computer and nothing. Please help me to install the program!

The installer does not offer any options. -SS.
My C drive is full and there is not enough space for the humoungous Ovi suite. As a matter of my personal policy, I never install any application to my C drive. I have created a separate D partition expressly for installing applications.

- Download Nokia Ovi Suite install package from Nokia Ovi Suite pages
- Start Windows Command prompt
- From Command prompt, navigate to folder containing Nokia Ovi Suite install package, which you downloaded

Yes, it is possible to run Oracle Forms 10g R2 on Windows 7, although, it is not officially supported by Oracle. Oracle has only certified Forms 11g (Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM) 11g) for Windows 7. If your development requires a supported Oracle environment, then I suggest you upgrade to OFM.
The key to setting up Forms 10g on Windows 7 is the preparation. First, the Oracle Installer doesn't recognize Windows managed virtual memory so you will need to change your system virtual memory settings from "Windows Managed" to a specific size (typically 2048mb minimum). Second, you will need to change the compatibility to "Windows XP" for the Forms 10g installer and run the installer as "Administrator" for the installation to succeed.

Cannot install developer suite

Hello,
I have Oracle 10g installed at my PC. This installation was done successfully. Yesterday I downloaded the developer suite 10g because I want to write some GUI with forms. When I start the universal installer and in the dialog box (specify paths - something like that) I push on the button next but nothing happens. Can someone help me with this problem so I can install developer suite on my PC.

I hve installed oracle 11g R.2 in my machine, now when i try to install oracle developer suite 10g directly using setup.exe it becomes not responding. I hve changed the compatibility mode, since getting the same. So i tried with oracle universal installer 11g but it shows an error and stops installing
error :
some components in the stage area have stage version less than 10.2.0.0.0. please ensure that all the components have their stage version greater than or equal to 10.2.0.0.0.
Pls help me to install this. I need oracle forms and reports.

Installing Developer Suite

I am new to Oracle Developer Suite and have just installed the product on a standalone Win XP Pro machine. However, I do not know how to "connect - username, password, database". I remember not completing the "network configuration" installation as I did not understand it.
Can anyone help with some easy to understand instructions?

see your TNSNAMES.ORA (<iDSuite_HOME>\network\admin) and modify it:
MySID =

(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = mysid)
substitute MySID and MyHost and then restart the
Listner service.
You can check it as dos cmd:
lsnrctl statusand you can try to connect:
user: system
password: manager
connectstring: mysid
OR
user: scott
password: tiger
connectstring: mysid

Stuck Installing Developer suite

I have 10g Express edition running on my system. I installed 10g developer suite before(installed successfully), but didnt know how to connect both. so uninstalled 10g Dev. suite. Now I am trying to install it says.
Error in writing to the File C:\windows\system32\mfcans32.dll (Acess Denied).
Before the Oracle Home name = DevSuiteHome.
Now it says Home Name = Default_home1.
Help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to oracle tying to learn.

When installing multiple Oracle products on the same machine, it is always preferable to install them in order of release date.
Install the 10g Devsuite first and than install the XE.Or try to specify a new home during 10g Devsuite installation, that might work as well.

But when I tried to run a test form on web browser after .jar is load
A message appears.

When I check the log file.

This is a critical problem to me.
