Q - will firefox os work on note 3 ( SM-N900 ) ?
if yes - do i need to root my device ?.
and hot do i install it on my device?.

you were talking about Firefox OS not Firefox for Android (hat tip to toddy_victor for telling me !)
anyhow firefox os might work on your Note 3 but it will require lots of technical knowledge, i wouldn't recommend it!
Instead try it on the firefox os app manager:

we only support firefox os on released devices (there are unsupported hacks for the nexus 4 and many other devices that you can find by googling but again they are unsupported and only for those who love geeking about :-) !)

How to install firefox instead of explorer on a freash win xp install

I am rebuilding my win xp pro pc after a trojan horse killed it (it was ugly!). I want to avoid installing Internet Explorer at all and install Firefox as my only browser. How can I get a complete installation file so I can run it from a disc and get on the web without any other browser installed on my computer. I don't know if this is possible or not, but I hope it is. The only other computer that I have is a MAC portable and I can't get to Windows possibilities on the Firefox site. Our company is moving to VDI (VMware View). In this process we would like to make Firefox our default browser. All of the users are not local admins, and therefore all updates end in errors.
Is it not possible to install a firefox that does not tjeck for updates? I beleve that this is a users specific setting, so when a user i assigned a mashine, this setting is set for the user. I need the firefox, not to update, for all users.

I see you're using FIrefox ESR. If that Firefox doesn't have this functionality don't think there is another one that implements this.

You're right! I was able to install the latest 1Password extension 3.8.2 in Firefox 7.0.1. Silly me, I thought the 1Password "6+" meant anything from 6.0 to 6.9. And BTW, Firefox never checked for nor gave me an Upgrade option for the 1Password Add-On which further confused me. Now I don't "need" to install Firefox 6. I'm still curious about it, but it's not worth spending time on.

I suppose that you downloaded the tar.gz file from Mozilla's .com or ftp site. I don't think that it is packaged with an installer. There are several ways to run FF4RC depending on what you want if for. Several of these options can be found in this thread:

I don't really want to fool around with daily builds, and am OK running 3.6 as my default browser until FF4 comes out with its final release. For now, I just extracted my tar.gz file with FileRoller and created a launcher for 4RC on my desktop. This launcher is linked with the ''firefox'' file found within the extracted folder. This isn't much of an answer, but I hope that these links help you get this great browser working on your machines.
