How to install internet explorer5.5

how to install internet explorer 5.5 or above versions in mac so i can run some websites based on it

You can run Windows based applications in your Mac using a software called "Wine" ( http://www.winehq.org/ ) but it requires you have installed also X11. What is X11? It's a crossplatform windowing environement very popular in Linux and Unix systems included as optional installings in your copy of Mac Os X. I'm using Microsoft Explorer 6  in a Macmini with Lion perfectly. I think 5.5 version is harder to work but you can download any version and info in the search field of  Wine website.

how to install internet explorer 8 in windows 8 pc.

    Hi,
Internet Explorer 8 is not compatible to install in Windows 8/8.1 PC.
As Rob suggested, we could use Internet Explorer 10 (In Windows 8) or Internet Explorer 11 (In Windows 8.1) developer tools to emulate IE8,
Using the F12 developer tools; Or build a Virtual Machine.
Besides, here is the download page:
    Internet Explorer 8

I am responding to the second post questioning "Why do you want to do this?"
I am a new Mac user and have just encountered a third part software that does not appear to be supported through Safari; thus I am receiving the following message when I attemt to log onto the system:
"Our system currently supports the following browser versions: Internet Explorer 9, Internet Explorer 8, and Firefox 4 through Firefox 7. We have detected that you are using an unsupported browser. While you still may be able to use the system, depending on the browser, it is possible that you may run into technical issues that we cannot support. Please consider installing one of the browsers listed above to improve your experience with our system."
Bypassing this message only yields a Server Runtime error.
Why don't you just download Firefox, 4 through 7 are supported, or if you insist on using Internet Explorer, use Windows.

    Hi everyone,
I d like to know how to install the internet explorer on my imac. And please let me know whether it is a peace of cake?

If you are asking because some site is requesting it, you can "fake" it by changing the User Agent in Safari to IE.
    To get the Develop menu

Can also be done in Firefox, using an Add-on. Post back if you want to know how.

  • Installing Internet Clients Using Client Push

I've read throught the MS documentation on how to install internet based clients (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg712298.aspx#BKMK_Manual) and it indicates
that they can be installed using client push. So, if I just add the CCMHOSTNAME property in the client push settings I can then use automatic site wide installation? This is assuming the clients already have a certificate installed. I'm confused because it
shows in this article that you must include other properties and even ccmsetup properties such as /usepkicert. You can only use the client msi properties in the client push settings. Would this work with just CCMHOSTNAME? Also, would I have to add SMSSITECODE
since clients won't automatically be assigned a site based on there boundaries?

You can even leave that property out, as long as you're clients are on the intranet during the client installation. During the first policy retrieval the client will get the information about the Internet-facing site system.

  • I need to install Internet Explorer 6 or greater on my iMac to work with a program.  How is the best way to do that?

I need to install Internet Explorer 6 or greater on my iMac (intel processor) running MacOS 10.6.8 to work with a program.  How is the best way to accomplish this?

There is no way.  IE has not been available for the Mac for years now.
Your only option is to install native Windows and use that - either through a bootcamp dual-boot scenario, or use a virtual machine to run windows in (eg. Parallels or VMWare Fusion).  Either way, you will need a full retail install disk for Windows.
P.S. the last version of IE for Mac was for PPC machines, and it was discontinued in 2003.

IE9 is and can be secure and work just fine and I do prefer it to others, but Firefox lets me work in Apple Community easier is all.
Safari still bogs down trying to open multiple tabs, isn't multi-thread efficient, isn't memory efficient or well behaved - beyond the advandages of keeping code in memory it is still a memory hog. Open the same 20 tabs in any other browser is the best way I know. I also don't trust Google that much for security, I consider Google tracking and adsense to be a nuisance. Firefox gives some semblance, especially with add-ons, to tracking, cookies, privacy, and blocking content the best.

  • How do i install internet explorer 11 to my macbook air

How do i install internet explorer 11 to my macbook air

Internet Explorer is for Windows only and could be considered to be malware
Therefore the only options to do this are -
Install Windows in to a virtual machine using either VMware Fusion, Parallels, or VirtualBox, and then you can run Internet Explorer as normal
Or, install Internet Explorer via CodeWeavers "CrossOver Mac" - see http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=12714 however while older versions of Internet Explorer are working newer versions look like they don't work with this method.

How to install latest versions of flash player on computers that have no internet connection?
When I goto 'http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/' , it just keep displaying the following message without any option to download a standalone installer for offline installing:
This content requires a newer version of the Flash Player. Please download and install the latest version of Flash Player from the Windows Update site before continuing.
If you are using the Metro style browser, please confirm you have allowed updates to the Compatibility View list as follows:
    Open IE on the Desktop
From the Tools menu, click Compatibility View settings
Check Download updated compatibility lists from Microsoft
If you don't see the Tools menu, press and hold on the title bar, this will show the context menu, check the Menu bar.

right click in the browser and click the tools button
In the menu that appears, select "view on the desktop"
Once IE launches in the window, do you see your Flash content?

i installed window7 on mac but not able to connect internet. how to install drivers if it needs to be.

if you downloaded driver updates through bootcamp onto flash drive then once windows is installed, open the flash drive in windows. You'll see an application called Setup. Double click on it and it will install all the drivers for wireless and ethernet and usb.
You cant just tell windows to search for driver updates. These EXPERTS aren't telling you this.
