How to install iPlanet Administrative Server while installing iPlanet Web Server Ver 6.0 Service Pack 3 in SUN Ultra 10,Solaris 5.8

We tried to install iPlanet Web Server ver 6.0
Service Pack 3, in Sun Ultra10 Solaris 5.8 machine.
During the time of installation it is giving Error:
Failure installing iPlanet Administration Server
Do you want to continue? if Yes
it starts poceeding with the installation and again gives an Error:
Failure installing Core Java Classes.
Do you want to continue? if Yes
It completes the installation.
But startconsole cannot be executed.
Please send the solution.
May I ask where did you get the bits for iWS 6.0 SP3? The latest version currently available for download is iWS 6.0 SP2.

...I check all the related service and I can see all the related service are up except that the status of Application server is not running and the OracleCSService is in the starting status all the time.

Ias 60 sp2 - install - error message during start up of web server
I am installing ias60 sp2 on solaris 2.6.
I have following issues:
(1)
While installing the ias 60 at the end of the installation while starting
the web server I got the following
error message.

(2) I want to make the ias60 to communicate with the external web server.

installation doc it looks like by installing 'web connector' we can make the
ias communicate with the external web server. Since the setup utility does
not permit selective install how do i install the 'web connector' on the
external web server. I am using the ias60 test drive for the installation.
Is it a limitation on the 'test drive'.

PalaniI'm not sure what the problem is with alloc_thread.
But, yes, the installer limitation is because you are using the TestDrive bits.
TestDrive is designed for ease of installation, and many of the installer
options are not available in TestDrive.

I ve iPhone 5s. Which is on version 7.1.2. The network is stacked on searching text. Even if I removed the sim. The usual "no sim" text is not there. If your Mac has been installing software updates for a long time, Software Update is probably frozen. Hold the Power button until your MacBook Air turns off, and turn it on again. OS X should start up. -

Iplanet 6 - set jdk for specific web server instance
I am running iPlanet 6 with many web server instances. All web server instances are using the same jdk except for one which I must upgrade.
Is there a way to set the jdk for a single web server instance?It is possible in V6.0 too:
1. Copy start-jvm script from https-admserv/ into each https-* that needs a different JVM.
2. Modify it to load the appropriate JVM
3. Modify each https-*/start script to use this new start-jvm script instead of the one in https-admserv.
Frankly speaking it is not my idea and it is not officially documented by Sun but it works! -
An Error Occurred While Communicating with Web Server
We are getting an error message ("An Error Occurred While Communicating with Web Server") when sending data from BPC Excel. Any one konws why it is coming.
We are using ASP.NET version 2.0.50727 in ISS ServerHi,
This kind of error happens when EVDRE status is not Ok.
Even if EVDRE status is OK please make the relevant changes in expansion range--> MemberSet values.

I know my unixODBC can't be working correctly since my isql doesn't work.

How to hide product key page while installing SQL server 2012 ?
I need to hide the product key page while installing SQL server 2012 enterprise edition
I was trying to use the following command
Setup.exe /ACTION=Install /FEATURES=SQL /INSTANCENAME=Intuition /PID=<My product Key.
/IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS
The product key was applied , but the install screen is being shown with the Product key i have provided and it is in editable mode.
Is there any way i can hide this SQL server product key page ?
The reason is we are including SQL setup in our application and as per Microsoft policy we should not reveal the product key to user. If we are able to hide this from installing page , we can hide the installation command in some exe.
Note : Customers need fulfledged versions so we can't install SQLExpress.Hello,

External Web Server links to internal web server on LAN - how to configure?
I'm hoping someone can give me a bit of assistance with some routing configurations:
Currently, I have a Cisco PIX 515E that's handling my VPN and routing/DNS, etc. I'm dumping the PIX (it's overkill for my organization and it's costing too much money for Cisco-certified techs to come in and still not configure it correctly for my needs - long story).
Furthermore, an external website hosted with our ISP links to a public IP (let's say 192.x.x.1) that points through the current PIX firewall, through a DMZ, and then to a webserver hosted locally behind our firewall.
I'd like our Xserve to take over for the PIX, providing VPN access, DNS, etc. and to properly route calls from the web to 198.x.x.1 to the correct server behind out network.
The Xserve has two NIC cards, one on a public IP 192.x.x.2 (for the sake of this discussion) and one with it's internal address of 10.1.0.2 for file sharing, etc.
The internal web server also has 2 NIC cards, one that listens for the links to 192.x.x.1, and one that listens locally on 10.1.0.80 for LAN application services.
How do I configure DNS/etc. on the Xserve to properly channel the incoming calls to 192.x.x.1 to properly reach the server they're supposed to reach?
Any help is appreciated. If more info is needed, I'm happy to provide.

Assuming that the 192.x.x.1 address is a real-world, public IP address that the web server is using, you want all requests from the outside world to go to this address, correct? but requests from the inside world want to go to the 10.1.0.80 address on that server?
That part I get - you want split DNS, which is not trivial to setup, but is manageable. The part I don't get is where the firewall comes in - you're removing the pix and replacing it with an XServe, but the web server has a public IP address in the same range as the XServe's public IP address and on that basis no traffic is going to flow through the firewall.
So I'm not sure if this is a firewall or a DNS question.
Split DNS will handle the internal vs. external traffic going to the different IP addresses of your server. You can't use Server Admin to do this (it can't handle multiple views of the DNS), but it is possible to do by hand.
The firewall element stumps me, though - but if the XServe is going to run as the firewall you might just find it easier to put the web server behind the firewall and forget the whole DMZ concept.
Then again, you could get the PIX operating correctly - it's a viable firewall appliance and I'd be surprised if it couldn't do what you want here. -
How do I change OS X (10.5.4) web server port?

I'm trying to change the OS X web server port from port 80 to something else. In 10.4 I did this via modifying the httpd.config file in /private/etc/httpd/ but this doesn't work in 10.5 — no matter what I set the port to in the config file, it still only connects for port 80 (and yes, I've restarted Apache)?!?
Anyone know how to do this under 10.5?
