Hi,
First you need to add the JSTL jars(jstl-api-x.x.jar and jstl-impl-x.x.jar) to the lib dir under your WEB-INF tomcat dir and then, to use it on a JSP page make sure the follwing line is added before the <HTML> tag.

i wrote an article about installing listener but then the latest version of listener at time was 1.x . check the following

listener now is at 2.x and a few steps such as configuration of properties have changed. you no longer have to create users such as adminlistener and the listenerAdmin page isnt there anymore.

read Contents . this is oracle's documentation for listener configuration. this is good. let me know if you need some help in understanding some step in this
once listener is configured, configuring it for pdf download is very easy.

How to install solaris with downloaded binary.

dear all members,
I had downloaded solaris 8 binary in winnt, i found that it is a zip file containing one file with file extension .ml (sol-8-1_01-install-fcs-bin-ia-ml). How to install? need to format hardisk? what partition tool to use? where to get startup disk? need to write a CD? Where to get best docs available for beginer????

AS10GR1(INF+BI) + AS10GR3 - how to install - probelm with deploying appl..

I've got following configuration:
MS W2003srv 2xXeon3.2GHz + 2GB RAM
iAS10GR1(9.0.4) - Infrstructure
and on the same machine
iAS10GR1(9.0.4) - BI (Reports and Discoverer)
Now I need to install iAS10GR3 (10.1.3) - because of Java 1.4.
How to do it in the fastest way and assume that I can't reinstall iAS10GR1.
When I install option with http server, opmn etc ...
I've tested single installation of iAS10GR3 and I can deploy and test my WebServices. When I install Release 3 on the same machine with Release1 everything is ok - I can deploy webservices but I can't test them.
I can prepare mesg to test via web page and in the invoking moment theres no action.
In apache log of R3 there's
10.10.1.18 - - [16/May/2006:17:18:51 +0200] "POST /WebServices/SRV_PLANY_ZAMOWIEN_STATUSSoapHttpPort HTTP/1.1" 500 5
What could suggests that there is a problem with apache configuration (in fact thera 3 instances of apaches)
However when I checked status of ports in every apache instance
opmn\bin\opmnctl status -l
I didn't notice that there's any ports conflicts - installer prepared ports quite pretty that they should coexists.
Any suggestions?

First, I noticed that I posted a mesg at Portal forum .. if a moderator would by nice - move this topic to proper forum, please.
And I configured succesfully ... however I made two things and I have to test it
one more time - I installed a patchset2 to iAS10GR1 to version 9.0.4.2
and I deinstall iAS10GR3 and choose an instaling option without http server.
Now I can deploy and test webservices and every previous functionality (reports and discoverer) works fine ...

How to install SEC with OCMS version 10.1.3.4

It is said that when install, select customer install and select SCE in install guide of OCMS, but actually when in install l progress, only allow to select component ,such as presence, proxy registrar. No entry for selecting SCE.

Hi,
Firstly the SUBJECT of your question reads SEC in place of SCE and it is a CUSTOM install not a CUSTOMER Install.
Coming to answer your question, if you find the latest install guide, you wont see the SCE pre and post install etc in it. SCE has been taken off OCMS. OCCAS (Oracle Communications Converged Application Server) will be the Execution platform of SIP from now on. OCMS Applications too would be merged into OCCAS.

How to install patches with .bin extension

I have downloaded Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_07_sparc.bin patches, but how can
i install this ?? It is not like .tar.gz.....Help

Did you download the patches or the JDK kit?
Based on the file you said you downloaded it looks like you downloaded the whole JDK 1.2.2_07 kit. If you wish to install this all you have to do is download or move the file to where you want it to install and change the permissions on the file so you can execute it (chmod 755 Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_07_sparc.bin) then in a terminal just type:
#Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_07_sparc.bin.
This will install it for you. Make sure you update your path and any links that might be pointing to older versions of the JDK to the new JDK you just installed.
If you it was the patches you ment to download the file you download should look something like "1.2.2_07_patches_sparc_OSVERISON.tar"
to see what patches you have installed in a terminal type:
#showrev -p
To install the patches you need to extract the patch archives you wish to install. And then issue the following command:
#patchadd -M <your_patch_directory> <patch-id>
Please also consult the README files that come along with the patches as they might be of use to you also.

Until now I'm using SqlDeveloper with Georaptor. A fine combination. Specially for Pl/Sql-development.
I want to explore JDeveloper and Spatial-data, for Web J2EE-development.
Questions:
Can Georaptor be combined with JDeveloper (and how)?
JDeveloper has an OC4J pre-installed, as Mapviewer (demos) has too. How to combine these two OC4J-isntallations to one OC4J-installation?
Any reaction will be appreciated.

Hi, GeoRaptor is extension of Oracle SQL Developer(http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/sql_developer/index.html).
And SQL Developer is not part of JDeveloper. I think it is not possible to install GeoRaptor to JDeveloper.

How to install 10gAS with RAM 1G ?

The Oracle 10gAS (Infrastructure) installation stop me when my PC has only 512M of RAM. How can I overcome this? It's too expensive to have 1G of RAM just for a testing.
In the same machine if I switch to use Linux, I can install 10gAS without any problems.
Please advice.

A repository database and lots of other services will be created in the Infrastructure. Running this requires just about 1GB RAM. To that you've to add memory consumed by the OS and other programs which are running.
Even if it worked installing on a PC with 512MB it must be very slow. Occasionally some services will hit timeouts etc.
Testing under this enviroment doesn't really make sence.

PS. A 512MB DDR-RAM only costs $40-70. A days work is much more expensive (I presume)

I have to downgrade some packages (linux package due to ath5k problem), but pacman won't allow me because of the signatures.
I downloaded the packages i need from here http://schlunix.org/archlinux/.
These packages are safe to install? How can i bypass the signature check, if these packages are safe to install?

If you have a pgp key, you can sign the packages with your own key. You can do this by editing /etc/makepkg.conf, adding your key to the GPGKEY="" section and enabling the sign option in the BUILDENV section. When building the package, it'll then be signed with your personal key. Afterwards import your key in pacman (pacman-key -r <yourkey>), assign the proper trust level and you're good to go.
A workaround is to temporarily set "SigLevel = Never" in your /etc/pacman.conf (and hence disabling keysigning).
EDIT: I just bothered to actually check your link and you'll be installing prebuilt binaries, so my first explanation doesn't apply there (you won't be building anything). So just setting SigLevel to Optional or Never (temporarily) should do.

How to install OS9 with OS X?

Okay, here goes. I got a Titanium Powerbook 400mhz from my sister, she gave it to me because NOTHING worked. So, I bought a used DVD-Rom drive, a used battery, and using Firewire Target mode, I wiped the hard drive and did a clean install of OS 10.3.9 with the DVD from my G5 tower. So, here's my question, can I simply install a copy of OS 9 onto the same drive without disrupting my current OS 10.3.9? I'd like OS 9 on there so my kids can play their games, the majority of which are OS 9. Any help would be great, thanks.

Yes, you can install OS 9 onto the same volume. However, when you initially formatted the drive you had an option to install Mac OS 9 drivers. If you did not choose that option then you can only use OS 9 through the OS X Classic emulator. You cannot boot directly into OS 9 unless the OS 9 drivers were installed when the drive was formatted.
To install the Mac OS 9 drivers you would need to re-partition the drive which is a destructive process that will remove all the data currently installed.
There is afirmware update needed for your particular model. The update must be installed while booted directly into OS 9.1 or higher. You may want to check with your sister to find out if the update has already been installed.
