How To Install Live Type In 10.8.3

Hi My self Varun, My English is not Good.
I am using 10.8.3
and i have Final Cut Studio 2.0 (48.52 GB)
1st i installed rosetta from my 10.6 installer
In 10.6 DVD there is a folder name Optional Installs.mpkg, run it and install rosetta, bcoz FCS 2 works with power pc and rosetta is a part of Power pc.
install rosetta.
Then Run FCS 2
first this window will open
Press OK
then this window is open
and finaly this window will appear
If u need only Live Type so uncheck the otheres, then install it.
After installing Live Type there is no live font in it, So you have to Run the other components of Live Type from FCS 2 folder
and Enjoy!

I haven't tested it properly but it opens and the animated fonts appear to work so I would imagine everything else will.
It's only a tiny app even with the fonts etc. so it won't take 5 minutes to load . . . then you can find out for yourself.
iDVD also works pefectly in Mountain Lion and produces the best quality DVDs that I know, and to anyone about to tell me DVDSP is better, I can only say that my hi-def videos put onto standard DVD are better and more artifact free than anything I achieved in DVDSP in over 4 years of use and experimenting.

There is a LiveType (or LiveFonts) content section in the Library in Motion 4 (but NOT Motion 5 - LiveType is obsolete, much to my chagrin...) - but you can still import LiveType projects into Motion 4 just as you could in Motion 3 - a simple drag'n'drop from the finder will do; or use Import from the file menu.

I was just refreshing myself by one of the FCP dvds from magent media where Even Schechtman show his window of External Editors in System Settings.
I have the latest FCP version but that line which reads "Live Type" in external editor window is missing. Though he didnt discuss anything on the dvd but made me curious of my observation.
How Can I add Live Type message box which can be checked in External editor Window?

This is something specific to FCP4.x ... it does not appear in FCP5.x
Final Cut Pro HD: LiveType does not appear in the External Editors tab
Under some circumstances, the External Editors tab (choose Final Cut Pro HD > System Settings) in Final Cut Pro HD does not display a setting for "LiveType Movie Files."
This can happen if you installed Final Cut Pro HD from a new Final Cut Pro HD disc, as opposed to installing it from an upgrade. If you upgraded from Final Cut Pro 4 to Final Cut Pro HD, you will not have this issue. If you upgraded from an earlier version of Final Cut Pro using an upgrade disc, you will not have this issue.
You can still add LiveType files to the timeline even if LiveType does not appear in the External Editors tab. The behavior may be slightly different, depending on whether you add a LiveType project file or a LiveType movie file to the Timeline.
If you add a LiveType project file (for example, MyProject.ipr) to the Timeline and then choose to open it in an External Editor, the file will open automatically in LiveType as a LiveType project.
If you add a rendered LiveType movie file to the Timeline and then choose to open it in an External Editor, the file will open in the Editor you've selected for Video Files (in the External Editors tab) or in QuickTime Player if none is selected.
In summary, "LiveType Movie Files," only appears if you upgrade to Final Cut Pro HD from an earlier version of Final Cut Pro 4. It is not required in the External Editors beacuse a LiveType project file will automatically open in the LiveType application and a movie rendered from LiveType will automatically open in QT Player.

How to install Movable Type?

I want to move a Movable Type installation from a Linux server to OS X Server (Mountain Lion, Server 2.1.1). However, it appears that the standard httpd.conf file is not to be touched, and the preferred method is to make changes to some subordinate file. Has anyone installed Movable Type on Mountain Lion server, and if so, how and where did you enter the settings to allow the cgi and php to function proeprly?

the configuration template is only visible, if the usage type "DI" is active for the system. Note 1142136 explains how to activate usage types manually. Should work for 7.10/7.11, too.

OK, this might be slightly different as I'm in Motion 3
You can do this a few ways
1) Click on the LiveFonts icon in the library and start typing on the canvas -you might need to hiot play to see anything as it will be at the top of the animation
2) With text already on the canvas, click the font type to LiveFonts in the Format section of the Text tab in the inspector

How to install Live cache in SCM 5 for APO

Hi gurus...
i have recently installed scm 5 on windows 2003 server with sp1 ,oracle 10g as database..
i have entered trans lc10 and saved it.
now when i click on livecache monitoring it's showing errors like this
LiveCache :display error log
Name and server      :MMS-skynet
DBMRFC Function :DBM_Connect
Error                      : DMB error
Return Code           : -4
Error Message        :database instance not found...
any help will be grateful to me as i am struggling to find a solution for this problem

Imac won't let me install Final cut studio 2..it will let me install the upgrade, but it has no live type and i need it to work on my current projects. How do I get Live type back installed in iMac

I just purchased an iMac for home and went to install final cut studio 2 and it gave me an error saying something about "PowerPC" not used or something like that. Installed the studio upgrade just fine...but it has no "Live Type" which I need to work on projects I have been using in my Mac Pro at my work place. How do I get "Live Type" to install in this iMac? Downloaded Live Type upgrade but that won't update cause there's no "Live Type" in the applications.

It sounds like you have Lion installed on your new imac, although your profile says SL 10.6.8 (you may want to change this.)
If you have the Snow Leopard install disc I believe you can install "Rosetta" from the extras folder which will then, if you have the original FCS2 discs , allow you to select and install Live Type and LIve Type content only from the custom install options.

we are using SCM 4.0 with live cache build 7.4.3 on two differnt servers.
I have checked the Live cache CD (7.4.3) is with setup.cmd, where as it need use command sapinst.exe SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=Virtual hostname.
Please advise.

a possible workaround (that I have no tested) is to temporarily name your server with the same of the virtual name, install. when completed, rename server to original name.
This is not a proven method, but it might work.

HOW TO INSTALL REAL ICSr6 in Live With Walkman

First of all i rooted my phone with the simple steps mentiond by nabeel in http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/41119?start=0&tstart=0
After root my phone i download the real icsr6 from the xdadevelopers site and also i done the CWM mode in my phone.
then copy the realICSr6 in SDcard and reeboot it in CWM mode

but while installing the ICSr6 in CWM mode i stuck in one place idont know which one should i select. There is an option to instal with Locked Bootloder and Unloked boot loder.
Itried both the loked and unloked bootloder
but after installing with locked bootloder i rebooted the phone then it shows SONY logo then it get stuck in ANDROID logo then continousely restaring the phone.
With the unlocked bootloder it stuck in SONY logo. and then contionousely rebooting.
Please help me to instal the real ICSr6 with the step by step process.

I successfully installed the Real ICSr6 in my LWW.
Below i am mentioning the steps to how to install Real ICSr6, i think it may be helpfull to somebody to install this.
First of all u should root your phone, Then install the CWM mode, then fastboot the kernel, and then install the Real ICS r6 from SDcard.
How to Root LWW or Xperia 2011 series mob's.

For installing the Real ICSr6 u should unlock the bootloder. For unlocking the boot loder for Xperia 2011 series phone u should get the unlocking code from the sony mobile site (http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/ ) follow this link and get the unlocking bootloder code.
For unlocking the boot loder Download the "fastboot" drivers from here. Install them accordingly.
Turn off your phone. Wait for 30 seconds. Connect your phone to the PC while keeping the volume up key pressed. Your phone's LED will lit blue (indicating fastboot mode).
Head over to the location where you kept the previously unzipped fastboot folder. Right click while keeping pressed the SHIFT key on the folder and select "Open command prompt here"
Type fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version to ensure your have entered bootloader mode (you will get version on java example, 0.3)
Type fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY (replace KEY with unlock code you got from Sony's website earlier)

After downloading this.
Open the flash tool that u earlier installed for rooting ur mobile.
Click on the lightning bolt sign and select "Fastboot mode" and click OK.
Switch off ur Mobile and press the Vol UP key and connect it ur computer. Now your phone is in fast boot mode.
Now Click on "select kernel to flash" in Flashtool.
Browse to the folder where you placed the *.img file and select it.
Flashtool will install the kernel into your phone. Disconnect your phone from the PC. Wait 30 seconds.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now successfully install the KERNEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Installing The Custom ROM (Real ICSr6)
First of all copy the Real ICSr6 file in ur phones SDcard.
Then Turn your phone on. When you see the Sony or Sony Ericsson logo on the screen, keep pressing the volume down key. It will take you to the CWM recovery mode, which was installed automatically with the kernel.
Use the volume up and down keys to navigate through menu items and the Home key for selecting.
Do a full wipe (format data, system, cache, Dalvik cache and battery cache).
Choose "install from SD card" and then select "choose zip file". Select the ROM file first (MiniCMSandwich Lite Final v4).
It will take you to the very much intuitive Aroma installer, which is very easy and much like installing an operating system on your PC.
After finishing the installation, your phone will reboot. While rebooting, enter the CWM Recovery again using the volume down key.
This time, do not wipe anything. Just select "install zip from SD card" and point to the wifi modules zip file. Similarly, install the Google Apps zip file.
Turn off your phone from the CWM Recovery menu.
Turn on your phone, first boot may take a long time, do not worry.
Now you should get a pure AOSP flavor in your Xperia device.

Live Type How do you get a transparent background?

Im trying to create just text for FCP using Live Type, but no matter what I do when I export the Live Type movie, Its exporting with a black background. I went into the settings and changed everything around and tried everything. Opacity levels, render background, etc.. I either get the color I choose or black when it should be transparent. I know there has to be a way to just creat text with no background. Much help needed!

When you render your movie, make sure you don't have the "render background" box checked.
Once your movie is rendered it is displayed with text over a black backgournd but rest assured when you put your rendered .mov text into Final Cut it will have an alpha channel and not a black background.

How to install Additional Software Units or Usage Types in an Existing SAP

We have a Netweaver 7.0 EPH1 with JAVA, EP and EPC intallation,but i need install additional usage type BI JAVA and NWDI.
Copy the downloaded SCAs in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in and when execute JSPM - option Additional usage type installation, this not show usages type .
according to the installation guide, this is the procedure.

Hi,
Once you have correctly extracted and put the files in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in, you need to run JSPM and select the option of additional usage types.
Next, select the desired stack from the inbox. Click Next.
JSPM shows the currently installed usage types and those of the new usage types in the stack, which are part of the active product on the system and all of their dependencies are fulfilled. They can have different status:
Available u2013 the usage type is already active in the system. These usage types are automatically skipped.
OK u2013 the usage type can be installed on the system. Specify whether to install or skip the usage type in the Action column.
Revise u2013 the usage type cannot be installed on this system. Click the Show Details button for more information. These usage types are automatically skipped.
Not Supported - the usage type is not supported by JSPM.
Can you tell us what is the status of the usage types visible to you? Are the new usage types having a different status or are they not completely visible at all? If that is the case, you may want to check whether the files that you have downloaded are correct or not and also check whether these are correctly extracted and placed in the right folder.
