How To Install Multiple OBIEE Instances On One Linux Machine

Hi,
OS: Red Hat ES 5.2
OBIEE : 10.1.3.4
We one development server(Linux) where one OBIEE 10.1.3.4 was installed with os user as 'ora1a' (Deployed on Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.4)
and now I have installed OBIEE 10.1.3.4 on same Linux Server with different user(ora2b) and different mount point (Deployed on Another Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.4 )
But My OBIEE was not working and I came to know that only one can be working by default.
After following few notes i have update NQSConfig.inc and odbc.ini with different ports ie from 9704 to 9725 and bounced BI server and presentation server
But still its not working can any one tell me what are all needs to update to make it work

I was not much clear about what you are telling
See my first OBIEE instance URL is http://hostname18.oracle.com:7777/analytics (As i deployed OBIEE on Application server 10g(OAS1))
and second one is http://hostname18.oracle.com:7778/analytics (As i deployed OBIEE on another Application server 10g(OAS2))
Also My port for first OBIEE instance is 9704 and second one is 9725(Which i changed to this)
Now tell me what are all i should update

While it is possible to share the MDS schema,
you have to create one BIPLATORM schema for each instance you install !

I currently am working at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, MO and my question is: How do I install multiple KMS keys onto one server? This is very urgent and I have the KMS activating Windows 7 but, I also need all my Office keys, Windows
8, and Windows 8.1 to be activated via KMS. the current KMS is a Windows Server 2008 R2 server. Please help me out and thank you for your time! :)

you need to apply the following update (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2885698)to your KMS server so you can license up to Windows 8.1. From there your key for 8.1/2012R2 will license everything
downwards and then you can also install your Office KMS key without issue. If its Office 2013 then you need to download the files here (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35584)

How can I create multiple component instances for one component usage.
I'm using the following code for creating a single component instance for specific component usage:
if(c_Usage.hasActiveComponent())
c_Usage.deleteComponent();
if(wdContext.currentContextElement().getSelectedTab().equalsIgnoreCase("Registered"))
c_Usage.createComponent("health.gov.registered.Registered";);
I can't create one more component instance for
IWDComponentUsage c_Usage
cause I have to delete the component instance associated with this component usage.
Any idea how can I do it anyway?

Hi,
To create another instance of the same component you need to embed the same component under the Used Components more then once. For Example if you have Componet A to which you want to embed Component B then under "Used Components" of Component A add component B twice.

Multiple tomcat instances in one zone

I would like to install multiple tomcat instances in the same zone. the first instance starts without an issue. The second instance fails and gives an error message that it 'could not reserve enough space for object heap'. We are able to run multiple instances of tomcat on our solaris servers without a problem. Is there something I'm missing or is this a feature of zones? I've tried it in two separate zones with the same result.

Don't set the environment variable in your profile, that sets the env variable the same in every terminal session you launch. You need to set the WSHOME variable differently in each terminal depending on which instance you are working with.
I believe that should work.

Hi Lakshmi,
The best way to do it is to assign all the three RFC Enabled FM's to one function group. Later on the top menu in Utilities you get an option to Create a Webservice from a Function Group.
You can create one single Webservice using all the the 3 FM's.

I wonder if I can setup multiple airport base stations talking to each other under the same network to build up the signal strength will help solve this problem. But, is it possible? How?

I have an installation scenaro is install SCS/CI in machine A, and DB instance on a already exist cluster. This is based on Windows 2003 SR2 and SQL Server 2005 cluster. But now after i finish SCS, i don't know how to install the DB instance. Do i just need sign in the active node of the DB cluster and start the sapinst.exe. I am worry about any of my mis-action will broke the cluster.. Appreciate any tips or idea about it, thanks.

Hi,
How to combine multiple Unmanaged Solution to one single Managed solution.?
There were some other third party developer have kept things lik ein UAT there are 2 release solution and both are Managed Solution.
And in Production the changes are only deployed for release 1 and for the release 2 changes deployment needs to be done.
But when i import that second release Managed Solution from UAT to Production then i got number of elements missing but i have checked they are already there in Soolution.
I did some R&D on this but not much helpful.
I thought i require to convert Unmanaged Solution of Production environment to Managed first for first release and then needs to import Managed solution of UAT to Production for second release.
Is this the right way to overcome form this situation?
Any help and response would be really appreciated.

I guess it's a pretty noobish question but I wonder how to install multiple packages
that have the same prefix with Pacman.
To make myself more clear, I like to install all gstreamer packages and for that I would
like something similar to
pacman -S gstreamer10*
Is there a command that does something like this available? Found nothing in the man pages.
Maybe some tricky stuff with pipes?

You can address the problem in a number of different ways.
You can install X-windows from the installation DVD or setup access to the Oracle public software repository as described in http://public-yum.oracle.com. In which case, the command to install X-windows is: yum groupinstall "X Window System"
Or, you login remotely and and use SSH with X-forwarding, in which case the software on the server will use the X-Windows server on your client system. This is probably the preferred way since you do not have X-windows installed on the server. have you tried using open motif 2.1.30?
the open motif version that comes with the redhat 7.3 is 2.2 and is not compatible with 6i. Once I used open motif 2.1.30 it worked fine. The environment variable setting is very similar to any other unix version. Ensure that you are also intalling the latest patch (10) for 6i (fixed lots of problems).
