How to install obiee 11.1.1.6.9(can you suggest plz)

Hi every one,
I have not done this before, can any one help me how to get this done .
I am using Secure CRT, and current version using :-11.1.1.6.6 , but I wanted to include are patch 11.1.1.6.9 to the existing version. and it is for linux-64 bit.
can any one please tell me how to start. and also let me know if you need any further information on it.

follow this doc http://www.rittmanmead.com/2012/07/applying-patches-to-obiee-11-1-1-6-2-bp1/ similarly for 11.1.1.6.9. Just download the patches(from patches and updates tab) as below:
type the patch number in search box and select the obiee 11.1.1.6.0 version. The below patches are for 11.1.1.6.9
This is a cumulative bundle patch to go on top of current 11.1.1.6.X releases (excluding FA 11.1.1.6.3.X).

Note:
The Readme files for the above patches describe the bugs fixed in each patch, and any known bugs with the patch.
This patch is cumulative, and therefore, contains all of the fixes included in the earlier 11.1.1.6.2, 11.1.1.6.4, 11.1.1.6.5, 11.1.1.6.6, 11.1.1.6.7 and 11.1.1.6.8 patch sets.
However, lists of fixes from included patch sets need to be looked up in the respective patches' readme files, and are not included in the above patches' readme files.
The instructions to apply the above patches are identical, and are contained in the readme file for Patch 16287811
Please bear in mind, that the readme states to apply Patch 13952743 for JDeveloper, too.

Create The Extension Segment
Transaction: WE31
The first step in extending an IDoc is to create the new segments that will go into that IDoc. There are some rules that you need to follow when creating the segments:
- The name of each segment type must start with Z1
- For each field in the segment you need to define a field name and a
data element.
- The data element for the segment structure must be of data type CHAR.
How to create new segments:
Run the segment maintenance transaction WE31.
Type your new segment name, and click on Create.
Define the fields of your segment:
Field name
Data Element for the field (from the ABAP dictionary).
Do not change the Export length!
Save the segment
Run Segment -->Check to check the segment for consistency.
Release the segment for transport. Select Edit -->Set Release. Note that the Release column now has a check mark.
Create the Extension IDoc Type
Transaction: WE30
After you create the segments to be added to the extension type, you can create the extension type itself. Execute transaction WE30, enter the extension name, select Extension type, and click Create. You now have three options:
Create new type: Does not refer to other extension types
Create copy: Copies info from an extension type that already exists
Create successor: Extends an extension type from a previous release
of R/3. You can only have one version of an extension type for
each release.
Enter the Basic IDoc type that this extension type will extend.
The screen now shows the structure of the IDoc type you used as
a reference.
Position the cursor on one of the segments and click Create. This will insert an extension segment as a child of the selected segment.
NOTE: A segment cannot appear more than once in an IDoc type! You must control the use of duplicate segments with the segment attributes (the next screen).
The segment attribute screen appears. Enter the information and save.
Extension segments should not be mandatory (for future upgrades), and will need to have minimum and maximum number of instances defined. This answers the question, for each instance of the parent segment, how many instances of the child segment may we have?
You can press the Segment Editor pushbutton to view or change the segment definition.
Create the new Message Type
You can only use an extension IDoc type by assigning it to a message type. You can create a new message type for this.
First the message type itself needs to be created.
Transaction: WE81
Create a new entry and save. Use SAP established customer naming conventions (good form is to start with a Z and retain the rest of the related SAP message type, so, for example, MATMAS becomes ZMATMAS).
After creating the message type, associate it with the corresponding Basic IDoc Type and Extension Type. This relationship is used when IDocs are sent to or received from a partner to determine what segments are valid and what the hierarchy for those segments is.
Transaction: WE82
Create a new entry and enter the Message type, Basic IDoc type, Extension type, and Release, and save your data. Note: the release assignment is not valid for prior SAP releases.
One message type can be associated with many basic IDoc types; however, you need a one-to-one relationship for distribution via ALE.

Go to spro->MM->purchasing->PO->Define screen out at document -> select NBF ->Reference data, header->set field Reference, salesperson etc. as mandatory.

Because an iPhone warranty is only good in the country of purchase. You will have to take it back to the USA or send it to someone there to have them take it to an Apple store.

If you don't have access to the computers to manually deauthorize them (they were sold, stolen, etc), then you have to log into your account, deauthorize all computers, and then re-authorize the machine(s) that you want to have access. This page explains how.

Thanks for the link, but I am referring the same to install OBIEE.
The pre-requisites section says :
Client operating systems:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 3 or later
- Microsoft Windows 2003 Professional with Service Pack 1 or later (32-bit only)
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 or later
Server operating systems:
- For Oracle BI Server: Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4/2003 Server
Thats why I wonder if I can install client and server on the same machine with Windows XP ?

I have OBIEE 11 G setup at my window machine. Now i need to install it on Unix box.
One way is to copy the setup on unix box and install it. But copeing is time taking.
Is there any way ---I can open windows file at unix box and run installer.

Your requirement is not clear.
What my understand is you have obiee 11g setup in your laptop.
Are you installed virtual box in your laptop and are you installed Unix in the virtual box? Please conform?

How to Install Windows 7 or 8 to Imac if you have never owned these OS's before?

Hi Guys / Girls.
I hope someone can help me.
I recently bought a new Imac (no optical drive). My OS is Mountain Lion.
I have seen many topics / videos on how to install Windows 7 or Windows 8 on my Imac, however I have a problem!
I don't own a copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8.
Where can I buy and download it legally?
I tried the Microsoft website, but I can't find windows 7?
The download for Windows 8 is only an upgrade if you already have Windows 7.
Is there a way that I can buy and download the full version of Windows 8 without Windows 7?
Or can I download Windows 7 from somewhere?
The other option I have is I have an old Windows XP installation disc.
Can I some how bump this up to Windows 8 and then use bootcamp to install to my Mac?
I'm not sure which will be the best way to install the new Windows 8 to my Imac.

Well, a lot of questions here.
The reason you cannot download Windows 7 from Microsoft is that they discontinued it as a download in December 2012.
There are places you can download Windows 7 but probably not 100% legal - so I won't say anything more about these. However, you can still buy genuine versions via Amazon.
As you say, a full (non-upgrade) version of Windows 8 (actually 8.1 now) is not available from Microsoft as a download. Even if it was, it would be $200+
I suspect that your most economical option is to invest in a cheap USB CD/DVD drive to connect to your iMac and install XP under Boot Camp to see if you like the way it works. You could then decide if you want to upgrade.
You can upgrade to Windows 8.1 (about $120 for upgrade) from XP either by download or buying the upgrade discs - cost will be similar and if you already have the drive, then it will be straightforward installation. Again, copies available via Amazon.

If you want to install the business content data source in ECC system.
1)     First go to RSA9, you will get a screen to continue with transfer application component hierarchy. Proceed with Yes.
2)     RSA5
3)     Search for your data source provided by SAP(application specific)
4)     Select and click on Activate button.
5)     You can see all the BI content activated data sources in the transaction RSA6.
6)     If you need any changes(enhancements), do them in RSA6 and activate.
If the datasource is a logistics datasource, you have to fill the set up tables as per the application, and then check data in RSA3.
7)     BW side replicate the data source and install the BI Content objects, DSO, ICs, transformations, DTP, IP etc all the objects related to the data flow.
