I have some problems to install my Mavericks from Snowleopard ver. 10-6-8. I can`t activated the icom "install" in the appstore?

OGELTHORPE NOTHING CHANGE, is the same when i restart and holding OPTION+COMMAND+R keys.
is going again to OS X Utilies and can't do any think!
is OS X Mavericks is free? but why when i want to reinstall OS X is ask to sign in to apple id, and when i sign with my apple id is not working!

How do I install OS X Mavericks on a Macbook that wont even start up?

I got on it this morning, it booted up fine. Then stopped responding.
So I turned it off, and turned it back on.
It refused to open the operating system. Just kinda sat there with the Apple logo and the spinny 'loading' wheel.
I ended up in Online Internet Recovery, since my recovery system wouldn't work.
And I'm pretty sure I just deleted the operating system off of my mac.
Because I had no other option.
I don't have discs. I bought the darn thing a little over 2 weeks ago off ebay.
So I'm putting it back through the online recovery since when I retired restarting it, it told me it couldn't find the operating system.
(Folder with the question mark flashing)
If I open online recovery, can I possibly install OS X Mavericks onto my laptop and start all this over again?
I'm at the point where I don't care that I lost everything. I just want the darn thing to work, since I have limited options it seems.
If you have any idea on how to help, I'd really appreciate it.

Since the item was bought via Ebay.

If you bought the machine new yourself, and did not enter a password when configuring it, leave the field blank.

Thanks Carolyn. Unfortunately, this didn't work. It turned out to be in my display monitor as I have my computer wired to my tv for streaming. Once I changed the monitor display it worked fine. Go figure

I have a small network of imacs that I need to upgrade to Mavericks. I have mavericks installed on the admin computer. How do I get it onto all the other machines, which are not connected to the internet ?

Your best method is to make an installer disk onto an 8 GB USB disk. You need to have the Installer app downloaded from the App Store.
There are lots of web pages devoted to the instructions, but in essence, you need to run the following command:
sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app --nointeraction
The createinstallmedia command is inside the Mavericks installer app; the untitled volume is the USB disk.
You'll need to download the installer again if you've already run it, as installed Mavericks deletes the installer app. If you keep the app on an external disk, it wont get deleted, and will get updated if you download a newer version at a later date! You will of course have to change the filepaths in the command above if you move it.

How do you mean it isn't showing the external drive? If you mean on the desktop, click Finder on the menu bar, Preferences, General and check the boxes for Show these items on the desktop - make sure hard drives is checked.
If you mean it is not showing in Finder or Disk Utility, make sure it is turned on, reboot and see if that mounts it so it shows up.
