How to install P1102w Printer on win server 2003 without connecting the printer

i have to insatall p1102w printer on my server 2003 to print from my client pc witch the p1002w locally connected when i use remote desktop connection.
does anyone knows how to.

The P1102w is an Host-Based printer, any host-based printer does not support Citrix / Terminal Services / RDP connection.

You may try installing the drivers on the client itself and check if that may work..

The P1102 is an Host-Based printer, it do not support remote printing such as Cireix, Terminal Services or ODP Printing.

How to check NTP source from win.server 2003?

Hello,
I have question about NTP. I have two NTP servers. Our two DC's are sync with NTP through GPO group.
Please how can i check, if NTP deamon on my Windows Server 2003 is sync with DC server? This server is in the domain.
And all others servers (2008) in domain are sync with the DC - w32tm /query /status
I checked it on win. server 2003 also, with this command net time /querysntp, but the response was not from my DC. Please where should be the problem?

Win Server 2003 DC repair the Schema owner

I prepare a new server on Win 2012 R2 64b to add to our DC, with 2 Win Server 2003 R2 32b.
At the begin, I view the configuration of the actuel DC / W2003, but I see some trouble :

is the Schema Owner, but is deleted.
That means that you have an object that was removed and that was not properly cleaned. Is the server SUSLAB still existing? If not then simply proceed with a metadata cleanup and seize the Schema Master FSMO role to another DC.

If the server still exist then I would recommend demoting and promoting it again.

How to install rootsupd.exe on windows server 2003?

hello
i need to update the root certificates. but i can't use "rootsupd.exe", it's only for windows xp...
there doesn't seems to be a similar update for windows server 2003, correct?
how can i solve my problem, do i need to install the certificates manually? if yes, how does this work?

Installing Single Box OCS WIN Server 2003

To All:
I would like to evaluate Sinle Box OCS on windows server 2003 but I am having difficulty setting up and starting the OCS services.
I assume I have to remove the ORACLE_HOME env variable as well as place some services in manual per Thread 280554 but when I try are start services such Oracle Calendar Corporate services, and all the other calendar services I get errors as well as with Oracle OLAP 9.0.1.1, and othe webcache services. Is there a script out there that starts all the services in a logical order and can someone explain what services I should start first and so on so forth? Also, during the install or actually later stages of the auto configuartion, I got some error messages especially in the Infrastructure Tool of the MTIER phase: Error message as follows

In the past, I tried to install release 1 of the collaboration suite on Linux...and even if I managed to reach the end of the installation process, i found huge problems running some components.
Now that the release 2 is out i'd like to give it a go again, but this time i'd like to start with the windows version.

We have 10 machines running Windows server 2003 SP2. These machines are ISA servers kept in DMZ.
So these servers do not have internet access any any means. We are receiving Non compliance for not patching them for specific .NET framework patches. We have installed them but still the Scanning tools says it is not installed.
We have planned to check it through Windows update but as it is in DMZ there is no Internet connection and we also cannot push through WSUS server as well.
Is there any way we can get the update package in Bulk so we can manually patch them rather than manually downloading them 1 by one and installing them ?

To achieve your goal, I suggest you set up a WSUS server on the disconnected network, then exporting updates and metadata from a
WSUS server on a connected network and importing all that information into the WSUS server on the disconnected network.

Post installation Error while installing EBS 11i on Win server 2003

Hi All,
can soembody give the guidens to resolve the below error please....!!!
I have done the below steps while installing
I have been following the below steps to install the EBS 11i,
1.installed in Win20003 server edition
2.VC++ and copyind the link file into windows\system32,
3.GNU make done the path set everything,
4.MKS tool kit,
5IP config and installing MS loopback,
---------->I have not installed the JDK<--------
started the installtion direct from the DVDs,
Pre-Installtion everything was OK,
but after done everything I got struck last min, where the popup window appeared as login page responding but i did wait for 30 min and nothing has
happened.
So closed and I restarted the System and I have restarted process putting 1st DVD and given the command rapidwiz -restart.from command prompt.
and Again its started as a new installtion, and preinstatltion wizard has came.

Cannot Install CR 2011 on Win Server 2003 Terminal Server

I am trying to instlal BuildVersion=14.0.2.364 on a 2003 windows server and it takes hours and then stops with no error message when it is nearing completion. Is there a proper place to post or send my install log?

Hi Adrian,
If you have checked that you are meeting all of the minimum requirements in terms of OS patches, memory, hardware etc then I would suggest it's probably a good idea to log a message with SAP Support, attach the installation log and any additional information for the investigation.
The required component would be BI-RA-CR.

Did you lose all data on your computer with the failed hard drive? The iPad is not designed or intended to be used as a backup storage device.

Backup, backup, backup, which should include your iTunes library. It isn't a matter of if but when the hard on the computer you are using now has a partial or complete failure, not to mention having constant virus, adware, and spyware concerns with Windows.

WIN server 2003 and CF Administrator

I just upgraded my server. The new one is running WIN Server
2003 instead of the old Server 2000. I have upgraded to 8.0 with
all the hotfixes. I am running Sun Java 6 (update 3). When I click
the any of the "Browse" buttons in the Administrator cgi the
browser closes. Any one know the fix for this?

The problem turned out to be the Java JRE version. I
uninstalled Java 6 and installed 1.4.05 and the problem
resolved.

How to install utility or manage Airport extreme base from Win server 2003

I hope that everybody is doing well.
I am currently studying Server Administration and Maintenance. I am running Win server 2003 and soon to use Win server 2008, provided by the school several months ago. I am trying to install the utility for my airport extreme base in the server that I have at home to no avail. I will appreciated if somebody can help me. My options are limited I cannot buy another wireless router and I really need to do this for my studies. My server does connect to the base by the Ethernet but not I cannot manage the router in the server a major problem in the class that starts today. I will really appreciate if somebody can help to solve this issue which may be the other viable option because I cannot buy another computer I truly hope there is another option that does not include having to purchase another router I love my airport extreme base ;-D

In finder, go to - Mac HD, Library, Preferences - drag the folder 'SystemConfiguration' into the trash
Restart.
Evidently, there were some corrupt files in there which, in my case, made my AP utility sporadically lose both my airport devices. Trashing that folder and the files within, and restarting automatically creates a new fresh system configurations folder. The AP Utility immediately found my hardware with this fix, but only time will tell if this was root cause and be a long-term fix.

Remote desktop from Win 7 to Win server 2003 only allows 16 bit color depth. How to increase to at least 24 bit?

Hi! I'd like to RDP in to a Win server 2003 computer from my new Windows 7 (x64) computer. There's no problem to connect but the connection only allows me to use 16 bit color depth on the Windows server 2003 client. The program I want to use on this computer requires at least 24 bit to run.
I've googled around and tried it all:
-setting the color depth to 4 or 5 through regedit (on both computers)
-creating a Group Policy object-snap in through mmc
-reading endless of forums but no one has had the same issue as I
My question. If all the ordinary solutions isn't working what could the issue then be? My only suspision at this point is the the RDP-client on Win server isn't working properly. The Windows Server 2003 client is fully updated machine and it should have the RDP 5.2-version installed but I can only find 5.1. Could this be the issue? That it needs to be 5.2 to properly communicate with a win7(x64)? If so, how can I upgrade solely the RDP-client since it seems not to have followed with the Automatic Update as it should?

Thanks for your feedback and the test.
I still recommend you to check the local group policy setting “Limit maximum color depth” on the Terminal Server side. Based on your description of Group Policy Object Editor, I suspect the loss of Terminal Services folder is caused by system.adm file not loaded successfully. Please try to fix it via the following steps:
1.     Open Group Policy Object Editor (run “gpedit.msc”) on the terminal server.
2.     Expand Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates
3.     Right click Administrative Templates folder and select Add/Remove Templates, if system is not listed in the panel, go to Step 4; If it is, remove it and go to Step 4.
4.     Click Add button.
5.     In the next phase, it is Windows\inf folder, if it is not, please navigate to the folder. Select system.adm file and click Open.
6.     Check if the Terminal Services folder appears under Windows Components now.
