How to install phonegap build addon ?

Hi
I've recently updated my version of Dreamweaver CC 2014 via the Creative Cloud Application.
Since this update I could not start the Phonegap Build Addon, do I decided to uninstall/reinstall it.
This action did not solve the problem, so I decided to reinstall Dreamweaver all together.
But now I don't see the Phonegap Build option under the Site-menu.
I tried to reinstall the addon, but still no Phonegap Build option in the site-menu.
I also tried to install the addon via the Extention Manager, but in this case I get an error message:
Failed to get user account information for Adobe Exchange Extention. The extention will not be installed.
Please, can someone help me to fix this problem ?
How can I reinstall this addon in Dreamweaver ?

I originally posted this to the PhoneGap Build forum but it occurred to me that it is more of a Dreamweaver problem.
Creative Cloud helpfully installed the latest version of Dreamweaver for me (CC 2014). When I click on the PhoneGap Build Service menu item (under Site) I get a message that it is now an add-on I have to install. I eventually end up at this page - https://creative.adobe.com/addons/pro... with absolutely no clue on how to download or install it. The only useful-looking link on the page: 'Get this Add-on for CS6' just takes me around in a big circle back to this page. What am I missing? The troubleshooting tips under 'Where to find it' just say 'If you have followed the instructions shown...'. What instructions? Where?

The problem I have is that no button there is where 'download' and not be as to download this extension of the "phonegap".
I see that there are many people in the network with the same problem.

How to install Flex Builder?

I would like to start using Flex. But I have big problems when trying to install Flex Builder 3. I already have Eclipse (Ganymede, 3.4) installed on my Windows Vista machine so I tried to install the Eclipse plugin, but I got these dependency pronblems:

And after that I tried to install Flex Builder 3 standalone, but that worked even worse, It just created two empty folders! How to solve all these problems?

Installing Crystal Report AddOn for 8.8

Dear All,
Please let me know how to install Crystal Report AddOn for 8.8 B one ? After installing the Addon When I am starting the Add On I am getting as error as External Connection to the database failed. SAP Crystal AddOn may not function properly. Please rerun the account setup with superuser login.
And when I click on Administration>>Crystal Reports Administration>> Account Setup screen to setup the account, I am getting error as Item- Could not commit action because the item is currently in focus [66000-23].

Install and build instructions

HI, can someone please help me with some instructions on how to install and build these projects.
I am trying in Flex Builder 4 : import > osmf_source_s4.zip. This just pretty much fails for me as there are no flex project files.
Or.. do i need to unzip the dir and manually import each separate project?

If at all possible, for future builds, could the OSMF team build the projects in the releases in a way that they import without errors into Flex Builder (aka Flash Builder)?
For instance, in the v0.5 release, after import the projects under apps\samples display the error:

Secondarily, might future releases please also include:
Sample App descriptions
Release notes of significant changes in the sample apps (such as the v0.4 to v0.5 changes noted here:

How can I sign an app made with PhoneGap Build?

HI,
I have set up the PhoneGap Build service and created an account so I can make an app and upload it to my mobile phone.
Now I have reached the point where I would like to sign it and upload it to Google Play.
I have a developer account and I have filled in all data, made screenshots and icons and description for the app etc.
When I try to upload it to Google play it says "Upload failed..." and that I need to disable debugging.
I have tried to find information about how to do this and I have installed the SDK packet and even successfully set up the path in the Settings for PhoneGap Build without any protests..
Now what?
I have read trhe documentation on how to make a private key with keytool using the cmd in windows an the key has been uploaded to my account on the phonegap build site.
Now according to the doc in phonegap build this key should be used signing the app that I made in dreamweaver. So I recreated the app in Dreamweaver and downloaded it and then tried to upload it on Google Play.
Still the same problem that the app is in debug mode. This means that phone gap build is not doing it's job as it should or maybe that my key is not working.
So my question first is, how can I see if the key is properly generated with keytool?
My next step is to manually sign the app.apk file with the jarsigner tool so I tried to do this accordingly to the sample in the android documentation.

It feels like I have done everything by the book but still my app is not signed and not valid to upload to Google Play for public download.
Please give me some assistance in how to create this last little but so hard step.

I got it solved...
If anyone else has done the same mistake as I did then have a look here.
You just have to create the key with keytool using the command line (cmd.exe)
Here is the guide how to do it (scroll down to "1. Obtain a suitable private key")
Use the example, it works fine.
Then upload it to your PhoneGap Build account by logging in to build.phonegap.com
Then under your account settings upload the yourkey.keystore file and unlock it.
Then under Apps click your uploaded App title to come into the details of the app.
Then (and this is what I missed and therefore didn't get it signed and released) choose the key you uploaded from the fold down menu at the right hanbd of the android logo
Then click Rebuild and when it's done rebuilding you simply download it and it will have a YourApp-release added to the file name and you're set!
Pheeeww this was a horrifying experience and yet so simple solution... strange noone else has experienced this before me.
At the end I have to really salute Dreamweaver who has made such a great tool to easily make your own apps.

Maybe 4 or 5 years ago; but now the need to develop mobile ready sites or apps using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS has increased. PhoneGap is presently used more than before to the point that Adobe has recognize its popularity in many ways. Making it part of Dreamweaver is not in my opinion excess luggage. Developers have always the option to pick and choose what to use from Dreamweaver. Maybe a specific developer doesn't need the PHP features in Dreamweaver; that doesn't mean that feature has to be removed.
Most of the things we do with Dreamweaver can be done without it. Dreamweaver is there to help us save time and be more productive. This is why I feel that helpful features shouldn't be removed; instead they should be improved and solutions implemented to issues that sometime seem impossible to address.

How do I connect to PhoneGap Build?

The guy in the tutorial shows how to connect your Edge Code to PhoneGap Build -- but mine doesn't have the PhoneGap Build Plugin button that he mentions... Mine looks a little different, too -- I assume he's using on older version of Edge Code in that video...
So where is the PhoneGap Plugin hidden in Edge Code CC?

The bar on the right-hand side of my Edge Code CC program shows the following icons: Live Preview, Extension Manager, Preview on Devices Using Edge Inspect CC, Generate Edge Web-Fonts Embed Code, and way down at the bottom, Talk to the Team.
So there is no PhoneGap icon there...
Juding by what's in that blog post that bchinTX linked, I need to install something to enable the PhoneGap extension? But that blog-post was actually pretty old (Oct, 2012, which is ancient in PhoneGap history), and I'm not sure it will work for Edge Code CC -- he was using Brackets., not Edge Code CC. Do I really want to go to a 2-year-old GitHub repository and try to install an extension from there? Will that actually work?
Please send me an updated link to the proper Edge Code CC extension -- if it's available -- or confirm for me that the nearly 2-year-old Brackets extension from that linked blog will actually still work in a new install of Edge Code CC.

How do I install and build and extension with extension builder 2.1?

Honestly, I am beyond frustrated right now.
1. Extension Builder 3 - This will only install and run with Eclipse. JRE 1.7.
This only allows me to use Extendscript to write scripts with. Extendscript is so frustrating to use. It seems like there are a lot of missing properties for working with color models in illustrator. The documentation is also terrible for Extendscript. Something that seems like it would be simple to do like export an RGB JPEG is impossible to spec out in the EXPORT JPEG settings. Its also impossible to set the color space of a NEW AI document unless you use the add(); instead of addDocument(); There are conflicting incomplete properties of both methods. If you use one, one set of settings is missing if you use the other another set is missing... WHAT IS SOMEONE SUPPOSED TO DO???
2. Flash Builder 4.7 will not run Extension Builder 3.
3. I bought Extension Builder 2.1 which is supposed to install Flash Builder 4.6, but the installation keeps failing right at the end. This apparently also requires that you use JRE 1.6 which is not compatible with Mavericks.
This all seems impossible... how in the heck are people learning how to do build extensions, its a surprise that any exist at all. If they do They are likely not building them with the Adobe tools. I know enough about code to be dangerous but don't have a doctorate in troubleshooting all of these compatibility, and documentation issues.
All I want to do is write an extension, or a script that allows me to
1. copy the art from two layers.
2. color the background of the AI document to the background color of the original document
3. resize art from both layers to fit on a 216 x 216 pixel square.
4. Save the document as a: JPEG - ANTI-ALIAS SUPER SAMPLED - 150 DPI - RGB - MEDIUM QUALITY - CLIP TO ARTBOARD - WITH THE SAME NAME AS THE ORIGINAL FILE

First of all, remember that Extension Builder 2.1 only supports building Flash based extensions which have been phased out. If you are building extensions for Creative Cloud and beyond, you should use HTML5. See more info here: Introducing HTML5 extensions | Adobe Developer Connection
The installation is probably failing because you have some leftovers from a previous installation. The installer will detect if you have Flash Builder 4.5 or Flash Builder 4.6 installed (NOT Flash Builder 4.7). If it finds that you have Flash Builder 4.5/4.6 installed, it will attempt to install the plugin on top of it. If it does not detect Flash Builder 4.5/4.6, it will install Flash Builder 4.6 Premium.
I highly recommend you look into the new HTML5 extensibility. Here you can find tons of resources: Adobe CEP Resources by Adobe-CEP

This seems to be a well-known and quite widespread problem with this extension, unfortunately - the net is full of complaints about this issue, not to mention 'horror stories' about how this (otherwise fairly innocent and well-certified but clearly highly commercial) extension has 'sneaked' its way into peoples installations.
I find it quite amazing that such an issue has existed for so long without the Browser Highlighter, TinyMCE and FCKeditor teams getting together and making a working fix - it should be rather easy to prevent with a tag or plugin check in editor code and/or a simple editor recognition routine in the extension.
If you want (/need) to use this extension, I can only point you to the Browser Highlighter homepage for support; in [http://thebrowserhighlighter.com/help.jsp The Browser Highlighter Help section] it is clearly documented - first section, last paragraph - along with a link to [http://thebrowserhighlighter.com/blacklist.jsp this problem report form] where it seems you can ask for help solving the problem.
However, given the (script-)name of the page, I suppose that reporting a problem on your own website (with all details) actually adds your site - or part of it - to a blacklist that TBH maintains to turn off TBH or at least problematic script injections when visiting sites registered in this list. So actually this might help you solve the problem quite easily, if they do what the page implies.

How can I use my addons once they're installed? Where do I go? Is there a Firefox toolbar?

I'm on a Mac.
I installed MeasureIt and RankChecker as addons. I need to install a couple more. How do I use an addon once I have it? Do they show up in a toolbar somewhere? I don't see them in the Google toolbar for Firefox, or above the Google toolbar. Right now, all I see above the Google toolbar is the Delicious icon.

You can check the home page for the add-ons to see how they are used, for example MeasureIt adds an icon to the status bar or toolbar - http://www.kevinfreitas.net/extensions/measureit/
If the icon is not in the toolbar, you can customize the toolbar to add it, see [[How to customize the toolbar]].
The Rank Checker, if it is [http://tools.seobook.com/firefox/rank-checker/ this add-on], adds an entry to the status bar. If the status bar is not visible, in the View menu click on "Status Bar" to display it.

How to fix "server problem" error message when trying to use PhoneGap build service.

I have a site that is now optimized for mobile devices and want to use the PhoneGap Build service in Dreamweaver CS6 to make a native app. Unfortunately, I keep getting the "We seem to be having server problems." error message when I try to create a new project. I did notice that the configuration file was created at the site root. I've seen a few other similar threads on this, but no solution. I've checked on any firewall issues (none) and know that the PhoneGap server is not down. The problem is on my end.
