How to install Photoshop on a new computer

Jeff,
That option is not working for me because I have a subscription to Adobe Photoshop rather than a product.
When I view my orders, it says I have no orders, I can only see my purchases through the "my subscription and services" link.
I do not see a place to download the program.
Please help!

How to Switch Photoshop Program to New Computer

I recieved a version of photoshop along with the purchase of a drawing tablet last year, a week ago the laptop that had the program began having errors so i bought a new laptop. now i just need to switch my program from the old computer to this one. is there any way to do that? i dont recall ever having a disk for the program, and i would really hate to lose the program and have to rebuy it after only having it one year.

open ps on your old laptop and click help>deactivate.
then download a trial of your photoshop and install it on your new computer. you can directly download trials via links here:

and activate with your serial.
if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps. the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

The original computer that I had photoshop installed, has just died completely. How to I deactivate photoshop on the "old" computer so that I can activate it on my new computer, as it states when I reload the licence key?

You need to call support by phone. They can reset the activation count server-side.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Re installed photoshop CS5 onto new computer & now plug ins won't work?

I recently bought a new computer & re-installed photoshop CS5.1 successfully, but can't get the plug ins to work (phototools 2.5 & perfect effects 3, which were a free download with purchase). I am running windows 7 64bit. I copied & pasted them into the plug ins folder (in both applications of photoshop - there is the 32 bit version on 'program files (x86)' & the 64 bit version in 'program files'), but neither will work.

You probably won't get those plugins to work by just copying them.
I'd remove the plugins that you copied and pasted and use the phototools 2.5 & perfect effects 3 plugin installers, as they probably install some other files besides just the plugin itself.

If for some reason it fails to activate, call Adobe Customer Service, they can help you.
Register your software. That way you can access your serial number if you lose it and you are on record as owning the software when you talk to Customer Service.

How to install upgrades on a new computer

Hello. I just purchased the upgrade to CS5.5 yesterday, but I'm on a new computer. I tried to install my previous version (CS4) first on the new computer first, but my original full license is CS, so it's asking for THAT serial number. Which I don't have. I didn't purchase it from Adobe, but one of those companies like MacMall. The serial numbers in the "About" panels for the individual programs don't work. I don't have the box anymore, and I don't think I have the disks, althought they may be at my office somewhere. Copying CS programs onto the new machine isn't working either (I didn't think it would). I'm stuck. And need to work...I know I can do a trial version for now, but what is the process for this situation if I can't locate the serial numbers?
I may have a receipt somewhere, but it's unlikely since it was so long ago.

CS5.5 would only ask for the serial of the previous product which is CS4. No need to install anything.

However, you may not run the software simultaneously on both the primary and secondary computers.

How 2 Install Aperture on a new computer

I just ordered a new Mac Pro. I have Aperture on my old computer and I want to install it on the new one. I don't want to use the Aperture v1.0 CD then do all the updates to get to the latest version. Is there a way to download the latest version of aperture, then just enter my serial number or something.
Also, once Aperture is installed, what's the best way to connect the two Macs together so I can move the library from old to new. My Mac (and other windows computers) are all on a LAN in my home.
