So say i make a user group and add payloads to it in profile manager. How do i remotely send this to my clients without having to go to every client machine and install it manually? Also i've tried to add profiles to a netrestore without any luck.

you should be able to push whatever setting you wish
provided the devices are enrolled in profile manager

I am a bit confused on how to install the RDP role on a 2012 R2 server. I have a two server domain and would like to make the second member server an RDP server to host applications (Word, Excel, a medical software, etc.) where users from their windows
7 desktop will use the Remote Desktop Connection to connect to the server, create a session and do their work. When installing the role, I am prompted with two options:
1- Role-based or feature based installation
2- Remote Desktop services installation
I see the RDP install option in both cases.
1- Which one do I use?
2- What role services do I install? (Connection broker, Gateway, Licensing, Session Host, Virtualization host and Web access). I think I need the first four only.
3- When installing software after RDP, I use the Change user /install and Change user /execute commands. What happens to the software that is already installed? Can remote
users use those?
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thank you for your response. I added the RD Licensing thru the Role-based option.
Also opened the local group policy thru gpedit.msc and added the server name and the licensing mode type to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session
Host -> Licensing
Use the specified RD license servers = NameOfMyServer
Set the Remote Desktop licensing mode = TypeOfMyLicense (Per User in my case)

How to install Profiles?

I am a apple developer for Safari, Mac and iOS and I need help with installing profiles. I would like to have my users click a button then it will take them to the settings app and ask if they want to install there devices on my servers. How do I do this? What code do I add to my php page?
I have an iPad 3rd/4th Gen. Xcode and iTunes can't find out which one.

How to install ONLY Remote Management Agent ?

Is anybody know how to install on windows WS only RM part of ZEN Agent:
Remote Managemet, Mirror Driver ?
Without Application launcher that I can't remove from option list during
setup (I launch ZfDAgent.msi) and without X-Tier part.
After such installation the additional ZEN prompt window for login/password
appears during Windows start-up.
Can you tell how to remove it?

Hi Arvind,
On your server, using Server Manager, you need to install RD Session Host and RD Licensing Role Services at minimum. After install you should set the licensing mode to match the type of RDS CALs you purchased as well as Specify the licensing server
name (itself). You may do this in RD Session Host Configuration (tsconfig.msc) or via group policy.
Next in RD Licensing Manager you need to Activate your licensing server. Before you can install your purchased 2012 RDS CALs you will need to contact the Clearinghouse and have them downgraded to 2008. Please have your licensing number,
authorization number, licensing paperwork/emails ready before you call them.

This is probably an easy question, but I didn't see an obvious reply in Google. I use ICC profiles when I print from Photoshop, but they don't appear in Lightroom. Is there an easy way to install all my profiles into lightroom?

Thanks! I was scratching my head there for a moment, because that's how I install profiles in Photoshop. I couldn't figure out why they weren't showing up in Lightroom. It finally dawned on me that I had had to nuke and re-install Lightroom due to a persistent corrupt file. Apparently the profiles went away with the previous installation. Thanks for your help!

Hi here same thing.. i have Lion 10.7 installed.. every thing worked fine untill last night.. after the latest update.. ARD 3.5 inmediately 'hangs' on startup.
tried to set previous ARD from day before but no help..
then i tried to delete the whole program.. and re install it from my 500 dollar CD.. it won't install under 10.7.
whats next?! what is the solution?!

Just stop and think for a moment. Firstly, it's not Rocket science to produce an icc profile, and does not involve the profile having to physically 'fit' into a pre-formed item such as the razor blade analogy you used.
Secondly, If the likes of Epson and HP did produce printer profiles for all makes of paper, can you imagine how much more product they would sell. Printer companies are currently missing out on substantial amounts of income at the moment because the cost of their inks is more expensive than gold! Thus, the third party ink manufacturers - although not producing an ink as good as the original - are earning large sums of money and once again this is income loss to the major printer manufactures. Can you imagine what would happen if certain vehicles would only run on a specific fuel? I don't mean Diesel or Petroleum, but different manufacturers, Shell, Texaco, Murco etc.
At the end of the day the only person who is adversely affected by this business model is us, the consumer.
I really don't think they need you to be standing up for them Danny.

We are using JDeveloper 10g (10.1.2.1.0) and Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2.0.2) to deploy our web application, its running on a Solaris OS. We would like to know how to make a remote memory profiling for this configuration. JDeveloper help is very ambiguous, and very short.
Anybody could help us a little bit with this? How we can configure OC4J JVM to attend remote memory profiling requests? How we can connect and run the JDeveloper memory profiling extension over this OC4J JVM?....

How to modify installed profile?

I created a profile to our apple users, However, I confirmed a bug about password policy, so I need to remove the password policy, There are someother payloads like mail and calendar account in the profile, and I don't want to remove them.
if I install the updated profile(I am using shell command to install the profile), user mail and other setting will re-initiate , user have to download all email from server. Is there any way to modify the installed profile?

The usual approach is to define the profiles in Profile Manager. Once a device has been 'enrolled' in to Profile Manager you then make it a member of a group to which the profile is to be applied. This causes the profile to be sent to the client device. If later you modify that profile then Profile Manager will automatically send a new version of that profile to the same member devices. When you save the changes it should show a message saying this will cause updated profiles to be sent to devices.
It is therefore not normally necessary to do anything extra to get updates sent to devices.
If however you create profiles using iPhone Configuration Utiltiy or Apple Configurator then these require you to manually copy the profiles to the devices and then you would have to arrange to send them again to the devices. This could be by simply emailing the approriate mobileconfig file.
It sounds like your using Profile Manager so this should not be necessary.

How best to do that (i.e., with minimal performance degradation, and without affecting my package management)? Or is there another way to solve the general problem (running the F5 Network Access Plugin)? Why I ask:
My employer is giving me remote access via a SecurID token and the F5 Network Access Plugin (F5NAP). The latter is in fact a browser plugin, which seems to me an odd way to implement a VPN, but it's the only offered option. Unfortunately,

So I first tried to install the F5NAP on my iceweasel, hoping it was sufficiently like the listed versions. I browsed to my employer's site, logged in using the token, and followed the link to install the plugin. Unfortunately, that failed: the xpi began running, but then quit with the message
