How to install PS CC to a SSD other than the boot or "C" SSD.

I want to install PS CC, Bridge CC, and Lr CC to a SSD other than the boot or "C" SSD.
How to do that?
Problem is, CC Set-Up automatically installs these apps to my boot or "C" SSD.

I signed-out of PS; and deleted PS, Bridge, Lr, and Creative Cloud. The, when I download (i.e., saved) Creative Cloud Setup to my "A" drive SSD, then double click to install Creative Cloud, "it" automatically installs the Creative Cloud app to my "C" SSD.
The app does not ask where I want to install Creative Cloud.
I keep looking for an opportunity to "change the default install location" but I do not see such an opportunity.
Previously, when I installed PS there was no opportunity to "change the default install location."
Can you tell me how to find or force an opportunity to "change the default install location?"
Where or how do I find "the CC app settings?"
Does Abode have a manual install version for Creative Cloud, PS, Bridge, and Lr?
FYI, my OS is Win 7 pro 64 bit.
Also, why does Adobe automatically install a 32bit version of PS on my system?
Can I prevent that?

  • How to install ovi suite to a drive other than C:?...

how to install ovi suite to a drive other than c:??? my c: drive is almost full with other partitions perfectly free to install it, how do i do that? can i use previous versions of ovi suite to use with my e63? at this point, i'm unable to use ovi suite at all, because there's no room to install it on my c: drive.
allllllllso there's one more thing, when i originally had tried installing ovi suite on my computer i had more than 1gb free. after installing it i on'ly had 500mb free. i had only intended for it to use a very small amount of space, and since i also use my c: drive for virtual memory i quickly uninstalled it, looking for an option i'd maybe skipped over while installing it the first time. no luck. anyways, when i looked in the add/remove programs control panel the installed size of ovi suite was only 40-50mb. even after uninstalling ovi suite the extra memory space that seemed to all of a sudden taken up by the installation stayed used.
when looking at the file sizes of everything on my hard drive, (including system files and paging file) there is still a descreprency between the amount of memory used and the size of all files total on the drive. at this point im quite disgusted and disapointed in ovi suite as i'm mostly unable to use it to connect my phone to my computer and i'm also having problems with the CA101 cable as well. i guess i'll have to go check for another cable.
nokia!!! wake up and fix yo **bleep**!!!!
anyone have any solutions for the main problem? (installing to a drive other than c? is there support for this option in any of the new beta versions? can that be included in the newest betas? i'm suuuuuure i'm not the only one begging for this option!!!

Hi ostrenga4, sorry to hear about your experiences.
When installing Nokia Ovi Suite to PC, Windows makes "system restoration points", which are available to restore operating system to previous condition, if something goes wrong, for example in driver installation.
You can change install location of Nokia Ovi Suite with following:
    - Download Nokia Ovi Suite install package from Nokia Ovi Suite pages
    - Start Windows Command prompt
    - From Command prompt, navigate to folder containing Nokia Ovi Suite install package, which you downloaded
    - Start Nokia Ovi Suite install package with command line "Nokia_Ovi_Suite_webinstaller.exe /TARGET="D:\TestDir\Test"
    - This results, that Nokia Ovi Suite installer creates folder D:\TestDir\Test (if that doesn't exist) and installs Nokia Ovi Suite there.
    - Unfortunately, Windows Installer still keeps installer cache files and system restoration points in C: drive (or whatever your system drive is)
As you can see, this is possible, but it is very much recommend to have enough space for installing software into system drive.
    Cheers, Samuli

  • Can I install Adobe Reader to a drive other than the C: drive?

Can I install Adobe Reader to a drive other than the C: drive?

    Hello there,
Welcome to Adobe Community. Yes it can be installed on a different drive. Though some of the files installed by it will still be installed on C: drive.
When you run the installer, use 'Change destination folder' at the bottom of the panel
If you already have Adobe Reader installed on the C: drive, you must uninstall it before installing a new version on a different location.
    Thanks!

  • How to enable remote debugging for a session other than the current one

    Hi all,
I am trying to figure out how to enable remote debugging for a session other than the one I am currently using.
More specifically, we have an application that is making database calls to Oracle 11gR2. Something is causing an exception during this invocation. My system is currently not set up to recompile said application, so I can't just add the debug call to the code and recompile. Therefore I would like to be able to log into the database (as sys, if necessary) and invoke dbms_debug_jdwp.connect_tcp on the desired session.
The docs indicate that I should be able to do so:
    dbms_debug_jdwp.connect_tcp(
    host IN VARCHAR2,
    port IN VARCHAR2,
    session_id IN PLS_INTEGER := NULL,
    session_serial IN PLS_INTEGER := NULL,
    debug_role IN VARCHAR2 := NULL,
    debug_role_pwd IN VARCHAR2 := NULL,
    option_flags IN PLS_INTEGER := 0,
    extensions_cmd_set IN PLS_INTEGER := 128);
But when I try (even as sys), I get the following:
exec dbms_debug_jdwp.connect_tcp('1.2.3.4',5678,<session id>,<session serial>);ORA-00022: invalid session ID; access denied
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP", line 68
    ORA-06512: at line 1
00022. 00000 - "invalid session ID; access denied"
*Cause:    Either the session specified does not exist or the caller
does not have the privilege to access it.
*Action:   Specify a valid session ID that you have privilege to access,
that is either you own it or you have the CHANGE_USER privilege.
I've tried granting the 'BECOME USER' privilege for the relevant users, but that didn't help. I read something about having to set some kind of ACL as of 11gR1, but the reference documentation was very confusing.
Would someone be able to point me in the right direction? Is this even possible, or did I misread the documentation?

Interesting deduction, that would be very useful indeed. I hate recompiling just to add the debug call, and it can't be done in our production environment. But it seems unlikely to me it would be implemented this way.
I would cross-post this in the SQL AND PL/SQL forum though, as this is really a database issue, not with the SQL Developer tool. Do add the links to the other posts in each.

    K.

  • 10.6.2 won't install to another volume other than the boot volume

Report a possible bug to Apple.
as is often recommended for updates, I install from another volume other than the one I want to update, and never update the volume I am booted from. The 10.6.2 update (both combo and update only) won't update any other volume other than the one booted from. Previous updates of OS X have always been able to do this. When I try to change installation location to another volume (which contain 10.6.1) it posts an error saying "This update requires 10.6.2 to be installed", which is wrong it two ways. First, how can an upgrade require itself to be installed before it will actually install. Second, there is no reason it shouldn't have been able to update the 10.6.1 volume. I had two 10.6.1 volumes, when booting from either one, it wouldn't update the other. The update will install if it's run on the volume I boot from, but that defeats the purpose of trying to eliminate update issues by installing from another volume.

    -update-
In order to to update remotely, there seems to be a number of new and interesting restrictions
imposed. I came to these basic conclusions by experimentation:
    1. I was unable to install a 10.6.2 update to a remote 10.6.0/10.6.1 volume, while booted from
a 10.6.0/10.6.1 volume. In other words I had to be booted from a 10.6.2 volume to be able to
remotely install (or reinstall) a 10.6.2 update to a remote 10.6.0/1/2 volume.
    2. If the volume I was installing to was another internal volume, then I usually (but not
always) had to set the volume I was trying to install to, as the default startup volume in system
preferences before the installer would accept it as a valid volume to update.
    3. If the volume I was installing to was a firewire or USB drive, then the #2 restriction did not apply,
but the the #1 restriction still applied (I still had to be booted from a 10.6.2 volume to install
    a 10.6.2 update).
    4. If, after following the above rules, you are still having trouble, simply rebooting and trying
    again will usually work.
    So in conclusion:
Remotely updating an external firewire or USB drive was relatively simple and easy, just boot
from an internal 10.6.2 installation and do it.
Remotely updating another internal drive though, can be quite annoying.
Apple, it seems, is heavily promoting the automatic update method.
Lately, it seems, it is getting more and more difficult in many cases, to get a major
OS update to "take" properly. I have been heavily using the "bare bones admin account"
method (outlined in my previous post) for the last several months with good success.
I agree with you that the remote method should be the best, but Apple's install packages
have become increasingly difficult to install using that method, even in 10.5.x.
I will say this though, the updates I installed today using the remote method
are working just fine, even though I had to wrestle with them to get them installed.

  • How to install Creative Cloud on any drive other than my System drive...

You are now chatting with 'Bhagawan'
Bhagawan: Hello. Welcome to Adobe Technical Support.
    Bhagawan: Hi Steve
Steve: It appears CC installs on my system drive without asking me. The way I manage my system - this is not acceptable. So, how do I install on the drive I install all my other apps?
Bhagawan: I understand that you want to install Creative Cloud desktop app. Am I correct?
Steve: On a particular drive - not my system drive.
    Steve: CC, Photoshop, etc.
Bhagawan: I will be glad to check and help you with this issue.
Bhagawan: Steve, creative cloud desktop app can be install only on C drive, but other apps you select for other drive.
Steve: My C: drive is dedicated to my OS only.
Steve: It is a special drive that will not work for very long if software companies put their programs on it till it fills up and then everything stops.
Steve: Didn't Adobe think of this?
Steve: I have one computer that only has a few MBs left of C:. What do I do on that computer?
    Steve: "left on C:"
    Bhagawan: Give me a minute.
    Bhagawan: Thank you.
Bhagawan: Steve, I'm really sorry, creative cloud desktop app will be installed on C Drive, since the operating system is installed, but other Creative Cloud apps can be installed other Drive and depends on file size.

I had the same problem and finally solved it.
It is "funny" that CC doesn't ask you where to install apps. Or better to say, it asks you but doesn't care. In Creative Cloud desktop app/Preferences there is option to choose where you want apps to be installed, but they are still installed in C:/Program Files/....
How to install apps on secondary drive in just 3 steps:
    1. Go to page Adobe CC 2014 Direct Download Links – Creative Cloud 2014 Release | ProDesignTools and download all apps that you will need.
    2. Once downloaded, install it. During installation you will be asked where you want app to be installed (just like in any other "normal" installation)
    3. Be happy
    Hope I helped

  • Can the creative cloud apps be installed on a drive other than the boot drive?

I have an SSD for the boot drive and keep most apps on an 'applications' drive. It appears that CC apps install by default to the boot drive. Am I incorrect? Can I control what drive they install on?

Yes you can change the install location:
    Launch the Adobe Application Manager.
Click on your name in the top left and from the context menu choose Preferences.
Change the Install Location to the one you want.

  • Installing Final Cut Studio to disk other than the startup disk?

Is it posable? if so, how. My startup disk is only 20GB and I have an 80GB in the case too, but no tiger install disk. It takes 30GB to do a full install.

The applications need to reside in the default location - on the startup disk. However, all the support files can be placed in other locations.
The apps = 5GB or so. It is all the support files that take up the space.
    good luck.

  • How to disable iTunes Match on a computer other than the one with my main library?

I have iTunes installed on a home MacBook for syncing music, photos etc and iTunes on a work PC to sync calendars and contacts.  iTunes Match is enabled on both. However, I'd like to disable it on my work PC as it slows down my iTunes when I open it up.  When I click "Disable iTunes Match" in the store link in iTunes on my work PC, it appears to want to disable the service universally.  Is this only disabling it on this one device, or universally?  Thanks.

Thanks... took over an hour to turn off the iTunes Match, but it did not effect my home iTunes.

  • How do I update Firefox to a version other than the latest one?

As you can see from the troubleshooting information, I am several versions behind the latest Firefox. I am wondering whether an update would make Hotmail work on Firefox again and make it faster. However, Firefox Auto Updater is set to install the latest version, so I have to keep refusing it permission because: a) Character Palette isn't compatible with it; b) Last time I looked, there was no fix to turn off that infuriating swear word censor in the latest version. Is there any way I can get a version that is newer than my current version, but doesn't censor anything I choose to type and lets me use Character Palette?

try the alternate and easiest way by downloading from here
    * getfirefox.com
simply run the installer, you can install on top of current version or you can remove the current one if you wish

  • In TestStand, How do I pass variables to a sequence, other than the standard Input Buffer?

I have Labview VIs that have arrays as inputs, I want to pass information in that array to the VI. TestStand already has the Input Buffer setup, but how do I create more input buffers, like array input buffers?? I know that the "Parameters" section in the sequence file is for passing info to subsequences, but that does not help me, Thank you in advance!!

See the TestStand shipping example located in the directory \Examples\AccessingArrays\UsingLabVIEW. This will show you how to pass arrays back and forth from a VI to a sequence variable.
If you are trying to create a step that handles arrays, then you will need to create a new step type that has an array step property. There is an example on the NI web site of a step type that handles arrays. Go to www.ni.com/support and search the Examples Program database using the search string of:
    +"step type" +waveform +teststand

  • How do i assign the Home folder to a hard disc other than the boot disc?

I just installed a new 1TB disc drive.  My original 500GB boot drive is full of all my operating system files and folders as well as all my data.  A person in the MacPro community suggested that I separate the Home folder from my other boot folders and place it on the 1TB drive and keep all my operating system files on the original 500GB drives.
Does Apple support this approach?  If so, is there a defined methodology to effect this outcome?
    Jim Simpson

    Go into
     > System Preferences... > Users & Groups
Click the padlock at the bottom and enter your password to open it.
Hold 'control' and click your account name. Choose 'Advanced Options...'
In the dialogue that opens, you can tell the OS where to look for your home folder.
