How to install quicktime 6 on 9.2.2

hi,
i need to work with classic under 10.3. the installer that came with my computer had only QT5.
10.3 tells me it will be better to have QT6.
now i can not find the installer.
only the updater for 6.0.3.
i tried it and it messed up my QT after restart it gave me an error message saying i need QT6 or higher to install this.
now i don't even have QT5.
where can i find the right installer? and don't give me that link to the 6.0.3 installer (10.2mgs) and say this is the right one. this one doesn't work!

ok this is how it is solved.
this is such a buggy software that i can't belive it.
1. delete quicktime library from applications (mac os 9).
2. delete all extentions naming with quicktime from the extentions folder in the system 9 folder.
3. restart
4. install quicktime 6.0.3 from the updater. do a minimum install!.
5. restart
6. install again to add other features if you wish.
this way the installer will not try to update the QT5 version and everything will work.

- ogs-3.1.2.2-windows.exe.
- I created folder in c: call "java".
- setup jdk-6u21-windows-x64.exe in (C:\java).

- Double click on ogs-3.1.2.2-windows.exe and start setup glassfish server (I choosed Custom Installation --> Install and Configure).

by adding this line set AS_JAVA=C:\java\jdk1.6.0_21
and add in C:\glassfish3\glassfish\config\asenv.conf this line:

It's not possible to download Quick Time for any iPhone. But all the iPhones has some kind of Quick Time built in. I mean, when you wanna open anything what is associated with Quick Time, then you can notice a symbol of Quick Time while it's loading. It all depends on the format of the video you wanna watch. If you watch films on the net via your iPhone, then that is a place where Quick Time associations are very commonly used.
But believe me, the best media player for iPhone is the built-in one!

How to install Quicktime WITHOUT iTunes?

It seems that there isn't a Quicktime installation kit, just an "iTunes with Quicktime" kit. That can't be right. I don't want to install Apple bloatware that I'm never going to use and would just uninstall right away just to get a simple video player.
Seriously, iTunes includes DRM (Digital Restrictions Software) of the sort that you often can never get off of your system without crippling it in some way.
All I want to do is watch movie previews. I shouldn't have to install 35 MB of software (compressed) just to watch movie previews.
So please, tell me how to install just Quicktime, or tell me about a Quicktime 7 compatible media player I can use as an alternative.

P.S. Why are so many movie previews available only in Quicktime format? Does Apple pay the studios to get a monopoly in this area or what? You can usually can get around this by going to Canadian sites, for example the US site for Imagine Me and You has only a Quicktime format preview, but you can go to a Canadian site, http://www.icinema.ca/movie.php?movieID=51628, and they have the preview in Windows Media and Real formats ONLY (Quicktime isn’t even available). But that's an inconvenience. Why can’t we get to choose our media format in the US?

Thanks for the link. That's exactly what I was looking for.
I went back to the "Quicktime Download" tab and I still can't see a link to the /standalone page. It must be hidden somewhere, but Real does the same sort of bait-and-switch thing, except they are trying to trick you into paying for their product, which is even worse.
Also I apologize for the attitude. Just kind of frustrated, having spent too much time trying to solve this very minor problem.

How to install Quicktime after error -3

If you’re trying to install iTunes on Windows and it dies during the Quicktime installation with a “-3″ error, the way to fix it is to:
1. Open regedit
2. Navigate to HKEYCLASSESROOT –> Installer and select Products
3. Use the Find menu to find quicktime inside that part of the key
4. Delete the part of the tree (key) that you find
5. You should now be able to install Quicktime and iTunes without incident

I also stumbled across this fix for the error -3 msg which works using Windows 2000 SP4.

ABC uses a special plugin for their content, and that plugin does not appear to be 64-bit compatible. If you're using Safari, try this: quit Safari, locate it in your Applications folder, Get Info on the Safari application, and checkmark the box that says "open in 32-bit mode). Then try the ABC full episodes pages again. Note that you'll also need the latest version of Adobe Flash Player as well.
As to other sites, we'd have to know the specifics of the sites to be able to offer suggestions that are more than just guesswork.

When I run the QT Pro installer, it prompts for my MacOS X password. I enter it any permutation of cases and it rejects all!
this same thing happened upon reciept of teh machine from the reseller, who swore all over his password information to me was exact. I reformetted & installed the OS myself. I wrote the password down. Now the OS won't let me make installs or upgrades. What IS this error? How can I have access to my machine?

There is no "QuickTime Pro" installer. The Pro features are enabled via the QuickTime System Preference/Register pane.
Check your account settings and edit them (or use the install DVD to change them).
The user account password is what you need to know. It may be different from the password and account name of the "administrator" account.

Logic Studio may only "key" the QT 7 player for "Pro" use. I.e., Apple is very touchy about others distributing their software. In any case, I suspect Logic Studio may expect QT 7 v7.6.6 to already be installed on you your system in its default "Applications > Utilities" folder location. If it is not there, then you will have to download it manually at http://support.apple.com/kb/DL923 and run the installer since QT X v10.2 (included with Mountain Lion) cannot be upgraded for "Pro" use.

I purchased Snow Leopard through apple as a download. So I never received a disk. And I deleted Quicktime because it would not play audio. I thought I could just fresh reinstall it and it might fix the problem. Where can I download it without the disc? Worth checking which version you deleted (deleting QT is never a good idea as it is an integral part of the operating system).

The iOS is a completely different OS than OS X. QuickTime for the Mac is not written to work on an iPad. There is no way to install it.

Yes I had that problem this week. Did search in finder and dragged all files to trash,including any attempted down loads of updated quicktime, emptied, restarted and then down loaded latest version and all ok.
