How to install Reader X onto D:/

Previously Adobe Reader version 9 was installed on drive D:/Program Files/Adobe/...
During upgrade to Reader X, Adobe DLM did not offer option to select location.  Installation went to C:/Program Files/Adobe/... and all of version 9 was removed from D:/ in the process.
How can Adobe Reader X be installed on D:/ rather than on C:/?
Is it possible to download an installation file for Reader X onto D:/, and install onto D:/ with help of appropriate switches for the .exe file?
I would also like to install all other Adobe programs onto D:/ as well, and have uninstalled all of them at this time to avoid potential conflict.

Try Downloading Reader build from here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
then double ckick the installer (it will install in UI mode) and click on "change destination folder" button to browse in my computer. From this button you can change the path of installation. Let me know if you face any problem in doing this.

Does anyone know how I install Microsoft office onto an I Mac or if I even need it.

If you need to write or modify documents made with Word, Excel, or Powerpoint, then you need Office. Otherwise, you don't. If you already have it then installation just involves double-clicking on the Office Installer's icon.
You may want to consider as well:
These two suites are similar to Libre Office but not as current or as well-supported:
    NeoOffice
    Open Office
And, then there is Apple's iWork suite:
Pages - word processing and layout
    Keynote - presentation
    Numbers - spreadsheet
Each can open and save Office compatible files. They may be purchased separately via the Mac App Store for $19.99 each.
(Access to the Mac App Store requires Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or higher and an Apple ID.)

  • How to install Snow Leopard onto external hard drive.

I'm currently running on 10.5.8, and I just bought the Snow Leopard installation disc to update to 10.6.3.
My mac has been running on an external hard drive for about a year. The internal just stopped working.
I want to  install Snow Leopard onto my external hard drive, but all of my files are on there, and I read that if I do the install, all of the data will be erased.
If I used time machine to back up the files before I do the install, are they at risk of being erased, since they will be back-uped on the external?
This is probably super obvious, but I want to be very careful with this.
Any help is very much appreciated!

    1. The data won't be erased unless a problem occurs.
    2. The Time Machine backup should be on a different drive, as drives can fail.

  • How to install Reader 4.0 on VIsta 64-bit machine

I have an old program that looks for Acrobat Reader 4.0 under the Adobe programs directory in programs folder.
Anyone have any suggestions to install REader 4.0 so my program finds it?
    Thanks.
AR40ENG.EXE was bundled on the installation disk I received from teh software company which is now out of business....
My program is looking for Reader file named pdf.ocx.
    David Ristau

Well Mike, I appreciate your commennts, however, if I could haul around my old desktop with me and my vista 64 laptop, then problem would be solved.
However, I can't haul the desktop.
And like Linda, I've had a problem installing on XP.
Except, though, I was able to install 4.0 on a Dell laptop with XP pro.
I believe I installed it on the Dell before I installed Acrobat Pro 7.0.
I also believe that since I installed it on the Dell before 7.0, it would explain why I now can't load 4.0 reader on 2 new XP boxes that have Acrobat Pro 7.0 already installed.
Question for Linda: Did you unistall all versions of Acrobat as well as Reader trying to install 4.0?
Thanks for all comments and suggestions. I'll give them all a shot to get the 4.0 on an XP box.
FYI Mike, the old program I'm trying to use is a year 2000 tax prep software from an old company named Tax and Accounting Software. Even after all these years it's been the only program I've found for printing labels that lets me start anywhere on a label page and any quantity or font. Intuit bought out the company in 2001 and continues to sell a bookkeeping package that uses a similar labeling process that does work in XP and Vista 64. If I could figure out how to export the 400+ label file I have in that old tax package in a format the bookeeping package could read, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
I'll be calling Intuit next week to see if they have any suggestions other than re-typing all that label information.
Again, thanks for any help and suggestions

  • I have Macbook Pro 13" mid 20012. How to install Windows 8 onto the mac using DVD? 10.8.3

    the title says it all.
i have windows 8 DVD and i would like to have a clear instructions on how to install windows 8. I dont understand the need for USB

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You need a USB drive to install the Windows support software. It contains all the drivers that your MacBook Pro needs, and you will have to install them after finishing the Windows installation. If you don't install them, a lot of things won't work: the wireless card, the sound card, the brightness, the trackpad gestures... Apart from that, you don't need it for anything else.
Apple has released the official steps to install Windows 8 on a Mac, so if you want, print this PDF > http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.8.pdf

  • How to install reader 9.3 on another hd than c:

The download manager installs Adobe Reader 9.3 on my XP SP3 laptop perfectly.
Now I do not want it installed on the default hd C: I want to specify a different location such as E:
Nowhere in the process did I notice an option for this and manual downloads seem to be unavailable
    Am I missing something?

Use the installer provided here to install reader:
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3/enu/
There will be an option available here from where you can change your application installation directory.

  • I purchased creative suite about 3 years ago for my macbook pro and have just bought an iMac and was wondering if and how to install creative suite onto my computer?

I am aware that I could not use both devices at the same time and from what I've read on here, once you've bought creative suite you may install it onto two devices. I'm just wondering how I go about installing onto my iMac, also with consideration that it is a older version of Creative Suite.

  • Please Explain How To Install Windows 7 Onto A Samsung XP941 M.2 Drive

I have seen a dozen posts saying that this drive is bootable on the X99 platform (ASUS X99-E WS) and another dozen people say that it isn't. Someone at ASUS support said that some of the XP941s are bootable and others are not. WTF? How is that possible if they are all the same? Will some please explain exactly what steps to take to install Windows? I have all the latest drivers and BIOS. THe drive is already installed for storage.

The question really boils down to: Does the Asus X99-E WS support M.2 NGFF PCIe 3.0 x4, which is what is required for the XP941. M.2 support is too wide and uninformative, it may be limited to x2 and then the XP941 will not be bootable. Asus should be able to answer that. If it does not support it, then you have to either return the XP941 or use the ASRock X99 Extreme 11 motherboard or the Asus Rampage V Extreme, since both do support x4 if you need a bootable XP941.
The Samsung m.2 XP941 is an OEM disk. This means you are on your own. There is no support from Samsung, there is no warranty and Samsung Magician does not support it.
The companies that sell the XP941 to consumers, sell it as a replacement disk.
Maybe this can be helpful: http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?board_id=1&model=X99-DELUXE&id=20141028220241736&page= 1&SLanguage=en-us
The Asus site mentions on the Specifications page for the X99-E WS:
    Intel® X99 chipset : *1
    1 x SATA Express port, gray, compatible with 2 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports
    1 x M.2 x4 Socket 3, gray, , with M Key, type 2260/2280 storage devices support (PCIE mode)
    8 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), gray, *2
    Intel® Rapid Storage Technology supports*3
    ASMedia® SATA Express controller : *4
    1 x SATA Express port, gray, compatible with 2 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports
    ASMedia® SATA Express controller :
    1 x eSATA 6Gb/s port(s), gray, compatible with 2 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports
so it should work with a bootable XP941.

  • How to install 10.4 onto a FWHD?

Hello all, I have an ext FW HD installed with a bootable OS 10.3.9, works fine. When I try to use the 10.4 install disk, the installer advises that 10.4 can't be installed onto that drive. Can't even use the archive & install option. What have I missed?
    Thanks
    Aluminium Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Thanks, but I couldn't even get that far. I inserted the install CD, clicked on the "Install Tiger 10.4" icon. This shuts down the computer and reboots off the install CD. A screen then comes up and says something like "you can't install 10.4 on this drive" and offers me a restart button, nothing else. I don't even get the option of choosing a drive or any install options.
I have tried holding down the option key when restarting and selecting the FWHD but the same thing happens.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

  • How to install Reader without AIR

I have to deploy Adobe Reader 9.1.2 to hundreds of PCs through scripts.
    I first run "msiexec.exe /i AcroRead.msi /qb /norestart",
    then, after a 5sec delay, "AdbeRdrUpd912_all_incr.msp /qb /norestart".
That works fine, except that occasionally, when I start the AdbeRdrUpd912_all_incr.msp a window pops up saying that some other installation is already running. After many tests I found out that after the AcroRead.msi has finished, it starts an installation of AIR in the background (using the system account!) without asking or telling. When that hasn't finished when I run the update, bang ... I don't want to put in a 5-10 minute delay just to be sure. And I hate when stuff gets installed without asking and/or telling.
So my question is: How can I avoid this virus-like AIR installation? (I know what AIR is, but I don't want it to install itself like a virus)

I have a smilar problem . I deployed version 9 using the msi and the mst file created by the custom wizard. I removed all shortcuts and automatic updates etc.
When I apply the exact same settings using verion 9 1  Adobe Air and Adobe Com both install a few seconds afterwards
Did you manage to get a fix for your issue

  • How to install Flash Player onto a Kindle Fire

How can I install a version of Flash Player on a Kindle Fire?

NOBODY is selling 1st gen Kindle Fires anymore. They havent been available from retailers since late 2011. Android dropped ALL Flash support May 2012, and ALL 2nd gen Kindle Fire and HD tablets are no longer supported. THIS IS A KINDLE PROBLEM and NOT Adobe. People really need to take this to Amazon or directly to Android. Even if someone gets it to install using this workaround, it ISN'T supported by Adobe or Android.

  • How to install Reader version lower than 9.3.3

In order to download a government application form, I need to install Adobe Reader version 9.3.2 or lower.  How do I do this?  When I try to download, the only version I get is 9.3.3.

You can download Reader 9.3.0 (9.3.2 is an updated version of 9.3.0 and cannot be downloaded as a full installer).
If you tell us your operating system, I can give you a direct download link.  Alternatively you can navigate the Adobe FTP site ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/ and you can download any previous Reader version.
Or you can go to this download site and specify an older OS version to obtain Reader 8.2
P.S.  you must uninstall your current Reader version before installing an older one.

  • How to install Flash Player onto E51?

I really want to watch videos from my phone but unfortunately, only after I bought the phone did I realise that the latest Flash Player is not installed in this model. As such, most websites that I can normally watch videos from do not work (except for Youtube which converts it to RealPlayer).

Is there anyway to do this? Thanks.
