On my XP I TRY TO RUN REPORT WITH REPORT SERVER I GET ERROR
ERR:41213 , CAN YOU HELP ME , HOW TO INSTALL REPORT SERVER IN ORACLE 9I REPORT WITH XP

Test to start the Reports server from a "DOS Window" :
rwserver server=repserver
(replace repserver by the reports server name you want top use)

I just migrating from 9iDS to 10gDS, i am wonder when i wrote this command to install report server rwserver -install rep_adeel autostart=yes its giving me message that Please consult the installation guide to how run and setup this program eventhough this command runs sucessfully in 9iDS. In 10g R2 Reports server is no longer a windows service,
As far as I remember, it will be created for you when you run your first report as long as you are connected to a network or have enabled the Microsoft Loopback adapter.

How to configure report server in 10.1.2

I have 10gDEV,AS10G and AS infrastructure on my system.I want to issue the following command to install report server but it is not working "rwserver -install reptest" ..... Any body know how I install this server in 10.1.2.0.2 Rel of 10g...Any idea?????

How to install owb server-side software on UNIX Solaris (SPACR-64)?
I've read the install guide
and it mentions
3. Start the installer by entering the following at the prompt:
cd mount_point
./runInstaller
I don't have access to any graphical interface on the UNIX box e.g. x-windows nor any cd with the software, just the solaris software downloaded from web - does this include the runinstaller
and is the runisnatller just a command line interface?
I hoped I would be able to download the software from oracle website and then simply run the a setup scrip?
Is it possible to do this? Would I simply substitute cd mount_point to cd <directory I put software)
I've never ran oracle universall installer on UNIX before.

Hi,
You can install the server-side software from the downloaded software.
You don't need the CD
You do need an X-windows client on your computer to connect to the server OR work directly on the server.
Without X-windows you cannot start the Oracle Universal Installer.
Maybe there is a command line installation, I have never used this.

i am trying to install PVM 1.0.2 , but i have the following error:
Installing Report Server:
ERROR: Failed to install report server as user pvmadm. Please check OS
user configuration then try again.
I add pvmadm to root group,except dba group, but i have the same problem.
Any ideas ?

The installation of a Reports Server as a "Windows Service" is no more possible in Oracle Reports 10g R2 :

or use opmn to manage the reports server .

Hi,
Server and envid are the parameters passed along with Reports URL call.
These variables value can be traped in Report by defining SERVER , ENVID named user parameters.
Once trapped, can be printed on Report.
Just ensure that these users parameters are not exposed to Parameter page, otherwise user may end up changing it.

Yes, they can. They installed in different directories and you have to use different ports.
AFAIK for HTTP for APEX is either part of the installation (eg. in the Oracle Express Edition) or part of the Oracle Installation CDs. For more information see the Oracle Installation Documentation.
