How to install Roxio Toast 11 Titanium in OSX 10.7

Hi!
I just purchased Roxio Toast 11 Titanium and I would like to know the best way to install this on my Mac. My graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 4670, which is not one of the cards supported to use Toast's VideoBoost, only NVIDIA cards are supported. Do I need to use VideoBoost and if so should I download a NVIDIA card, and which one? The Roxio site said to download the first card on the list, which is a CUDA 5.0.37 driver for Mac. The Roxio site also says that before installing this driver that I need either Quadro FX for Mac or GeForce for Mac. I'm confused, please help!!! Thank you!!!

Just pop the CD/DVD into your optical drive and run the installer and install Toast.
The Video Boost is probably a system plugin. It , probably, won't install aa you do not have a NVIDIA GPU  installed in your iMac. It's a ATI GPU.
So, so not worry about this feature. You can't utilize it, anyway.

  • Using Roxio Toast Titanium with 550 PowerBook

    Hello eveyone.
I recently installed Tiger and am now on V. 10.4.7
My PB has no cd or dvd burner so about 3 years ago, I bought a burner and installed Roxio Toast Titanium 5.1.2. All went OK - until Tiger.
After the Tiger install, I can't get my Toast to open. This means I can use my burner - an ez quest connected with firewire - to burn a cd from iTunes but I cannot burn any of my iPhoto pics.
Anyone had a similar problem? How do I fix it?? Should I just buy and install the latest from Roxio - their Media 8 I think?
    Any help would be great!

Ouch! Well, at least you know you should have.
Is reparing perms a big thing?
It's a big thing in that it needs to get done, say like changing your oil. But like the oil, it's not a big thing to do.
Can I go wrong and make things worse?
    I can't even imagine how. It's a normal, supposed-to-be performed thing.
Open Applications:Utilities:Disk Utility, select your HD on the left side, click on Repair Permissions at the bottom, wait a few minutes until it's finished, quit DU, and you're all set.
Also, I'd guess that you don't run Background Maintenance; I'd strongly recommend it (I like MacJanitor because it's so easy and it's freeware).
Not to worry, this all normal/routine stuff.

  • Roxio Toast Titanium 6.1 cannot see superdrive in MacBook Pro 17"

    Hi Folks,
My superdrive worked perfectly fine with Toast Titanium 6.1, burning Cd's,Dvd's,dual layer Dvd's without any issues.
But just recently Toast has informed me that it cannot find a recorder.
here is the details of my superdrive as listed by System Profiler:
    MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-85J:
    Firmware Revision: FAV1
    Interconnect: ATAPI
    Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipped/Supported)
    Cache: 2048 KB
    Reads DVD: Yes
    CD-Write: -R, -RW
    DVD-Write: -R, -RW, +R, +RW, +R DL
    Burn Underrun Protection CD: Yes
    Burn Underrun Protection DVD: Yes
    Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, DVD-DAO
    Media:
    Media Type: CD-ROM
    Blank: No
    Erasable: No
    Overwritable: No
    Appendable: No
I am currently trying to get Roxio suipport to resolve the issue but no luck so far.
I have uninstalled & re-installed the Toast software, repaired permissions, the works but stiil Toast cannot see the Superdrive.
The only thing I can think of is I installed a recent firmware update for the MacBook Pro & maybe that had something to do with it.
I also don't think that updating to the latest version of Toast 8 will resolve the issue either.
Remember that the Superdrive was working just fine with Toast.
I have searced the froums & apple support documents to no avail.
The Toast site is not much help either.
Anybody have any ideas or a similar problem.
    Thanks
    fargione

    My problem has been solved!
I have carried out a complete re-install of the Os & I am right back up to OS 10.4.10.
Al the available updates have been installed & Toast 6.1.1 works just fine & sees the superdrive without any problems.
I think I have worked out what caused Toast to break.
Sometime back I was advised to run an app called Monolingual.
It is a utility that removes unecessary language resources from the os & reclaims disk space.
My advice is to live with the extra language's & avoid Monolingual.
Once again thank you all for your help.

  • How to Install DBD::mysql on Mac OSX 10.4.7 SERVER Universal

I spent 3 days trying to figure out how to install DBD::mysql on OSX 10.4.7 Server Universal on my Mac Pro.
I didn't think it would be so hard just to get it installed so I could use Movable Type. Yikes!
Anyway, I wrote up a tutorial on what I did to get it installed. Hopefully it will help you out if you are having problems installing DBD::mysql on Server 10.4.7 Universal with a Mac Pro.
DISCLAIMER: I cannot say whether or not this will work with any other version of Server or Macintosh. Inside the article below is a link to how to install DBD::mysql on other versions of OSX that may or may not work for you.

  • If there ever was a NEW update for iMovie, will iMovie have the ability to burn projects onto a Blu-Ray disc so that customers don't have to pay for additional software like Final Cut Pro or Roxio Toast Titanium/Pro?

It would be helpful for those who are familier with iMovie to use Blu-Ray discs for burning and playing back their iMovie projects in HD. However, iMovie '11 doesn't have that special feature yet. I hear that 'Final Cut Pro X,' 'Roxio Toast 11 Titanium' and 'Roxio Toast 11 Pro' can copy projects like iMovie onto Blu-Ray, but it would take long periods of time to do that. Professional software, like FCP X and Toast, can be pricey.
I'm hoping that iMovie '11 will burn projects onto Blu-Ray, but will that ever come true?

Will iBlu-Ray be an upgrade? OR and update of iDVD?
If it's an upgrade, then that means you'd still pay for it from the Mac App Store. I wish it would only cost between $20-40.
If it's a free update of iDVD, but with the new name, that would be better than to go out and pay for things!!!
However, external Blu-ray recorders would still be required if you were going to burn an iMovie project onto a blu-ray disc.
Is there a way to put in a request for 'iBlu-Ray?'

  • Error Type 2 Installing Roxio Toast

I was able to find an old copy of Toast Titanium 5.2. It installed just fine on one of my Quicksilver G4s and burned CDs like a champ. The Graphite G4 I have though, it would not install Toast at all, I got an error message after clicking "I agree" on the agreement. I also tried installing another program and got the same error, so I know its not an issue with Toast. These are the errors that came up, at first it was Error Type 2, then switched to 1:
"The Application "Toast Titanium 5.2 Installer” has unexpectedly quit because an error of type 1 has occurred. You should save your work in other open applications and restart the computer."
"The Application "Toast Titanium 5.2 Installer” has unexpectedly quit because an error of type 2 has occurred. You should save your work in other open applications and restart the computer."
Both computers are on OS9.2.2, the Quicksilver has 768mb of ram and the Graphite has 448mb of ram I believe. I tried holding 'Shift' while booting to disable extensions, but got a different error, assuming it needed an extension. I went to the extension manager and set it to base extensions only, but had the same error. I only assume the installer package is corrupt or something. Any tips would be greatly appriciated!

And Im back ... I GOT TOAST INSTALLED! lol. Started disabling extensions, disabled the 9.2 extension set, restarted, got a 'interfacelib--getcomponentresource' error when opening the installer. Enabled the Quicktime extension set, restarted, and it worked! Was able to install and use Toast.
But one last problem that I discussed before which on a clean restart, I cant click on anything untill I force quit finder and let it reload. Ive narrowed the problem down to the Open Transport extension. With the extension off, everything is fine, with it on, same problem as described above. I know Open Transport has to do with networking and this computer is normally on a network with a server(currently not on that network). Is that extension completely neccissary? Thanks for all the help thus far!

guys i need to install oldest version of mac osx

coz my connectiv box driver approve only 10.5.8
According to Mactracker, given the size of the screen and the CPU speed your MBP could be one of these models:
    - MacBookPro5,1, which originally shipped with OS X 10.5.5
    - MacBookPro5,3, which originally shipped with OS X 10.5.7
Since they originally shipped with OS X 10.5, the system disc that came with your MBP may have 10.5 on it. If so, you should be able to do a reinstall from the original disc. If you do a full backup to another volume before you do that, you can recover your data from the backup to your MBP. However, some migrating some of the data (such as Mail messages) may be tricky due to format changes.

  • Installing Roxio Toast 8 Titanium on Leopard

    Hi,

  • How to install parts of TM backup OSX 10.8?

    Hi!
Becaus of Seagate HD crash (late 2009 edition iMac27) I had to do a fresh OS install.
    Mountain Lion is noe installed.
Now I want to install old settings and documents, and some of the old programs from a Time Machine backup.
It is located on a Time Capsule.
How do I pick elementys and copy them over to my new install?
Is it possible to connect via ethercon, and will it go faster?
    Thanks!
    Best regards?
    KIS

Use Migration Assistant to transfer the files > http://pondini.org/OSX/MigrateLion.html It will create a new user with the transferred files.
Ethernet will make the transfer a bit faster, but it will still be slow.
If you are using OS X Mountain Lion and the backup you made was created with OS X Mountain Lion, I recommend you to erase the hard drive and restore the whole backup, being a more reliable and cleaner way of transferring your data. The only thing you have to do is to start up your iMac holding Command and R keys while your Mac is starting. Then, choose the option to restore a Time Machine backup and follow the steps

  • IDVD Burn via Roxio Toast Titanium v6

I'm using iDVD 5.0.1 on an eMac without an internal DVD-RW - my DVD burining is all done via Toast to an external SONY DVD-RW. I can't work out how to create an iDVD image which I can then drag into Toast to burn. (The shareware floating around which allows a choice of burn destinations from iDVD itself doesn't cover going via Toast.)
Does anyone have experience of this?
    Many thanks in advance.

Max now is a good time to buy Toast 7, and use the iMovie project right in that and make a disk image that you can easily burn on that drive.
You can select DL or not as you like, pick automatic or custom MPEG-2 compression options and of course make an image first and see how big it is and how it looks and operates. It has chapters though rudimentary (time based only) and better templates than Toast 6 (which well, had one basically).
I find the performance is much faster than iDVD as well.
Also if you find it made an image say 5 GB , you can either burn that to DL with room to spare, go back and up the compression quality to fit 8.5GB or use the compressor bulit in (was Popcorn's) to recompress that 5 GB to 4.3GB - basically it has way more options and controls than iDVD will ever have.

  • Roxio Toast Titanium

I am trying to burn 3.2 GB (7 hours) of videos onto a 4.7 GB dvd. Using Roxio, I tried to created a dvd-video, but was told that I needed 10.2 GB of free memory and I only had 4.38. What determines how much video you can put onto a 4.7 GB dvd? Would a 8.5 GB dual layer disc work? Why would my video fit onto a divx dvd, but not onto a dvd-video? Any help would be appreciated.

Of course they are copyrighted but it is legal to
make copies for your personal viewing as long you're
    not stripping any copy protection.
Really, where do you find that support?
    I read the legislation.
Can you legally make an AAC track from an audio CD track you have and copy it to your iPod? When you record a TV show with a VCR or DVD recorder are you allowed to legally keep it on your shelf and watch it again? Of course you can.
What you aren't allowed to do in the U.S. is to make copies for others, enable others to make copies from copyrighted programs you recorded, play the recorded programs for audiences outside your home or to stip copy protection in order to make make copies even for yourself without the license/copyright owners permission.
If the OP recorded The Office while it was being broadcast to his home he has every right to convert and save it in any other format that pleases him. But since he doesn't know how the AVI was created it's a fair guess that a copyright violation occurred in his acquisition of the video, unless it was acquired from a source that has the copyright owner's permission for distribution.
How is your understanding of media copyright different from my summary?

is it possible? please help me

CS2 will not install or run on modern Macs with Intel chips running OS X 10.10 (Yosemite).
CS2 is an old PowerPC application written for older Macs with PowerPC chips (incompatible with Intel chips) running OS X up to 10.3.8.
Modern Macs (all have Intel processors) running OS X with Rosetta (which enables Intel chips to run PowerPC software) will run CS2 but Rosetta was discontinued by Apple in OS X 10.7.
