How to install SSL certificate on the second ACE in the HA pair

Hi,
I'm struggling to figure out how to install a certificate (.p7b and .crf) on my second ACE in a HA pair.
On ACE01 i generated a CSR and gave the details to our SSL provider, they provided the certificates and i imported them. All good there.
How can i install the same SSL on ACE02 if i haven't generated a CSR on my backup devicde, or do i generate a CSR and import the same certificate?
Since bringing the ACE's into HA all contexts have sync'd and the backup ACE is in 'hot standby' state. But one context fails the sync and i think this is because the SSL certificate is not installed correctly on the second ACE02.
Anybody got any ideas, suggestions?

Hi,
If you already have the cert and key on the Active ACE, then you just need to export them using "crypto export ..." command from Active ACE and then import to the standby ACE using "crypto import ..."

sorry for hijacking but I have a related question to do with certificates.
I had to set up virtual domains manually instead of through the GUI and the server ssl site is now locked to a certificate that is about to expire and no longer needed, I can't change the certificate in the web gui because it was created manually, I can't delete the certificate because it is assigned to the server ssl website and I can't manually edit the conf files to point to a different certificate becasue it breaks it, any ideas?

I have installed Certificates for SSL in Planning server machine for Planning Web services.While connneting to Server through excel-addin from client machine it is not connecting
Error is bleow:
"The underlying connection was closed : could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel" and then getting the following error
"The PerformancePoint Server System is currently unavailable"
I got it this is due to Certification not installed in client machine.
So i tried to install certificate through IE web browser ..i typed webservices links ..i.e https://servername:443 in address box
..not admin console link.Because if i connect to Admin console then i connect to Planning server it is not showing me the dialog box " Security Alert "
So typed direcly webservices in address box.Then "Security Alert" dialog box opened ,In that i clicked "View Certificate" button and installed manually.Then this problem solved.
But i want to check this is a way to install cerficate in the client machine or there is any other way to do it automatically...
Please help me to solve this..

Abdul,
The problem seems to be that the certificate authority that created your certificate is no trusted by Windows.... That process of installing the root certificate in the clients machines should not be needed if the ceritifcate is obtained from the right ceritifcate authority...
Where did you purchased your certificate from?

Install SSL certificate - OS X Server 10.8.2

I am using OS X Server 10.8.2 with Server.app 2.2 and self-signed SSL sertificate. And I try use CA form Verisign.
I already success create CSR and get trial SSL certificate form Verisign. But I found I can't install SSL certificate correct and made it use in Profile Manager 2. When I check Profile Manager 2 in Server.app 2.2. I only see self-signed intermediate CA.
I check Apple on line guide and support site of Verisign but not found any latest guide of how to install it in Server.app. Any advice is welcome.

If you purchased the SSL certificate, you have to convert the certificate to "PEM"

is there a easy to install SSL certificate on ASA, rather than enroll with a public CA? ASDM has a place to import certificates. Can I just upload a SSL certificate I got from my CA to ASA, withou setup CA enrollment? And if yes, how can I generate a SSL certificate request from my ASA 8.2?

Before answering to your doubts,
Have you tested your SSL as per Page No:26 from the above document.
If It's positive, then your SSL is fine..no need to worry about anything.
You can customize the SSL connection across engine and subsequent navigation
as per page no:17 in the same doc.
after being done all the above positively
1) I am not able to find in the Trusted CAs, the private key that i created.
I'm afraid to answer this.however.... you said "I have also sent the CSR to the Certifiying Authority and I have got the Signed certificate back (i.e. .crt file)."
So, I assume that your SSL test works fine
may be you might need to check other section(like Trusted CA ..some other diffrent name) in the same Key Store for your private key info.
2) I have created the private key once and generated the CSR from it. I have also sent the CSR to the Certifiying Authority and I have got the Signed certificate back (i.e. .crt file). Now please tell me, DO I NEED THE PRIVATE KEY IN THE FUTURE FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE?????
You don't have to know about private key in the future.
You just have to make sure that SSL certificate is appears during navigation in the browser for you to click "Yes". still if you want to know what is your private key, I think You need to try out fresh SSL config in any other system/engine.

How to install system 9.1 on second drive of a G4 while running OS 10.5.8 on primary drive

I am Using a G4 OS 10.5.8, trying to install system 9.1 on an erased/reformated disk with system 9 drivers option selected. Can't boot with a 9.1 install disk by holding C key on startup. When booted with sys 10.5.8 attempting to install sys 9 on the reformatted drive yields error "classic functions are no longer supported" no luck just copying the software from the install disk, even though the drive shows up as an available startup drive, it never gets a spinning wheel during startup attempts.
Thinking about reinstalling the original powermac G4 software (there are other partitions or drives available) but trying the path of least resistance first.
Totally open to suggestions

Since you are running OS X 10.5 (Leopard) on that machine, unless you used one of the unsupported install methods your G4 has a processor that is 867MHz or faster (that's one of the requirements for Leopard).
Assuming that is the case, you will never be able to boot the machine to OS 9.1, or to any retail OS 9 Install CD.
The first G4 which met the 867MHz requirement was the QuickSilver '02 model (only the mid and upper speed units); all G4 MDD models meet that requirement.
All of the preceding which are OS 9 bootable (the G4 MDD FW800 model is not OS 9 bootable) can use only the model-specific version of OS 9.2.2 which shipped with them as a bootable OS 9.
The QS '02 models used a stand-alone OS 9.2.2 Install CD, labelled Software Install. Installation of OS 9.2.2 using that is straight-forward - boot the machine to the Software Install CD, and install OS 9.2.2 on the second drive.
The MDD models are a bit different. They came with a combination installer disk, one which booted to OS X but which was capable of also installing OS 9.2.2 (Classic, I think it is referred to in the installer's jargon).
Unfortunately, the installer on those disks seems to have a restriction - it will install OS 9 (Classic) only onto a volume which already has OS X installed on it. So, how to get OS 9-only on the second drive? Two ways -
A) Install OS 9 (Classic) onto the main drive, then copy it via drag-and-drop onto the second volume. Once placed there and tested for booting, remove the install of it placed on the original drive. Be sure to copy the folders named System Folder, Applications (Mac OS 9), and Documents; if there is a free-standing folder named Utilities, copy that too (it often is placed into the Applications (Mac OS 9) folder).
Possible issues -
* since the OS X on the original drive is Leopard, a substantly newer version that that on the OEM disk set, the installer on that disk set may balk at doing this.
• aliases will be broken by copying the system and support files to the second drive. This can include an alias to Sherlock in the Apple Menu Items folder in System Folder and perhaps one or more in the Application Support folder in System Folder. Alises can be repaired - do a Get Info on an alias, and the Get Info window will display a button which can be used to reconnect the alias to the appropriate original.
B) Install OS X (the version on the original install CD set) onto the second drive. Then install OS 9 (Classic) onto that drive. Once it has been tested for booting, throw away the OS X system and files from that drive.
Possible issue - deleting OS X can leave behind some invisible files. Unless you are very short on disk space, these should present no problem and can be ignored - OS 9 will not (can not) attempt to use them.

Unable to install SSL Certificate - ADMIN4118: Only one server certificate can be installed at a time

We are trying to install SSL certificate (Verisign Class 3) on iPlanet Web Server (version 7). However, at the final step we are getting the error "ADMIN4118: Only one server certificate can be installed at a time"
We are following the below steps,
Under "Server Certificates" tab,
     -> Click on "Install" button.
     -> On "Select Configuration" click on "Next" button.
     -> On "Select Tokens and Passwords", select default token as "internal" and click on "Next" button.
     -> On "Enter Certificate Data", select option as "Certficate File" and give path to the certificate file which is having .p7b extension
     -> On "Certificate Details" we are getting warning as "Duplicate Server Details Found" and it's by default using the existing certificate's nickname.
     -> On "Review" page after clicking "Finish" button, an error is displayed saying "ADMIN4118: Only one certificate server can be installed at a time"
There are multiple sub-domains availble and the new certificate we want to install contains one more sub-domain.
So, say currently the subdomains present are,
1.abc.com
2.abc.com
so on...
and now we are trying to install a SSL certificate having one more subdomain say 10.abc.com.
Please let us know if you have solution to this problem.

Hi Rajesh,
That error is most commonly seen when you are trying to install a certificate chain into the Web Server.
The chain should be installed using the "Certificate Authorities" tab per the following steps:
1) Login to the Admin Console.
2) Click Edit Configuration from Common Tasks > Configuration Tasks.
3) Click the Certificates > Certificate Authorities tab from the Configurations page.
4) Click the Install... tab from the Certificate Authorities (CAs) page.
An Install CA Certificate Wizard opens. The wizard guides you through the settings available for installing a Certificate Chain. Select Certificate Chain when prompted for Certificate Type.
You should then see the CA and intermediate certificate(s) listed in the security database.

How can I log into two differant accounts at the same time in two windows without the second window affecting the first.

I'm trying to log into two facebook accounts at the same time in differant windows. When ever I log into the second account in the second window it changes the login in the first window. When I hit home or any other link the first window account has been logged out and logged into the second window account. I tried installing a second copy of firefox in a differant folder that the first but it seems to use all the files of the first installation. If I can get 2 toatally seperated instalations that don't rely on the same history, cookies, cache, etc I belive that will solve my problem. Please help.

Nah, that won't work. Facebook has a feature that gets your IP Address, so as soon as you sign into one on the same computer, it changes the other login for safety purposes (say, someone was on a public library PC. They forgot to log out. Someone else logs in, and it automatically logs them out). You'll need 2 computers to do that.

which plug-in do you want to install?
some of the plug-ins come with an installer on the disk image, you click the installer and it will install it in its proper location.
For others you move the plug-in into to System Library or your User Library:
Your Hard disk > Library > Application Support >Aperture > Plug-Ins > Edit
or
Your Home Folder > Library > Application Support >Aperture > Plug-Ins > Edit
If it is an "Edit" plug-in, it goes into the "Edit" subfolder, "Export" plug-ins into the "Export" subfolder.
You can tell by the extension, what kind of plug-in it is.
E.G. BorderFX.ApertureExport is an export plug-in, BorderFXEditPlugin.ApertureEdit an edit plug-in.

    Finder > Go , then hold down the ⌥-option-key, untill the Library appears in the drop.down menu.
To show the System Library:

you can not create the containter for the synchronous interfaces.
you have to craete the two asysnchronous abstact interfaces .
thenusing those two abstract interfaces you have to define the containers in the BPM.
and you also have to define the interface mapping b/w those two abstract interfaces.
once you define the interface mapping you will be able to select the interface mapping using the transformation step in BPM.
once you select the interface mapping in BPM then you will be able to selece the interfaces
