I buy the ipod nano,but i don't know how to save the music my ipod nano by itunes,because i cannot install the disc on windows ME,PLEASE HELP

Sorry, but itunes cant be installed onto a windows ME machine, it is too old an operating system. You can:
1) Take the nano back if its within your stores money back time and buy another player thats compatable.
2) Upgrade to a better OS, windows XP is usually the one thats most available.
3) Install another player. Through one of Bruce Hoover's posts i learned of XPlay2, a free trial program downloadable from MediaFour.com that will let you do most things with your ipod that itunes would, including updating and restoring software. The only thing you cant do is buy from the itunes music store.

My family now proudly owns 2 iPods, but we only one PC. So it needs to host two iPods, with their resepctive iTunes on it.
I thought this was going to cause problems, and worried that installing iTunes for the most recently purchased iPod would overwrite the existing programme, wipe the music off it and cause my middle daughter to kill me. The guy in the shop said, no problem - create a new User Account and install the new iTunes on that, and it would be OK. So I did.
I got a bit worried when the install prog wanted me to put the new iTunes into the same folder that the old one was in, (even though I was logged in as a different, new user) so I found a new location for it and went ahead.
Guess what - it wiped the old iTunes anyway. When I opened up the old one, it had been overwritten anyhow.
I did a system restore to try and get it back to the previous setting - deleting the new user I had created. And went back into the old version of iTunes to see if the music files had come back. But it wouldn't even run - saying that some files were now missing.
This is doing my head in, it's happened before (and I had to buy Copypod to restore the stuff on my iPod).
How can you get two copies of iTunes on the same PC running two separate iPods?!! And how can I get the overwritten files back?

You don't need two copies of iTunes. There are a couple of methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Have a look at the article linked below. Method one is to have two Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you two completely separate libraries as each account using iTunes will have it's own iTunes Music Folder. Method two is to set your preferences so each iPod is updated with only certain playlists within one library. Pretty sure there never was iTunes 4.2.1 and if there was, it did not work with the iPod touch (any version).

Hello, you need to first download the java XML pack, downloadable from http://java.sun.com/xml/downloads/javaxmlpack.html
then place the xalan and xerces .jar files in the ext directory of your jdk, i.e. in jdk1.2/jre/lib/ext

I have two ipod touch and I recently bought in the iTunes Store the january update apps. On ipod one, which is connected with itunes on a mac, this smoothlessly installs. On ipod two, which is connected to a itunes on a win PC, I cannot get this upgrade to install. For both ipods I use the same itunes account.
The itunes on the PC tells me that I allready downloaded the apps. This is true they reside on my mac. I than copied the 'itunes/mobile applications' folder from the mac to the windows: 'C:\Program Files\iTunes\Mobile Applications\iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa' location. Restart itunes and resynced. I get no complains but nothing happens, even restart of ipod does not help.
Can anybody tell me how to solve this ?

No, you can use it on as many as you own.
We're actually (Chris CA) trying to get an answer from Apple on an official process for this.
The problem lies in transferring and/or using on two computers you own with the same account...

You should click on the error and under the action center try to find a solution and redownload. Otherwise try Microsoft help because its a Winders problem not instaling the drivers.

My wife bought me an ipod nano the other day and I am unable to get itunes to recognize it in the device menu. I have spent over 2 hrs attempting differnt suggestions with no results. I down loaded the newest version of itunes and when I plugged in my ipod nothing popped up and I was never given a chance to set it up. When I open the side bar there is no device option to sync music to the ipod, so what can I do?

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button until the screen goes dark. The Apple logo should appear after a few seconds, then the Home screen should appear.
That is a reset and your nano should show up.

ITunes and Windows will not recognize iPod Nano 3rd Generation

I've been on this ALL day. Neither Windows or iTunes will recognize iPod. I have uninstalled and re-installed iTunes.... I don't know how many times.
iPod is new. Was ok to sync music and photos last week.. but now nothing. Any ideas anybody... this is driving me nuts.
When plugging in iPod - it beeps and then right away says it is ok to disconnect and beeps again... and iPod goes on... and then charges up.
I was skeptical in buying an iPod for the kids... and now am disappointed. Please somebody... change my mind!!!!

I've been having a similar issue with my iPod. My iPod will not play songs. Basically, the song or podcast will appear on screen, but is stuck at 0:00 and will not play.
When I connected my iPod to my computer, it was not recognized by iTunes and it did not appear in My Computer. I checked the Windows Device Manager, and the device did appear there. Strangely enough, the device did appear in My Computer as a removable disk only after I closed out Device Manager. I'm wondering if I need to restore my iPod. How do I do so without iTunes?

If you just need to install some agents on Windows the best (imho) option is not to use the push option because getting Cygwin to run can take hours (if at all).

Sometimes the –silent mentioned in step 4b needs not to be put as second argument but as last argument.

its looking for you to update on your computer. if your on a windows your want to open up itunes. click on help, and then click check for updates and then that should let you up date it. mac you want to click on itunes up by file and edit then click check for updates

I am a bit confused on how to install the RDP role on a 2012 R2 server. I have a two server domain and would like to make the second member server an RDP server to host applications (Word, Excel, a medical software, etc.) where users from their windows
7 desktop will use the Remote Desktop Connection to connect to the server, create a session and do their work. When installing the role, I am prompted with two options:
1- Role-based or feature based installation
2- Remote Desktop services installation
I see the RDP install option in both cases.
1- Which one do I use?
2- What role services do I install? (Connection broker, Gateway, Licensing, Session Host, Virtualization host and Web access). I think I need the first four only.
3- When installing software after RDP, I use the Change user /install and Change user /execute commands. What happens to the software that is already installed? Can remote
users use those?
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thank you for your response. I added the RD Licensing thru the Role-based option.
Also opened the local group policy thru gpedit.msc and added the server name and the licensing mode type to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session
Host -> Licensing
Use the specified RD license servers = NameOfMyServer
Set the Remote Desktop licensing mode = TypeOfMyLicense (Per User in my case)
