How to install the 'january update' apps on a second ipod

I have two ipod touch and I recently bought in the iTunes Store the january update apps. On ipod one, which is connected with itunes on a mac, this smoothlessly installs. On ipod two, which is connected to a itunes on a win PC, I cannot get this upgrade to install. For both ipods I use the same itunes account.
The itunes on the PC tells me that I allready downloaded the apps. This is true they reside on my mac. I than copied the 'itunes/mobile applications' folder from the mac to the windows: 'C:\Program Files\iTunes\Mobile Applications\iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa' location. Restart itunes and resynced. I get no complains but nothing happens, even restart of ipod does not help.
Can anybody tell me how to solve this ?

No, you can use it on as many as you own.
We're actually (Chris CA) trying to get an answer from Apple on an official process for this.
The problem lies in transferring and/or using on two computers you own with the same account...

This means that you have iPhoto 09 (which is v8 - confusing, I know). To use Photostream you need iPhoto 11 (v9). This means you have to buy iPhoto 11.

Sorry, but itunes cant be installed onto a windows ME machine, it is too old an operating system. You can:
1) Take the nano back if its within your stores money back time and buy another player thats compatable.
2) Upgrade to a better OS, windows XP is usually the one thats most available.
3) Install another player. Through one of Bruce Hoover's posts i learned of XPlay2, a free trial program downloadable from MediaFour.com that will let you do most things with your ipod that itunes would, including updating and restoring software. The only thing you cant do is buy from the itunes music store.

I bought Logic pro in the app store and run it for now on my MacAir. I have, after successful installation, deleted the virtual intallation drive.
I know it is possible and allowed to use it on my iMac as well.
Question: How can I install it there? How can I get the installation files on my iMac?

Do not press a purchase button.. only a download button otherwise you may be charged again for Logic Pro.

Find the emailed receipt that Apple sent you when you originally puchased Logic Pro from the App store and check the email addess that was used to send it to you. Normally that is the same as the Apple ID that was used to purchase it... so make sure that is the same Apple ID that you are using in the App Store application when you signed in to it.
If it is the same and you still cannot download Logic Pro, you will probably need that receipt when you contact Apple to identify that you purchased Logic Pro.. so it's worth a look no matter what.

No, sorry! This update is only sold on iTunes Store and no other retail can offer you this. However, I can tell you that the file downloaded is "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa" and can be located:
Mac OS X:
~/Library/iTunes/Mobile Applications
Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings[user name]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\Mobile Applications\
Windows Vista:
C:\Users[user name]\AppData\Roaming
Apple Computer\iTunes\Mobile Applications\
Note: These locations are hidden by default in Windows. You can these locations by choosing "Show hidden files and folder" in the View tab of the Folder Options Control Panel.

After installing the latest update to itunes, and my ipod, I can no longer sync my computer and my ipod nomatter what I do. I have tried everything I know and can read. I am beginning to think it has something to do with the password that I changed, but I tried to change it back and nothing happens. Does anybody have any suggestions. I have been working on this for three hours and I can't figure it out? Apple is no help and it was their updates that messed the whole thing up.

I'm looking at getting myself an iPod Touch and I've found the 16GB version at a really low price but it doesn't mention whether it includes the January update. Do all new iPod Touch's include the January Update or do you still have to buy it separately?

It varies depending on where you look.
I emailed one online store (in the UK) asking whether or not the iPod Touch they were selling had the update and they said some of them do, some of them don't.
I would make sure you ask when ordering (unless from a site like Amazon which sells both those with updates and those without.

After installing the Security Update 2015-002 many system app icons have switched. How can I fix this?

I Installed the Security Update 2015-002 on March 13 on my 13-inch Macbook Pro (mid 2010) running Yosemite. However after it rebooted many of the system app icons have switched places. For instance: The delete button in finder has the icon for Full Screen (while others are just plain white). And the button for New Message in Mail now shows a search icon. I have some new info on the issueI thought I'd share with you.
First of all, I've installed Photoshop CC on my SurfacePro (Windows 8) and do not have the lag issue there. It's very similar hardware to my MacBook Pro. So the issue must have something to do with my MacBook.
After a lot of tinkering I discovered that it is my 27" Thunderbolt Display that is causing the brush lag. When I unplug it and only use my built in 13" screen the brush lag is gone. Aha!
I tried every available option in the Performance section but nothing helped. Again, Photoshop CS5 with attached Thunderbolt Display doesn't have a brush lag issue.
I'd be interested to know everyone else's setup who is experiencing this problem.

Hi there, after I installed the OSX 10.8.3 update I can't open my Email and App Store apps. This is the popup message that appears when i try to open those apps. I tried to reinstall the app but I can't open my App Store. I also downloaded and installed the OSX Update 10.8.3 and the 10.8.2 again from the download support page, but I couldn't solve my problem. Back up your system drive completely. If you have no backup plan in place, now would be a good time to start. You can use CarbonCopyCloner to make a complete, bootable backup of your system on another drive or volume. After you have done this: download the combo update using the link supplied by Niel and run the installer.

By 'desktop' do you mean your iPad's homescreen or a desktop computer ?
If your iPad then try closing the App Store app via the taskbar and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the AppStore app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
