Links would have been helpful... There doesn't seem to be anything in the AUR, so you'll probably need to write your own PKGBUILD for it:

  • How to install Oracle 11 R2 Client (11.2.0.1.0) on OpenSuse 12-64

I would like to install the Oracle 11 client on OpenSuse 12-64, but when I try, the installer shows me a list of about 20 kernel parameters and packages that are incorrect. The packages required by the Oracle client are all older versions than the ones I have available.
I tried to install the latest client version (11.2.0.2.0), hoping it would use newer packages, but it just aborts with the error .../.oui: cannot execute binary file.
My Oracle 11g R1 database is running on OpenSuse 11.1-64 quite nicely by the way - I had no issues with packages there...
    My questions are:
    1. Can any one point me to the prerequisite list for the Oracle Client on Linux? Maybe I can find another Linux distro or OpenSuse version that works...
    2. Can anyone suggest a way out of this mess that doesn't require installing a bunch of ancient packages?
Thanks in advance for any light you can throw on this issue...

You find the prerequisites in the installation guide, additional remarks may be in the patchset readme files:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24325/toc.htm
If you have already newer packages, you may ignore the prerequisite checks. But OpenSuse 12-64 is not supported, no guarantee that it works at the end.

  • How To Install Informatica and DAC Client on windows

    Dear Friends,
I had installed Oracle Informatica 8.6.1 and Oracle DAC Server (10.1.3.4.1) on Linux server (RHEl 32 bit)
Now i want to install Informatica and DAC Clients on windows machine.
Where to download the software and in the existing Dump i don't find any install.bat file / client folder as mentioned in some sites.
    Please help
    Regards,
    DB

    Hi,
When you have downloaded the informatica software you will get 2 zip files (V20952-01_1of2.zip,V20952-01_2of2.zip). When you Unzip these two files you will find pc861_client_win32_x86.zip file.
Unzip this pc861_client_win32_x86.zip file and browse to this location pc861_client_win32_x86\Client\Disk1\InstData\VM, here you will find install.exe an executable file. This will install informatica client.
For installing DAC browse to this location DAC 10.1.3.4.1\dac\Disk1\install\win32 and there you will find setup.exe executable file. This will install DAC.
If you need further information plz do post it......

  • How to install and use a client certificate for use with https sites on Android?

I need to be able to install a .p12 client side certificate to be sent to the admin section of my company's site to authenticate me as an employee. In FireFox for PC there is the ability to install this client certificate. In the mobile I cannot figure out how to get this to work.
I just bought an Asus Transformer Android Tablet running Honeycomb. I have tried the following method below:
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/786035
I get to the screen where I am able to present and choose a certificate but I still get the (Error code: ssl_error_handshake_failure_alert).
Now that Android is really picking up steam, there needs to be a way to install client side certificates to present to sites requesting them.
Is there another way to hack the system to allow or install a client side certificate in .p12 format?

Sorry, there's not a good way to install client certificates in Firefox 4 for Android. A bug has been filed, and any work that we do on adding this feature will be tracked here:

  • How to install certificate in im client

i can't find the procedure for installing a certificate in the client - i did the server part:
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-4412/6n6ikpsut?a=view
but now i can't find how to do the client part - i'm just using the standard im client obtained from:
    https://localhost/im
    which does a jnlp activation.

ok - woo hoo - tls encryption kicked in - so i found a parameter that i had not set that was mentioned in the reference section, but overlooked (by me?) in the procedure: iim_server.certnickname - i had wondered how it knew which cert to pull, so i had named the cert the same name as the host to compensate - and there was, after all, only one cert in the file. anyway that plus using the sun mozilla browser on the same host as the im server caused the lock to turn on in the im frame. unfortunately - when i used a mac to try and have a conversation - the mac lock did not turn on - the java version on the mac is:
    java version "1.5.0_07"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_07-164)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_07-87, mixed mode, sharing)
the version on the sun is: 1.5.0_09-b-3. i'll open a forum question about whether a mac is supported and then i'll try im with tls on a pc, then i'll use snoop to make sure the conversation is encrypted. i used the mac in all my testing yesterday - so i t could be that the sun mozilla browser may have been working all along - who knows?

  • How to install OSX 10.6 client in Mac Mini Server 10.7 Lion Server

I am ordering a Mac Mini Server with Lion Server 10.7, with 256GB SSD and 750GB HD.  I want to use Snow Leopard (client/workstation) instead.  Previously I have already purchased retailed version of 10.5 clients and 10.6 client upgrade.  Please advise the best approach from the followings (or more suggestions from you guys...).
    (A) The boot disk (likely to be the SSD) will be re-formatted and re-installed by "clean" installation of 10.6 client.  But I am not sure whether all hardware drivers for the new Mac Mini (2011) are available in the 10.6 client disk.  Also, it seems to me that installation disk of 10.7 server will not be provided.  So I shall not be able to re-install server version again if I want to change this Mac to a server sometimes afterwards.  Of course I would like to keep this server software for investment protection, no matter I use it or not.  If 10.6 client can be installed, I shall use bootcamp to install Windows 7 also.  So there will be 2 partitions to be usable aparently.
    (B) The factory-installed OSX 10.7 server is kept, and one more partition is created (with Disk Utilties).  Snow Leopard workstation 10.6 will be installed at this new partition.  If 10.6 client can be installed, I shall use bootcamp to install Windows 7 also.  So there will be 4 partitions, including 10.7 server, 10.6 client, 10.7 recovery drive and bootcamp for Windows 7.  Since I want to put all OS software at the SSD (faster boot-up and better performance), the drawback is that each partition is with less space.
Do you guys have other ideas or suggestions?
    [Background]
In fact I want to make use of its strongest computing power (amongst available Mac Mini computers in store), quad-core CPU & dual disks,  to run music applications (DAWs).  Operating systems are put at SSD, and data is put at traditional harddisk.  As some music applications (e.g. Calkwalk Dimension) only support 10.6 currently, I need to down-grade from Lion server to Snow Leopard workstation.  Also I think applications can run faster in a hardware with  workstation OS (rather than server version). Please correct me if this belief is wrong.
    Thanks / Howard.

If you completely wipe the original Mac mini boot drive you will wipe the Server.app software an dlose it. You should make a backup first, perhaps by saving the entire boot drive as a Disk Image file on to another drive.
In terms of install 10.6, the 10.6 DVD will not boot on the new Mac mini even if you connect a DVD drive. You need to put the Mac mini in to FireWire Target Disk Mode and connect it to an older Mac that will allow booting from that DVD, then install on to the Mac mini (over FireWire), you then need to upgrade it using the 10.6.8 Combo Updater this will add the drivers needed for the new Mac mini.

  • How to Install 10gr2 SQL Plus client

    Hi All,
We have oracle database 10gr2 located at our server.

Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production

That means I have Oracle 9i client installed on my local machine and connecting to 10gr2 database.
So to have 10g client, do I need to install the Oracle 10gr2 database in my local machine. (Download 600+Mb of Software from OTN and install) Or is there any where that I can have 10g client on my Local machine.
    Appreciate your response,

Madhu K.You can continue to use the 9i client, or you can install the 10g client. You do not have to install the 10g database, but I believe you have to download the database media, as the client is not packaged separately. Just choose "client" as an install option.

  • How to install SSRS project on another server where there is no SSDT?

    Hi!
I have a developer environment with SSDT and My SSRS project.
How do I install the whole project with Shared Dataset, shared DataSource, Reports to another server, where doesn't SSDT?
P.s. I can't connect to client server with my visual studio from my developer environment.

    Hello,
What exactly do you mean with "install project"? Do you mean to deploy created reports? You can e.g. manually upload the report files (.RDL) via Report Manager UI. Or do you mean to edit the project on an other machine? Then you have to install SSDT or at
    least Report Builder 3.0.

  • How to install JAVA API client files :: Using JAVA Proxy & NWDS

    Hi
I am going to integrate the SAP with one "AB" System which is providing Java API to integrate with their client ( which in turn will connect with AB System ). So AB System is providing JAR files & property files, in order to instantiate objects & call those APIs.
Now I am going to write the JAVA code in NWDS which is installed on my Laptop so I am sure I need to give this jar files under ::
<i>Project -> Properties and then Java Build Path -> Libraries.
    Choose Add External JARs</i>
But where do I need to add property files.
Also do I need to install the same files on XI Server too & do I need to install the "AB" System Client also on XI Server or it can be installed some place else too.
    Regards
    - Lalit -

    Lalit,
    ><i>But where do I need to add property files</i>
How are you going to access the properties file? Are you going to use Java IO to read the file or are you dgoing to bundle the property file as a resource and use the getResource() . If you are going to use Java IO then you will have to hard code the property file path in your code and make sure that your Proxy can read the property file.
If your property file is going to vary across environments, I woudl suggest this approach. Make sure that the property file path will be same in all environments and it will work fine and make sure that your proxy will have OS level IO access as well.
Another option would be to have the property file bundled as a respurce, but, making changes to the file in this case will be an issue!
    ><i>Also do I need to install the same files on XI Server too & do I need to install the "AB" System Client also on XI Server or it can be installed some place else too.</i>
When you create the EAR file for your Java Proxy, remove all XI .jar files and just make sure that the Client JAR is available in the EAR file. You need not install the Client JAR file anywhere as long as the jar file is a part of the EAR!

  • How to install and use certificates on client?

Hello everyone, and first of all sorry for my poor, italian-accented english.
I have some questions about SSL and certificates. I'm developing a java desktop application, which should connect to a https server, authenticate with a previously downloaded certificate and then gain access. Some specs: I work on a Windows Xp Pro machine with Netbeans 6.1 and jdk 1.6.0_07.
Now, I'm using HttpUnit libraries to connect the first time, login with basic authentication and download the certificate, but after i get it I'm not sure how to install the certificate (using java, it has to be an automated procedure) on the client machine and then how to use it to connect to the server. I've tried to use the code I've found here and after using it I can see the certificate inside Control Panel > Java > Securiy > Certificates > System, but I'm not sure I'm installing it in the correct way and/or in the correct path.
Everytime I try to connect to the server I get back a HTTP 403 forbidden exception. Does someone know any tutorials/howtos/example codes to suggest to me? Or could tell me what's the right installation procedure using java? Any help would be very appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    K.

After banging my head on my keyboard for a lot of hours, I've got it!
I was trying to install a *.pfx certificate, and that was bad. I tried to convert it in *.p12 or *.cer but that workaround didn't work. Finally I've found a small code to use a *.pfx certificate without installing it and... it works! No more 403 errors now, I can get that damn page. :)
Here is the class I've used (I've found it somewhere googling around but I've lost the link, sorry. Anyway, I've modified it a little)
