How to install updates for Adobe Reader 10.1.0

I have installed Adobe Reader 10.1.0,  and I want to upgrade it to 10.1.3. Do I only need install Adobe Reader 10.1.3 update?? Or I also need install 10.1.1 and 10.1.2 updates??? Thanks.

Adobe Reader's updates are cumulative.  You can install the 10.1.3 update alone and be up-to-date.

  • How to install plugins for Adobe Reader as non-root?

I'm using Acrobat on a linux system, but I'm not the administrator. I need to install a new plugin (FileOpen.api from www.nr.com) to open their pdf-files. They explain very nice how to place that plugin in the plug_ins directory, but that's a systems directory and you need to be root to do that, which is not an option in my case. However: it is very common practice on linux systems that these type of things can also be installed under some users-dir, for example ~/.acrobat/plug_ins This example definitely does NOT work, but which directory will work?

    Hi Jakob,
You can place your plugins in a folder named 'plug_ins' under your home directory:
    $HOME/plug_ins
They will be picked up by the Adobe Reader if they are Reader-enabled.

It would seem you have the Windows installer version 3.1 installed on your system.
To verify the same, can you please download the 11.0.01 Reader patch directly from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.01/misc/AdbeRdrUpd11001.msp and see if double clicking the same also results in the same error message.
If so, then can you please try and apply the latest Windows Updates on your system which may auto update the installer engine at your end. Also, you could see if the following helps: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913754.

  • How can I disable notification for new install update for adobe??

How can I disable notification for new install update for adobe (adobe reader, flash player, etc.)
Is there way from SCCM2012 or group policy or any easy way?????
    Please help me

If you mean the built-in functionality of Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash, it's different mechanism for both.
For the reader, check this guide for example:
    http://www.adminarsenal.com/admin-arsenal-blog/bid/84409/Adobe-Customization-Wizard-XI-Tutorial
For flash, check this guide for example:
    http://jthys.wordpress.com/2012/07/07/disable-automatic-updates-for-adobe-flash-shockwave-player-reader/
After you've studied the above guides, you need to implement those to be used with ConfigMgr application deployment so that when you deploy Reader/Flash, you get the result you want = no automatic update functionality.

I can not install updates for Adobe 9 Pro

When you can not install the updates from the Help menu, go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows (similar for MAC) and install the updates in order. It is a good idea to download from the most recent back in case there are any you can skip (each updates indicates the prior version required). You generally need to reboot only after the last update.

  • Remove an update for Adobe Reader

    Hi everyone,
I have searched around and couldn't find an answer regarding this... I would like to remove update 11.0.10 for Adobe Reader. I need to do this in order to test some of our in-house applications.
I would like to remove the update only, not the whole Adobe Reader application since we might have to push a solution to thousands of people.
I tried multiple MSIEXEC.EXE commands to uninstall the patch but always get an error stating that this patch cannot be uninstalled. is it true? Am I forced to uninstall the whole product?
    Thanks for your help

I should say so, yes. I don't think Adobe Reader does the necessary thing of keeping copies of all modules at all versions so you can roll back selectively.
You could probably slipstream patches into the original 11.0 installer to make a single install, using normal Windows Installer techniques.

  • Updates for Adobe Reader

Has anyone run into the following:
Adobe releases updates for the reader and the user logged in does NOT have admin rights.  So the user is prompted for an admin account. (The OS is Windows 7)
Is there a way to set this up so the udpates get automatically installed and not require admin credentials?
    Thanks.

No; the only way to achieve this is by deploying Adobe Reader centrally.
See http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/it-resources.html#deployment for some documents regarding this.

  • How to register Plugin for Adobe Reader X (10.0)?

    Hi,
I have received Adobe RIKLA license with digital certificate (.rc) and it's working fine in Adobe Reader 9. I used SignPlugin method register our Plugin with Adobe Certificate. My question is 'how to proceed for Adobe Reader X (latest version)?'. Please provide some pointer.
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks Ironsenth, it worked for me in Adobe Reader X.
But the problem is, my toolbar is appearing in Right-Hand side panel unlike Adobe Reader 9. How can I drag my toolbar in the proper position like Adobe Reader 9.

  • Help!! Can't install Imageviewer for Adobe Reader 8

I get this error message when I try to install the ImageViewer plug-in for Adobe Reader 8: "A suitable version of Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader was not found on this system. The Image Viewer plugin requires Acrobat version 5.0 or later. The plugin will not be installed."
I have checked my version and it's 8.1.2

ImageViewer is an old plug-in, obsolete with current versions of
Reader. I seem to remember that Reader includes what the plug-in used
to do. Are you trying to solve a particular problem?

  • Update for Adobe Reader 9

    Hi Everyone
    Hope someone can help.
I already have Adobe Reader 10 installed though I recently installed "Bullguard Interne Security 2012", and this informed me that Adobe Reader 9 needed to be update, as there are "Vulnerabilities" Adobe Reader 9, and to click on the link to update, though when I click on the link it says the patch doesn't exist and to contact Adobe themselves.
As I already have Adober Reader 10, can I get rid of 9?, if not, do I still need to update Adobe Reader 9 at all?
    Hope someone can help.
    Many thanks
    James
