How to install visual basics for iMac?

HOw do I sinstall visual basics for iMac?

If you are referring to the programming language Visual Basic from Microsoft, it is a Windows only product. You'l need to install Windows via BootCamp or virtualization to use VB.

    Hi microsoft team,
I recently download the visual basic 6.0 in my windows 8 laptop. But it is not working properly in my system.
When i was run the visual basic program it will show "visual basic has stopped working window is checking solution for the problem"like this.
My program is not running. Please tell me the remedy for this kind of problem.
    Thank you

    Hello Vijayalakshmi,
First of all, please make sure that you run the installer with elevated permissions (run as an administrator).
Also please take a look at the
Install Visual Basic 6 in Windows 8 guide. It describes all the required steps for installing VB6:
    1. Right click on setup.exe of your VB6 install and check Run as Administrator with XP SP 3 compatibility pack. I tried Windows 7 compatibility, it also worked.
    2. During the setup, go to components and select everything you want to install except for "Data Access". If "Data Access" is selected, the install will hang even though everything will be installed. Disabling "Data Access"
ensures that the install completes and restarts your computer to finalize the install. Why this hangs the system is beyond me. LOL.
    3. I am using a 64bit machine, this is not supported by Microsoft and will not be supported as VB6 is 32 bit and should be hosted in 32 bit system. Thus some controls in my system didn't work. I found my listview control didn't want to burge at all.
    4. Download and install VB6 Service Pack (SP6) Runtime Extended (what??) from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957924?wa=wsignin1.0
    5. Now you can start vb6 ide and code, everything should be mnca!
    6. Step 1 done, now to code and install my VB6 app in some WinXp, Vista and & 7 machine!!
    crossing fingers

    Hello,
VB 6 is no longer supported by Microsoft. I’d suggest asking in one of the following third-party forums which support Visual Basic 6.

  • Message Error : Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is not installed - Office Home & Business 2013 - Lync 2013

    Hi,
I have an issue related to Office h&b 2013 and Lync 2013.
Office h&b is installed on many computers, and we are deploying Lync 2013.
In Lync 2013 it's possible to share Powerpoint presentation (if you have a Office Web Apps server installed).
With a PC using Office Pro 2013, no problem. Powerpoint sharing with Lync 2013 is working.
    With a PC using Office H&B 2013, I have a message :
"XXXXX.pptx couldn't be converted for presentations because Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is not installed on this computer. Please
    install VBA and try again."
VBA is installed and usable in all Office applications.
Office H&B is a click to Run installation and doesn't permit to add or remove features.
Lync 2013 custom install permit to choose the installed features. VBA is already installed.
I searched in many forums, including this one, and... no answers, or better say, no good answers.
    Because :
    - It's not possible add VBA from Office H&B 2013 install.
    - Repairing Office does not solve the problem.
    Any Idea ?
    Thanks for your help !
    Regards
    Stéphane

As far as I know, Lync 2013 is not available with Office Home & Business 2013, you can check

Yes, it's true, Lync 2013 is not part of Office home & Business 2013, but you can install,it as standalone product.

  • How can I fix 'Can't Load Visual Basic for Applications' in Word 2011 for Mac?

How can I fix 'Can't Load Visual Basic for Applications' in Word 2011 for Mac? I reinstalled Office after macbook was restored and now I've tried reinstalling twice but the same error turns up. There seems to be an associated error realted to the database, which send me to Database Utility. This turns up every time I open Word, then the VBA error message turns up 4 times, or if i click on Visual Basic Editor.

in case it's useful to some other soul who searched Google in vain and found this page, I posted a fix that worked for me under https://discussions.apple.com/message/21732017

  • How can i download the visual basic for mountain lion

hi, how can i download visual basic for my mac on os x mountine lion?

There is no Visual Basics for Macs. Real Studio works on OS X and is quite similar to Visual Basic. You should check it out, I bet it will work well for you programming course.
    http://www.realsoftware.com
If not, you will have to put Windows on the Mac using Boot Camp or a Virtual Machine like Paralells Desktop 8 and use that to run VB directly. Of course, you can also use BootCamp but I recommend Paralells over Bootcamp.

  • Office 2011 - Can't Find Visual Basic for Applications Error

I have recently installed Microsoft Office 2011 on my Mac and have been using the Dev tools to program macros in VB. Suddenly, it stopped loading it when I try to enter the VB workspace and throws an error stating that "Can't Find Visual Basic for Applications." The error tries to be helpful, but in a typical Microsoft way is just plain vague. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem, but have no odd characters in my hard disc name.
I am pteey annoyed as I bought Office 2011 pre-loaded on my new Macbook, but it did not have the VBA (which is why I wanted Offfcie rather than the free OpenOffice in the first place).
VBA is supposedly on the Office distrbution CD, so I went through the loop of re-installing Office 2011 with the VBA option ticked. No VBA apperared. After 3 times trying the install, still no VBA. The macbook has the VBA framework file installed in the applications folder, but the clicking the editor tab in the developer tab of Excel just brings up an error massage sayng VBA is not installed.
Not clear where to go from here. Try the Genious Bar at the local mac store?

  • MS Visual Basic for Applications will not apply digital signatures

When using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications within any office application (Excel in this case), i cannot see the certificate store when creating digital certificates. It appears to be localised to the operating system but can't seem to find the issue.
To create the digital signature within Excel i normally go to Developer > Visual Basic > Tools > Digital Signature.  When i select 'Choose', the certificates are not presented.
    Has anyone experienced this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
As far as I know, If we want to use the digital signatures, we need to Digital Certificate for VBA Projects tool which a set of extra tools. I recommend we repair/reinstall the tool with a backup install CD.
Then, we may follow the below links to reset a digital signatures and add the digital signatures in the trust list(Location: File>Option>Trust center.) to test if it is helpful:

  • How to install Leopard in my iMac if it has no DL-DVD player?

How to install Leopard in my iMac if it has no DL-DVD player?
    My eMac is:
    eMac G4/1.25 (USB 2.0) with 2GB RAM

Most PPC Macs cannot boot OSX from USB, they need Firewire... that being said, out of 13 PPC Macs I had one that booted from USB Drives, including Flash Drives, it was my eMac/1.42GHz as a matter of fact, USB drives would show as a boot choice if I held the Option/alt key at bootup, (nowhere else), but It lost that ability when I reset the NVRAM.
The USB boot workaround that works for some is...
Connect the drive to your machine, and find out which partition the OS X system is installed on. I usually find this by going to Disk Utility and looking at the info for the partition on the USB disk with OS X. That is, disk2s3 is usually for a USB disk with no OS 9 drivers installed that is the second disk disk. disk3s9 might be a USB disk with OS 9 drivers that is considered the third disk. There are other ways of finding this out, but in my case, my disk is disk2s3 (the 3 on the end will come into play soon).
Start up the machine in Open Firmware (this is the fun part). Hold Command-Option-F-F right after the machine is turned on.
Here is the moment of truth. If this step does not work, I have had very limited success getting a machine to boot off USB2. In Open Firmware, type devalias, and you should get a list as output. In this list, look for ud, usually below where you see hd (ud is "USB Disk," I presume). If found, it will usually have beside it /pci@f2000000/usb@1/disk1, or something similar. Again, if you see this, I have not had this fail yet.
Now type printenv boot-device, which will usually get you output of boot-device hd:,\\:tbxi. (See where this is going yet?)
Type setenv boot-device ud:3,\\:tbxi where the number after the colon corresponds to that partition number we found in step two. You should get an ok back.
Type printenv boot-device, and you should see the change displayed already. Something like:
    boot-device        ud:3,\\:tbxi        hd:,\\:tbxi"

You'd need to clone the Install Disc to a Flash Drive, or make a DMG of it then Restore it to the Flash drive.

OS X already comes with Gujarati fonts, so you don't need to install anything.  Can you not read this page?
    http://www.gujaratsamachar.com/
If you want to type Gujarati, you need to go to system preferences/international/input sources and check the box for Gujarati, plus the box for Show Input Menu in Menu Bar, plus the box for Keyboard Viewer.  Then select Gujarati from the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen and type.  To see which key does what, select Keyboard Viewer from the same menu.
I recommend you do NOT install Gujarati fonts from the internet, because OS X only works right with those provided by Apple.  Especially avoid non-Unicode fonts from long ago like Saumil.  The international standard is Unicode now.

I've installed windows 7 with the help of bootcamp on my macbook pro 2011.
Please help me how to install mac drivers for windows7 64 bit???

You either download drivers from within Boot Camp Assistant and save to USB FAT disk, or you insert and use 10.6.x OS X DVD when in Windows and install and run the SETUP from there.

Step 4: Install the Boot Camp Drivers for Windows
After installing Windows, install Mac-specific drivers and other software for Windows using your Mac OS X installation disc.  The Mac OS X disc installs drivers to support Mac components, including AirPort,built-in iSight camera, the Apple Remote, the trackpad on a portable Mac, and thefunction keys on an Apple keyboard.
The Mac OS X disc also installs the Boot Camp control panel for Windows and theApple Boot Camp system tray item.
To install the Boot Camp drivers:
1 Eject the Windows installation disc.
2 Insert the Mac OS X disc.  If the installer doesn’t start automatically, browse the disc using Windows Explorerand double-click the setup.exe file in the Boot Camp directory.
    3 Follow the onscreen instructions.
If a message appears that says the software you’re installing has not passed Windows  Logo testing, click Continue Anyway.
Windows that appear only briefly during the installation don’t require your input.
If nothing appears to be happening, there may be a hidden window that you mustrespond to. Check the taskbar and look behind open windows.
Important: Do not click the Cancel button in any of the installer dialogs.
4 After your computer restarts, follow the instructions in the Found New Hardware  Wizard to update your software drivers (Windows XP only).
5 Follow the instructions for any other wizards that appear.
6 Check for updated Boot Camp drivers by using Apple Software Update or going to www.apple.com/support/bootcamp.
If You Have Problems Installing the Device Drivers
If it appears that the Boot Camp drivers weren’t successfully installed, try repairing them.
    To repair Boot Camp drivers:
1 Start up your computer in Windows.
2 Insert your Mac OS X installation disc.
3 If the installer doesn’t start automatically, browse the disc using Windows Explorerand double-click the setup.exe file in the Boot Camp directory.
4 Click Repair and follow the onscreen instructions.
If a message appears that says the software you’re installing has not passed Windows  Logo testing, click Continue Anyway.
If you need to reinstall specific drivers, you can install one driver at a time. For example,if your built-in iSight camera isn’t working, you can reinstall just the iSight driver.
Individual drivers are in the Drivers folder on the Mac OS X installation disc.

does any body know the procedure
    cheers

    Hi Akhil,
TPZ files you talking about are related to SAP Systems-MDM integration, i think. They need to deploy on integration engine of XI and require special permissions. Basis Admin of XI server can help you in this regard.
Most of them contains IR(Design Part) objects and after deploying thenm you need to do configuration part.
Ask your Basis Admin of XI to deploy them on XI server.
