How to install workflow

I installed oracle8i download from OTN,
while how do I find the workflow in oracle 8i?
Please help me in this.

Hi,
I think it is the same as installing 9i. The workflow software is on the Oracle 8i CD. You've to run the oracle installer again and I think you'll find there an option 'Oracle8i Management and Integration'. Choose for custom installation. You'll see that the workflow parts are selected. Follow the wizard and workflow will be installed.
For the Oracle Workflow client:
run the oracle installer again. I think you can choose for 'Oracle Client'. Choose for custom installation and check if the oracle workflow client software is checked.
There will be other parts of the client selected, but I think you need these parts ... So,just run it.

I hope your problem is solve, but recently i was also looking for the same information. I find 2.6.4 version should be install on 10.2. You can download it from companion CD of oracle 10g. Then install 10g product then http server. But if you have some information or some notes do share.

How to install workflow from 9ias

Hi, we have 9ias 1.0.2.2.0 and need to install workflow 2.6. documentation says it is included but we can not find it. do I need to install enterprise edition? any suggestions are welcome.

We have Apps R12. Is workflow builder included in media pack? Or workflow builder is a separate lisence product.

But I can not understand why it is mentioning about 10g database and below, and does not mention if my database is 11g.
And the fact that thsi note is updated Aug 2010.
Is it just my poor comprehension of the notes?I checked certification matrix and i cant see its certified wiht 11g(if i dont look wrong site)

Only the latest version of WLP which is WLP 10.3.2 has facility to integrate with Oracle UCM with Adapaters. So make sure that you do have this latest version of WLP 10.3.2. Older versions like WLP 10.3 do not have this provision.
Also I guess when you install and configure this Oracle UCM Adapater and choose above WLP Home, I guess these modules may be added in already installed WLP folders. I checked on my side for WLP 10.3.2 and I could NOT find the modules you mentioned. So most probably you may be missing some installation/configuration stuff from UCM side.

There are two major components to install in Oracle Workflow.
1. Workflow Client - Otherwise called Oracle Workflow Builder, this is a windows based tool to design and develop your workflow process. This tool is the developer's tool for transforming the business process into a workflow process. The process definition can be stored to filesystem as a file with .wft extension or directly to a database where workflow server is installed.
2. Workflow Server - Workflow engine that executes the workflow process designed using the workflow builder above. The workflow process designed above is loaded into the workflow server either from the builder directly by connecting to the workflow server schema or using the workflow definitions loader which is a command line utility that reads the .wft file.
Installation
1. You may install the Workflow Builder 2.6.2 downloadable from OTN on your PC. This needs an appropriate Oracle Home using which the builder is built by Oracle. I believe 2.6.2 can be installed into a 9i home. It is better that you install the builder into a new Oracle Home and not use any existing homes.
2. Workflow Server 2.6.2 is shipped with Oracle Database 9iR2. In the additional or optional components (not sure about the exact words) section of your 9iR2 CD you can find Oracle Workflow 2.6.2 that provides the workflow server. You may install this into the existing Oracle Database 9iR2 Oracle home. After installing oracle workflow server you should run the Workflow Configuration Assistant to create the workflow schema in the database and create the required objects in the schema in order for the Workflow Engine to be become operational.
In summary, installation of Workflow Server has two phases.
o Install Oracle Workflow to 9iR2 home.
o Run Workflow Configuration Assistant to configure the workflow server
Once the Workflow Configuration Assistant is run successfully, you need to set up the PLSQL DAD (Database Access Descriptor) to access workflow home page using the Apache server that comes bundled with Oracle Database 9iR2.

Do i need another Virtual machine rather than sharepoint server to install workflow manager ?

manager in the sharepoint 2013 itself. Do i need to install workflow manager in another server and make it to communicate with sharepoint server ? And how to email-id in workflow when i tried in sharepoint designer we have select the user. How to allocate

The following additional requirements must be met before you can run Configuration Wizard to configure Workflow:
Instance of SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1, SQL Server Express 2008 R2 SP1, or SQL Server 2012.
TCP/IP connections or named pipes must be configured in SQL Server.
Windows Firewall must be enabled.
Ports 12290 and 12291 must be available.

How to instal/set UWL in order to test WF functionality also on test system

I am replacing colleague who is on hollydays.
I am pritty new in EP area. We have integrated ESS functionality with some approval workflows.
WF guy told me I have to maintain the UWL on test system as this one can not communicate with test backend system.
So far I created iviews with SAP transactions(and one with URL), page workset and a test role on an brand new system enironment consisting of an ides ecc on an freshly installed EP system.
On old test EP I am very confused (maybe because of ESS package). Other confusing thing is that on this EP system I can not add e.g an i.view(there I can not as "No templates to display. You are not assigned to any existing templates.").
So my question would be :
1.How to instal/set UWL (so that workflows can be tested on test environment i.e. old test system with ESS package in connection with backend
2.How could I get reed of "No templates to display. You are not assigned to any existing templates." message(espetially if this has any impact on qustion 1.)

How to execute workflow with pl/sql?

My foregoing work has been done with owb including building dimension table, face table, mappings, and workflow process. if I don't install workflow server/client program module, how to execute the workflow process? Can PL/SQL do this and how to?

Process Flow: how to install OWF for OWB?

Hi all,
I installed OWB 10.2 and I don't know how to install OWF, or better:
- I installed OWF 2.6.4 server from OWF CD
- I crated the OWF location
- I registered the OWF location
- I created a Process Flow but when I deploy it, it appears this error message:
ORA-01924: role 'OWB_O_OWBRT_OWNER' not granted or does not exist
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SESSION", line 132
ORA-06512: at line 1
How can I mange it?
Is not possible to install OWF from OWB Reposiroty Assistant?
Or what kind of grants does it need?

You have to make the workflow manager schema as an OWB user.For that goto global explorer -->user-->right click on it select your workflow manager schema and click finish ...that should do the trick

There is service application\option in SharePoint 2013 where you can see workflow 2013.
You can see workflow 2013 in designer which comes with Workflow manager 2013. Also you have to configure workflow manager 2013 as per below:
